something i forgot to show last video, just wanted to bring attention to this cool easter egg there is a standalone version available here: • EASTER EGG: Snow On Mt...
...huh. I kinda find this neat.. but now I'm curious what they would do if they keep doing this. Gen 2 actually has some really good creepy pasta stories, so maybe someday they could play along with this idea, almost like a dangling carrot
I liked that the Sprites of the Pokémon at the beginning are in a cold blue tone to simulate that they are frozen and when those of your team die their changes are not so exaggerated and they play more with the limitations of the Game boy color, that including the celebi and the network equipment, which makes me more terrifying. Especially celebi that seems to me the most terrifying for looking a bit bugged
woohoo no jumpscares now i dont have to cover my nonexistent eyes out of fear but without the celebi jumpscare the game feels so weird like you just teleport to the mountain somehow
Sorry the new sprites arent doing it for me. Something about the original pokemon sprites being all mauled and all, gave it that feeling of something else being in the mountain that did it more terrifying. It leaves you wondering, if it really was the cold, also no music? Just silence? I get that gives it more of suspense, but if they added at least some sort of blizzard track accompanied with the silence, it would have worked.
Most of the sprites here were actually better honestly. It makes no realistic sense for Gold’s Pokémon to have their limbs torn off and such, just because of strong wind (It only makes sense for Red’s Pokémon because they were out in the cold much longer and so could have plausibly deteriorated overtime). So them simply looking frost bitten and soulless is pretty good. Red’s Pokémon designs are more subjective on what you think looks better, but I’ll go with the remake because the gore on the sprites looks more detailed and the creepiness isn’t as exaggerated.
i've heard it's separate from lost silver, and i picked up that blake is on mount silver to save red or something, but then he dies himself, not really sure
Blakes Pokémon look genuinely Frostbitten, I assume Reds are more bloody due to the fact he’s been on the mountain longer, so his Pokémon look more messed up
But Gold/Ethan reappeared in a pokemon game for the 3ds! How did he get left to rot???(unless it came out after 2010 since that's when lost silver was discovered)
Probably because it already took so much effort to get up the mountain and the amount of preparation too (Even if he comedically forgot to bring a damn coat).
I enjoy the fact that it doesn’t have the jumpscares, but I do like the original sprites better. I watched the original snow on mt silver as a younger kid and the original pikachu really screwed with me. I do however like the fact that you can spell “snow” with the unown to get there too, it’s clever and it gives it a small reason to be separated from the main game
@@Turbulation1 but its in the same game+ with the new hypno lullaby v2 the lore for lost silver aka gold is the same as blake lore,so this makes it even more confusing, and now people that didnt know about the creepypasta before will think that mt silver lore is the actual lore for the death of gold
@@Anth0ny_R3aL The reason why it's in the same game is because it's just a side project Reidd Maxwell worked on when creating Re: Lost Silver because he thought that it would be very easy to recreate, he never intended for it to be truly connected to the game, just some cool bonus content. The best thing to do, is to just separate the FNF lore and the original creepypasta's lore, so it streamlines and doesn't overcomplicate things. If people continue to get them mixed up, Reidd could simply just confirm that they are both separate. I personally prefer to only care about the original creepypasta and what it offers.
Meh, i prefer the other version, this isn't convencing since doesn't even have the pokemon cries when you select them and kinda kicks you out of the atmosphere
Sound implementation was a last minute thing for the game and Lost Silver, so it’s understandable why cries are absent. The demo was rushed out the door at first. But the creator has now been making patches and may start to fix the issues with Mt Silver soon.
Now, go on and hate me for this, but i actually like the gory sprites from the old snowsilver, espeon looks waaaay weirder with their ears, charizard looks the same, blastoise too, red as in dead red looks waaay different, pikachu's face looks weird, all in all, i dont think the new sprites arent that good.
@@mr.exeggutor7780 I’m looking at it from a reality stand point, they really aren’t too good for horror. Meanwhile I could say “Wow man, you’re so *cool* for being a contrarian in this time and age!”
