RE in Space - Martian Gothic: Unification - First Playthrough 

I've investigated a shitload of backround stuff about this game. First of all, this started development back in '94-'95, and was supposed to be point-n-click type of game, until first RE came out and the devs decided to shift focus into that type of game. This game was written by Stephen Marley, a british sci-fi writer. The voice actor of Karne is actually a white dude, because they couldn't get black guy to do voice acting. Matlock's voice actress is sort of politician nowadays, who has rallied against videogames, quite ironic.

I enjoyed your playthrough of this Bawk. I love this game, I had it when i was much younger on the PC in the ealy 2000's, Still got my original copy too. Always painful to watch people struggle when you know what to do though. The controls really are infuriating too.

I remember my step dad and I took about 8 months to complete this game (a week out of a month because he was a truck driver) but yeah good times. Game was weird but good bonding time.

Bawk, you gotta check out Signalis! Looks like a blend of sci-fi anime, Silent Hill and RE with an awesome atmosphere. No release date yet but from the trailers, it looks right up your alley.

Every now and then when I was a kid my mum would give me £10 to buy a game from blockbuster. With £10 My choices were limited but I remember getting this. I didn’t get very far cause my 10 year old brain didn’t get how to play lol. I also got Necronomicon: The Dawning of Darkness which is another creepy ps1 game, a first person point and click puzzle game.

Also "Stay Alone, Stay Alive" is very important because you cannot have your characters within certain range of each other.

Revisiting this classic a year later. What can I say? I like oily rag.

Only time I tried playing this game was on disc around 2013 and in the bathroom area and black shadow figure appeared in one of the stalls. It was a glitch that made a enemy character model black out and be completely locked in place but it freaked me out so much.

isn’t it crazy looking at these character models knowing that a year later re remake would come out with those beautiful character graphics what a huge step 2001 to 2002-3 was for gaming but also shows how far ahead of its time re remake was

I can't believe nobody realized at any point during development that the game is a tab bit overloaded with puzzles and items.

Surprised not many people know about this game. Pretty sure Carcey did a playthrough of this, not 100% sure but I think it's where I first saw it. Good game.

6:21:00 Inside emulator folder there are save states files and near save file there is file that called almost the same but has prefix .bak at the end, so you can revert last save. It doesn't work for every emulator but common does backup saves before overwite.

God I had this shit on PS1, It was a right mission my mother eventually finished it but i could not be arsed.

SOTS The Pit. Like this, but with one character, and a roguelike. Has a Fan Mod overhaul. Pretty baller.

My mate had this back in the day, picked it up for like 5 dollars from a Blockbuster sale to get rid of shit. I recall it being scary back in the day, but we never got anywhere, and fuck it was hard.

Honestly bawk you made this game way more difficult than it had to be by refusing to read and not examining most of your items. Other than missing lore you missed critical hints and direction of gameplay by not reading. You can’t brute force your way through every game like RE. I understand it’s twitch and that you don’t want to sit there reading but some earlier games are designed to actually require reading to progress. It pains me to see someone guessing their way through a game instead of logically figuring things out. Sometimes you’re so ready to rush through a game you have to take your time and think and enjoy.

Man I love this game - it sounds like it didn't go well for you, but the concept and things it does are so cool. If this game got a proper remake and polish it would absolutely rock.

How in God's name you launched it? On my my Win8.1 with Wun95 compatibility it has less than 10 fps and it takes almost 90 seconds to open the menu.
