I tried playing this recently. I made it to the same place the TAS makes it to in 10 minutes. It took me somewhere between 4 and 5 hours to get that far. With savestates. And I hadn't even made it to the parts that make this hack "tas only". It's such a beast.
wow that means you collected Grapple Beam :) it was very good though! Maybe you should try Kaizo Possible, it can be beaten in real time play :D (oatsgoat did many times!)
@@garan1988 Back in the days I remember I went further with savestates only, grapple was hell but doable, I mat have had to use slowdown too, can't remember, the wall for me was the diagonal spike-stairs to reach back again to landing site, no skill for several diagonal bjs.
Can you imagine Samus in her mind be like: Oh, a room with a loat of spikes, why am i still here? I mean, a can cross this even with my eyes closed, but, why?

If I have to guess, the copyright claim came from some random people from Australia? They seem to strike a lot of gameplay vids that have video game music.
@@garan1988 I don't know if it's that exact band, but I know of some band that iirc used the lower norfair music ripped straight out of the game, and that's why it gets false flagged. No idea why Nintendo hasn't ripped them a new one yet... Edit: I fact checked it: It's most of the time from the Label Soulspazm and the song Vast Aire - The Cannon of Samus casually has the entire menu theme from Super Metroid in it.
yeah it's TAS only. the furthest anyone has ever gotten was the second save state. the one before bombs. the person theorized it is possible to get it but not feasable to get back
@@CaptRiskyBoots there are 2 parts of the video has a song named "kamikazi" by someone I forgot his name! that song is similar to Maridia theme song :/
I am kinda sad that Hoandizi chose to take the glitched missile upgrade to get missiles together instead of getting 20 of the 21 missile packs in game. In hindsight I do kinda wonder, was that missile pack being there a complete accident? Since you need 20 packs and there are 21 in the hack there is a reasonable chance that there was a mistake made at some point. Another thing that annoyed me: X-Ray climbing to power bombs... Also skipping the acid dive after ridley. The glitched missile pack broke so much...
that Missile pack was an accident.. (and Lioran fixed in Kaizo possible!) more thing would be showed up without that glitch :)) anyway, a Taser should use up anything that would beat the game faster!
