Re-conditioning a hydrophobic garden bed // Is this why my tomato plants are looking rough?

HI friends. Join me this morning while I try and revive this suspected hydrophobic bed! Basically, I am taking off the mulch, applying a wetting agent mixed with water (a lot, I used 3 watering cans in each section) and then re-applying the mulch.

Is that a Birdies bed that you're using for water catchment? How is it set up?

Hi Debbie. Not it's an actual water tank. Quite small - maybe 1000 litres. It is filled from our house roof. We want to get some more larger ones to make use of more water as we do get large downpours in our area.
