So many people are focused on this one Dr. Doom. With the TVA/Multiverse groundwork, there's always a possibility of having more than one Dr. Doom. You bought up a good point about Majors, maybe Kang will be erased from the next Marvel phases? There can be a recast for Kang also, but who knows? I'm excited for the Brave New world film, Fantastic Four (Throwback) and next Avengers films.
They don’t say that he is going to be Victor Von Dam. They say that to introduce von doom. We need someone first to play Doctor Doom. My theory is that this will be the doctor doing from exiles comics in 2003 where the variant Tony Stark becomes doom instead of Iron Man. Then the MCU version of doom can fight the Tony Stark doom.
I honestly don't think Deadpool and wolverine being this successful was a surprise. Every Deadpool movie are like one of the most successful r rated movies of all time, the movie had massive hype behind it and Ryan Reynolds being a master of marketing, It is suppose to be a big project for the mcu and wolverine is coming back, and every metric predicted that it would be extremely successful. It had like one of the most watched trailers of all time and most watched trailer in 24 hours or something. The pre box office projections were already massive. I think most people thought this movie was going to make at least a billion dollars in the box office.
This is clearly a desperate move to bring people back and make money again, the easy way. Which reveals that they didn't learn their lesson as to why most projects after Endgame failed. Could the story work? Sure, but you can't have RDJ play the definitive version of Doom, especially for years to come, because he is Iron Man, nothing will change that. It's a weird choice story-wise.
Most mcu projects after endgame did not fail. The flops the mcu had is incredible hulk box office in phase 1,eternals in phase 4 and ant-man 3 and the marvels in phase 5. Eternals came out doing covid and not playing in china. Black widow flopped on the big screen and it came out when covid was happening and not shown in china as well but made up for it on disney plus so the movies overall did not flop. Ant-man 3 made is money back and the marvels and eternals was watch alot on disney plus.The mcu will make it's money back for marvels this year or has done so already. The marvels came out doing a strike by the way so they could not do more marketing before the movie came out.
Phase 4 was never going to make has much money on average has phase 3. Here are some reasons. It's almost really starting over phase,there are alot new heroes,new story arc set-up,plus china was out of the picture for awhile and it box-office needs to be build back up and there is russia out the picture now and viewer habits change because of covid. Superhero tv shows these days no matter good will not get the audience like they have in the past plus disney mcu shows have done better on average then the competition and overall are doing good enough plus they will never the get audience like the movies,now over time more folks will go back to watch those shows for those who have not watch,most,some etc..

If we talking about cinemascore for the movies most in phase 4 are in A'S so the consensus is phase 4 was a hit and those who say it was not are a loud mouth minority on internet. Now phase 5 so far is the weakest phase but it's not over yet and still there is good projects in phase 5.By the way phase 4 made the most money after phase 3 but it looks like phase 5 may make the least amount of money but like i said it's not over yet.

I think RDJ being Doom is awful. There were other actors they could have reused who would play Doom better, including Tom Hiddleston, Lee Pace, and Mads Mikkelsen. They could have cast a lot of people before RDJ. They chickened out, and now the Russos and RDJ will balloon the budget and that money won't be spent on making the movie better, just making the three of those guys richer.
