A- for Jabari is fair. Dude is so underrated due to Paolo and Chet but he also very good and gonna be a 15+ yr player in the NBA.

as a spurs fan, jeremy sochan is at the very least a B or even a B+ while his stats dont look amazing, that’s exactly how it looked going into the draft. he’s never been a stat stuffer in baylor and he still isn’t now. however, hit FT% going up, and his 3pt shooting is MUCH better compared to his rookie season. sochan was awful as a scorer pre-draft and his jump into a solid 5th scoring option is pretty good. also, the PG experiment goes over a lot of people’s heads. it has helped tremendously, actually. his TO% has gone down, his playmaking is a lot more polished, and his handle is a bit more secure. his passing vision has also expanded a bit because he used to just be a post-playmaker, getting guys on cuts or on the perimeter, but now his passing options has broadened. people expected him to become a poor-man’s ben simmons type player, but he was never going to be that. PG was sochan’s worst position and putting him there was meant to fix another big flaw in his game (where his rookie season they fixed his shooting form flaw). and his defense has been the best this for him both seasons. he’s taking some of the bigger defensive assignments and holding his own, like holding lebron to 4/20 FG

It’s annoying how other spurs fans claim Wemby has no help. Like brother, they’re doing worse with the same roster as last year lol, stop blaming it all on the roster which last year was described as “some good young talent”. (Agree about your Sochan analysis btw)

its A- on jeremy sochan, his 3ball improved a lot. the pg experiment looked bad for his name but his game improved with it. sochan’s defense also is being overlooked. he is the 2nd best defender of the team next to wemby

Keegan Murray improved a lot this year. Even though his 3pt shooting is down, he became an elite defender and became a much more versatile player on offense. This year instead of just taking catch and shoot 3s, he’s driving to the rim a lot more and also developed a midrange shot.

So the reason for Ousman Dieng being drafted at 11 is because other teams were trying to draft JDub and were trying to trade up, like the Cavs, as the Knicks were trying to trade for Donovan Mitchell, and wanted more draft picks to help the trade, which is why OKC was willing to give 3 picks to the Knicks. They didn’t want to use NY’s pick to draft JDub incase something went wrong with the trade, they wanted to make sure they got Jalen Williams with their own pick. That’s why they didn’t give up the 12th pick to NY, and used future picks instead. It’s not just that Presti drafted JDub, it’s how.

As a rockets fan Jabari ceiling is a 20/10 guy who could make an all star or two. His shooting is pretty good and his defense has been mostly good he needs to add some strength to handle the bigger guys in the league. His game is like Miami Chris Bosh and Rashard Lewis. At best is floor is an elite role player who averages like 14-18 ppg a year and that’s perfectly fine either way as long as we develop Jabari correctly compared to his first year. He going to have a 10 plus career in the NBA

I think you're harsh with LaRavia. He's had some injury problems but has better as of late. If you exclude a cold shooting night against Charlotte, he's played well in 8 of his last nine games: averaging 14.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.6 blocks. Still hasn't been very efficient but definitely showing signs of being a solid player

Jabari is good and underrated but I’m hoping he becomes more a shot creator. He’s got a couple real solid go-to moves but needs more to be an All-Star. Defense and rebounding have been fuckin nice

As rockets fan he is my favorite player on the team A- is really the right grade for him I am really proud of the big turnaround he had from having a bad coach he wouldn’t utilize him to making him constantly sit in a corner and do nothing was constantly hurting his development it was so important bringing in ime he has tremendously helped Jabari grow a really good rim protector and a reliable perimeter defender being able to constantly switch and his mid range is just a thing of beauty his shooting percentage has gone up and his confidence has grown nobody is gonna pay attention to because of his stats but at a number 4 option he has done really well at his role and is only gonna get better the thing I can say that he needs to work on is being better at creating his he has improved at that aspect but needs more work needs to be a better screen pick and popper and needs to put on some more muscle

@@user-zm9uu6bc2p there's so many ways Paolo can get better, with jdub its hard to see how he gets that much better, again I said he's about to be 24 and Paolo turned 21 this season I'm fairly sure. Either way one has 2 more years of development and experience Paolo still hasn't had the chance to grow into his body and could still grow a couple inches of he's lucky, a 6'10 sf vs a 6'5 sf one has the obviously higher ceiling objectively

Incredibly, I think stating that Paolo "was not a lock" to go #1 is actually understating it. Everybody thought Jabari was going to go number 1, even seemingly Paolo and Jabari. Paolo was seen in Houston multiple times coming up to the draft having dinner with Fertitta and working at Rockets facility, and was probably touring the city in preparation. I hesitate to attribute anything to facial reaction given how subjective it is, but to my eyes Jabari looked both surprised and most of all very disappointed to be going third on the night they called his name.

As a wizards fan I don't know how Johnny Davis ended up being this bad. If you watch his Wisconsin highlights you'd think he would be at least a mediocre player in the league and I thought it was a good pick at the time but he is soooooo bad, truly the rock bottom of the wizards draft history (hopefully)!

Its splitting hairs but I think the Sochan pick is at least a B+ the only picks clearly better thus far are J Dub and maybe Duren. He’s a passable 3point shooter. Not great not awful its just the form that looks bad. And i mean c’mon just held Luka to his career high in missed shots with 6/27 game

For Sochan a B- seems like it's in the right realm, as a point of attack defender he's already very, very good, and he's improved his shot, still pretty unwilling to take open shots sometimes unfortunately; if the Spurs can put more spacing, specifically at the 1, around him and Vic then I think he'll really get to shine, he has definitely improved almost everywhere and could be higher than a B-, but without the for sure results it'd be a reach to have him too much higher.

@@morijin8792 whatever dude just look at the stats. Paolo is just not that great- I mean he’s fine, like #55 in the league, but Holmgren is like #24. That’s numbers, but I actually saw him play- and he completely disappeared in the second half of the Knicks game… that was without OG Anunoby on the court too. He just looks underwhelming to me.
