Reach Your Crochet Goals By Year-End 

Yes, this month has been super busy so crochet has taken a back seat. I'm not sure when I'll get back on track.

Hi Shannon! I feel like this year I have been more on track with my goals I’ve set this year than past years. Writing them down definitely helps me. Unless it’s projects I “want” to make/design, then it stresses me out. Makes me feel like I have to do everything right then and there. I like setting crochet goals. It's fun & motivating. Especially since I have to schedule my time to craft.

I’ve reached some of my goals, but not all. I had a few things I wanted to make until I realized it’s probably not a good idea to take on more complicated projects in the middle of getting ready to move across the country lol 😄… but the year isn’t over yet, I still might reach my goals 😁

I'm starting a big granny square project for one of my grandparents that is due by xmas. I am not a fan of granny squares, so it is a real challenge for me. I also am working on expanding my wearable skills.❤

One of my big goals is to do my crochet dress. I was originally going to make it in Coral and Teal but coral yarn I have is too much on the orange side so I am going to make it pink and teal. Like a dark pink.

I made a goal to challenge myself by making a “Sophie’s Universe” blanket. I’m halfway through and enjoying it. I take breaks from it and make small fun projects. They give me the joy of finishing something and help me not get bogged down. Thanks for another great video.

I've known for 7 months that our son was returning after 8 yrs overseas. It's now 15 sleeps before he arrives! He'll be staying with us briefly to rest and find his new direction. Trouble is, the guest room has become the dumping ground for miscellaneous supplies. Did I pace myself throughtout the year and get small sections done? No. Did l leave it all to the last minute? Yes, yes I did. Am I now desperately trying to clean up and clear out? Yes, yes I am. Sigh...

I thought I was going to make all the clothes. Only making clothes is hard. So amigurumi then. And now I am trying decorative useful pieces and will try clothes again since I have been crocheting for a year or so.

Yep its that time of year that I wonder what ive been doing with my life lol. Im being nice to myself about it since I got married in that time, but its hard to remember the other things you had going on when you're looking at your finished objects and wondering why there aren't more. Even so, I realized I've made 4 sweaters already and thats nuts, so clearly I've done more than I feel like I have. Im about to jump into sewing mode and make myself a bunch of clothes, but I have a few gifts I need to finish as well. Always something to do!
