you can feel the tension buzzing between those two in just a single scene. they couldn't have chosen a better cast for this show, everybody's performance is great, with Alan shining the brightest
Alan Ritchson is a really good actor. He is conveying so much with subtle facial expressions. In this season he has to show a bit of wistfulness and even self doubt about his life choice to be a hobo, when he is with Dixon. I can’t wait for the next few episodes.
@@DEVINdevdev Hey, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I actually found the first three episodes pretty solid. For me, Alan Ritchson's portrayal adds depth to Reacher's character, and the pacing felt just right, letting the story breathe. Also, the cinematography and action scenes had this cool intensity that kept me hooked. Totally get that different people have different opinions, though! What specifically didn't resonate with you in those episodes?
@@unknown3158 Not if you've read the books. They know that a good 50% of the viewers have read all the books, that's why they are keeping to the stories almost verbatim. I do like the little added extras though, like saving the dog in S1 and the flashbacks so far in S2, the way Reacher goes "shopping" and the opening scene dealing with the carjacker. Presume Lee Child is heavily involved with the script and screenplay?
I just love how close-knit the squad was, that they'd not even hesitate to find out who killed their friends and make them pay. The fact that Karla had murder and vengeance in her eyes when she heard of her friends' deaths, is great bloody acting by Serinda.
He already has a suit from his time as Smallville's Aquaman... and Serinda has the top hat and fishnet stockings from the short time that she was Zatanna on Smallville too.
Its fun watching old Smallville peeps pop up on Reacher now. I wonder how much of that is random, and how much is Alan reconnecting with industry pals. I've been waiting for awhile for someone to realize how absurdly gorgeous Zatanna Zatara was and cast Serena Swan in something new.
little disappointed that your not able to binge watch all 8 episodes - they decided to stagger them - I get why - but I'll just need to be more patient - Love the concept - 8 episodes per book - looking forward to watching them all
Great show it moves right along. Great action scenes and he's one of the few super heroes given his size and strength can make all the fights believable. He gets beat up and cut alot which makes it even more believable. Only thing not believable is Reacher not taking her out for a "drink" lol.
very pre Roscoe, and she much later knows hes a rambler, not a saint and didn't promise abstinence while he roams this dirty spinny rock... but I do agree... Roscoe was even cuter when pissed.
Everything Reacher says sounds the same, rhythm, tone, almost identical volume. That's fine. He has a job to do. Nothing more, nothing less. Nothing his brother wouldn't do under the circumstances.
Roscoe had NO IDEA of what walked into Margrave, which added to the tension... she had to figure out whether to trust him, fear him, et cetera. To Karla, he is a known quantity... one she was wanted for years. Just a diff dynamic as one has history and the other was blindsided. He and Roscoe were great together though.
Lee Child had the opportunity to showcase Reacher in his younger years, Alan has the youth and muscle mass to play late 20's, early 30's Army Reacher. We already know the stories in the books, we can Visualize ourselves there with Reacher. Fully fleshing out Reachers army days was a missed opportunity from Child and Paramount.
Reacher, 'You sure about this?' Dixon, 'I've been sure for 15 years' 'Me too. But it has to stay a secret.' 'Agreed.' He took her in his arms and kissed her mouth. 🤔
I absolutely hate when Hollywood gets into the military without having a consultant. How easy it would be to find someone to make it accurate never, but never ceases to amaze me. "You don't mess with the special investigators" is the most POG shit I've ever heard in my life.
Can someone help me explain how she just shows up waiting in line in, to rent a car, in front of Reacher? Was it a coincidence or did she know that the group would be there?
It’s driving me nuts how nobody is talking about this. Just the most absurd coincidence ever and we’re just supposed to accept it? I was so confused watching this the first time that I literally thought I had missed a scene or something.
@@MikeR-bh9cg How did O'Donnell know where they're were staying and room #? At least we heard that Dixon works Undercover, maybe Reacher keeps in touch.
Neagley called everyone and sent a signal to Reacher via ATM..she stated that at the diner. I just re-watched the episodes. Maybe they called back and set a plan or Neagley found her information from undercover assignment.
@@sharonwaller6673Please don't judge too soon. If you ever read the books, Dixon was part of Reacher's special investigators group. She is one of the good guys.
Bro i loved Season 2. But you guys can definitely put more effort into making the 1v1 hand to hand combats look a little more real . The very first scene whete he throws punches ay the carjacker. Clear as day he didnt even touch the guy when the window broke . Nothing connected. and the guy STEPPED out of the car. Wasnt dragged out
Right. I literally was just thinking they should have let the tension and hype build up. At least until we could feel and believe their connection. I still don’t feel their sexual / physical connection. 🤷🏾♀️
@@werewolfroadI’m thinking it could either be her or Neely. Reacher doesn’t strike me as somebody that gets attached to somebody after hooking up with them, hence why he left Roscoe in season 1. He has a much stronger attachment to Neely than anyone else I’d say, he prioritizes friendships over intimate relationships.
I do NOT want Reacher chasing me! I do NOTwant the undercover cop chasing me, even less! I have what I refer to as; the Lenny Brisco scale, as in how badly I do NOT want this guy chasing me! Lenny Brisco (Law & Order) is a TEN! he may not get you today, probably not tomorrow, but you can BET he is not EVER giving up, YOU ARE GOING TO GET GOT! Reacher, and his CID team, are moving up the scale with every show!
