This is another reason I love Re:Zero so much. The dialogue can be causal or serious, with many situations and contexts available, and it will still be written so good, you will remember a lot of it later on. I can't wait for you to see a lot more of it with season 2 and the (currently in production) season 3.
@@BenStro yeah but if i remember correctly it's said that she tecognized Emilia when she was wearing it too during Subaru and Emilias "date", and for Subaru to tell the kids that, he had to tell them without wearing the hood, you know, so they could recognize him, also she was the only one who saw him in that scene. Again this might be my bad memory or some shit.
The fact that the hood Subaru wearing prevent everyone to recognize the person who's wearing it. But, Petra knows/saw it's Subaru... is suspicious. In ep 15 too, Witch Cultists took her eyes out... Something gotta be in her eyes LOL
Subaru told the kids about his plan and the cloak hides you from those you choose. Which is why Subaru is able to tell who Emilia is when she wears it but others don't.
Betty left the mansion that one time because she was contracted to protect Subaru, who left the mansion. Idk how conflicting contracts are resolved for spirits in this world but since that contract doesn’t exist in this timeline she definitely can’t leave now
@@Miikasaeremember that contracts are not about specific wording but both parties' interpretation of whether they're broken or not. Beatrice's contract isn't just to stay in the library since it has an end goal remember, you can link her trying to fulfill it with leaving to help in several ways which support her actions in season 2. Tldr Betty can leave whenever she wants especially if it's part of that main contract, which doesn't exactly tell her to stay (she absolutely isn't free as a result though).
I like how Julius introduced himself as Julius, Knight of Lagunica, instead of as Jules the Wandering Traveler Who Just Happened To Be There Because A Knight Assisting Mercenaries Would Be Shameful. He really sees directly facing an archbishop of the Witch's cult with Subaru's help to be worth the cost to his honor that he perceived in the previous timeline
So much more about to Emila in the ova/short-film and next season... and also a lot on other characters too and so they all feel far more grounded afterwards.
One detail from the novels that is unfortunately left out, due to the very nature of an anime adaptation not having written descriptions of scenarios and actions, is that every chase scene is only possible because Patrasche is such an incredible dragon. It's said multiple times that since Subaru has never mounted a dragon, he has no idea how to guide it, so Patrasche is the one constantly making the decisions to dodge and change directions without Subaru doing anything, and he's thankful for that every time. Patrasche is best girl.
Btw its not explicitly stated the time in the anime but the first loops of the season were in 1 day(this is arc 1/episode 1-3) Then arc 2(episodes 4-11) were over the course of a week but Subaru was unconscious between arc 1 and 2 for a few days and Emilia took care of him during that time. Then arc 3 is episodes 12-25 of season 1 and also episode 1 of season 2. And before arc 3 Subaru actually spent more than a month in the mansion so there was a timeskip between episode 11 and 12.
38:30 There is a connection you guys aren't making that can answer your confusion: think about how Betelgeuse reads and follows his gospel so diligently, now think about how he doesn't know about Subaru, he only can see the Witcht's scent on him so he assumes Subaru is the Archbishop of Pride because the scent is more potent than any regular member of the cult and Pride is the only sin Archbishop who is currently unknown, BUT the gospel doesn't mention him at all, Betelgeuse even starts going crazy and questioning him the first time he looks about it, as if the Gospel should have information about Subaru if he had a connection to Satella. So this would hint that whatever Satella wants Subaru for, it isn't related at all to the witch cult, otherwise the Gospel should talk about him if it is the so-called ''Guide of the Witch''. On the other side, you talk about how Satella killed Emilia that one time Subaru tried to talk about Return by Dead, this would go against the Ordeal of ''Test Emilia to see if she is a viable vessel for the Witch'', but there is something even more conflicting about the Ordeal: Beatrice told us before that Satella cannot die, her flesh cannot be destroyed and she could only be Sealed by a sage, a hero and the Dragon Volcanica. So if Satella is sealed and her body is intact, there is no way that the cult would be able to put her soul on Emilia, their main objective should be to unseal Satella, not find a ''suitable vessel''. Even then, Satella, who is supposed to be sealed ( because otherwise, she would have destroyed the rest of the world a long time ago) appears at Subaru's side each time he wants and apparently even has the power to instantly kill whoever she wants, stop and rewind the time without a limit, etc. and yet, the cult doesn't have a clue about any of that, this should reaffirm that Satella's goal, whatever it is, is unknown to the Witch cult and they have completely different objectives.
Dude you don't have to explain EVERYTHING. Let people figure shit out on their own, don't take that away from them. I don't care if a lot of it has already been mentioned, it has in no way been properly explained yet and some things you're saying are not even straightforwardly said in this season but in season 2. This is a borderline a spoiler. I would even call it a soft spoiler. The fun of a mystery box type story is figuring things out on your own as more and more information is slowly given. And that takes time for people. They won't just hear a new piece of information and connect all the dots right away (some people may, but that's not the usual). People have to ponder the information for a while and contrast it with previous knowledge until they get it all. And that may take from a few minutes for some to maybe even months for others. Thank goodness I think they don't read the comments, precisely to avoid things like this.
@@CibantiTo be fair, most of that stuff isn’t even mentioned in s2 because it was all cut. I’m sure looking forward to how needlessly confusing the anime will get going forward because of this.
@@Cibanti I’d say adding some context that the anime will never be able to provide due to all the weird cuts and the way the novels’ story is structured is better than just being confused about stuff that wasn’t supposed to be confusing in the first place. Not like they’re gonna know anyways since they aren’t reading the comments for now.
@@sasy11110 Nah. All this person's said is something the show gives enough hints and clues through the 2 seasons that exist for you to piece it together (probably more clues than the ones in the anime are given in the source material and maybe some of them are even further explained by this point in the story, but still the anime has thrown enough for what is happening currently on the screen). But most people would probably need all the information of both seasons. You can't just explain it all right after they've watched the last episode of the first season. Let people think on their own, don't take them for stupid.
the thought that Tappei is so organised is such a perfect view of him for me. because it's not just how they're acting at points, it's where they are and what theyre doing For instance, the only reason that Otto was captured by the Witch Cult was because Subaru set the parameters to pre-empt things and keep the White Whale being a secret, Otto was in the caravan of travelling merchants that Julius and his team diverted so no one on the highway would be interrupted at the Flugel tree and Otto - being down on his luck with little money - chose to go to the Mathers region and was intercepted by Petelgeuse. And that's just one character, there's tons more. For Ram to be out in the forest to notice the actions of Subaru meant that she was on patrol out there and was likely out there due to how tired Rem was and her feelings for that at the time. It's rare to see a time loop story done this well
5:57 Of course Ram knew it was Subaru wearing that. She's the one who brought the vest in the first place, remember? She was wearing it during the illusion thing.
For anyone doesn't know what "Tora Tora Tora" is, Tora means Tiger in Japanese. But tora tora tora used to be a code to present Pearl harbor sneak attack has sucessed.
