@@tmlarkynado7604 Oh certainly! Emilia and Subaru's designs are almost complete inversions of each other. Subaru has short, black, hair that goes upward, while Emilia has long, white, hair that goes downward. As you said, Subaru wears black and orange, while Emilia wears white and purple. Their designs compliment each other so well, because they're the complete opposites of each other.

One of the archbishops of gluttony, Louis Arneb, got their memery erased or something and in arc 8, Subaru believed she was and could be a new person and named her Spica. Some people, however, are upset since archbishops are pure evil and caused harm. This was addressed on the story, obviously, but its still controversial.

​@@acousticco it was very hard to notice that at first but Subaru is indeed someone people can revere to as a "saviour" more than a hero or maybe like you described it a " Messiah figure" At the beginning Subaru " forgiving" nature was shown to everyone, especially at season one when he forgave Rem and Ram, but what I like here is that tappei didn't paint Subaru as this overly good guy because under the excuse that this is he's nature or something, but rather one of the biggest factors that plays into this was Subaru low self-esteem and he's hatred twords himself, Subaru doesn't see himself equal to Rem and Ram, he thinks of them as far superior to he's weak self For him, the one who should be blamed shall be him simply because they lived their life just fine before he invaded their lives plus he acted suspicious around them so they will defend their home right? This is not the thought of a very pure hearted guy but rather a conclusion that you can't reach unless you have zero consideration for your wellbeing What I love after this is that RBD started to show Subaru the black and white in people and that in reality only few people can truly be called unredeemable, Subaru saw hope, a hope to guide and help these people basically Saving them heart and soul, this way of thinking is he's driving force and the one he relies on, even now in the latest arc it didn't waver in fact it becomes stronger Everyone Subaru met changed for the better and found their purpose or maybe reached it, Rem was saved, Emilia was guided, Garfiel was freed from he's fear, Frederica is now with her brother and he helps them to get along in the SS too, Otto has a new friend and a new purpose heck even rosewaal rever to Subaru as he's " hope" while puck described Subaru as a " poisonous hope" so sweet but it can kill you, and the worst part? You just can't get enough of it Subaru being revered as " hope" or being seen as one is an opinion many people share of him, Subaru gives chances even for the sinners, if he loved you then he will always protect you and all what you need to do to get he's love is to believe in him and love him back, even if that's love wasn't that deep as long as it's there then he will do the impossible to save you However Subaru is a human, and thus he can't save everything, the world re-writes itself many times and he's forced to just sit there and watch, he knows what other people don't, and thus he keeps it a secret of them because even if they did Know they won't understand, the corruption of RBD that caused him to have such a mentality plus he's heart and problem that belongs to a human is just one if the best if not the best conflict in the story for me

The difference is that Emilia is accepting of it and isn't terribly negatively affected by it when Subaru was literally brought to that world not by his own will, and given the power to return by death and remember every ounce of pain and struggle through the process of his progression. Sure they're both doing it to "save" certain people but Subaru is purely trying to keep them all alive and doesn't wish any harm upon them. They would've literally all died so many times if Subaru wasn't there so he sees it as he HAS to protect them. If you were about to be shot by a mugger and someone comes and saves you would you be angry and yell at them because you didn't ask them to? Bad argument

@@y9000-m9m so the sage Flugal (my have just misspelled his name) is said to be the head of the church and the witch cult there purpose was to protect the elves. This was mentioned in an Q n A by Tapi. In arc 6 the current sage Sharla is the daughter of Flugal and identified Subaru as her father and master as she has to obey her mother and father her masters.

Of course they wouldn't show Flugal's face yet they've been hiding it for some reason, they released tarot cards with re:Zreo characters and locations on them including Flugal from behind all we got to see was his black spiky hair like Subaru. Also If I remember correctly in the web novel Sharla tells Subaru that he is her father but he doesn't believe her and denies it because to him he couldn't possibly be her father. In arc 7 it's revealed Sattela is sealed inside of Subaru's soul when it's weaked and her shadows come out he can also control them though he was not in full control and destroyed a city. The only way the witch could be sealed inside of Subaru is if he was around 400 years ago as Flugal. And I know Sharla was made with Gluttony's Authority with Flugal's influence somehow(has not been revealed how yet) so not really a by blood daughter.
