6:00 "Can this game get any more anime?" Yes, it's called the Japanese release of Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere. It literally has anime cutscenes.

A space elevator is a big ass cable that reaches into the atmosphere and is pulled straight by the force of earths rotation. You can then send things up the elevator, which sounds weird until you realize that the most power a rocket uses is in getting of the ground so you can essentially ditch 90% of a rockets propellant and save millions of dollars by firing rockets regardless of weather.

@@Proftrof whoever controlls it can launch satelites, spaceshuttles or ICBMs at a fraction of the cost. You can email nukes without having to construct half the rocket.

@@Proftrof Before SpaceX, it costed some 20 thousands dollars to send one kilogram to space. After SpaceX, it costs some 3 thousands to send a kilo to space. With a space elevator the cost would be even lower. Not only that, instead of rocket fuel, you would presumably only need to use electricity, produced by a nuclear plant, so it would be super safe (no more explosive accidents). Also, you would be able to send stuff regardless of weather, all the time. So it's a pretty big deal, whatever nation controls the space elevator basically controls earth's space, by sheer volume of all the satellites they can send. Not to mention economics, every other nation would have to pay you to send stuff to space, since using rockets would be a complete waste of money

@@Proftrof even if you discount the space elevator itself, it has a drone manufactoring centre and is being used to build solar satalites to basically take a sledgehammer to all other power generation's privates.

It's finally here! Two things: Yes, it is fun and it is on PC. And the Space Elevator in the game is used as a "Symbol of Peace" from the previous war in the lore and used to fight energy concerns mentioned somewhat in the lore.

He skipped the penultimate mission of this game where you do literal war crimes on Tyler1 Island A space elevator is literally that, it's a theoretical structure right now because we don't know of any material that can handle that much pressure, but the idea is that there's a tether between the Earth's surface and some counterweight we put waaaay up there so that the centrifugal force of the Earth's rotation keeps the tether tight. It's like how when you spin around holding a ball on a string, the string stays tight. The elevator part is where you just climb the string and by the end of it you're beyond geosynchronous orbit.

All memes aside, Ace Combat 7 is a really good looking game and fun as hell. Also the story is fucking crazy but in a good way. Also you can play Ace Combat 7 without having to play previous titles.

A space elevator is exactly what it sounds like - An elevator to space. It's a real scifi concept and something that some people are actually trying to build, because it would basically be the most efficient way possible to launch things into space. The problem, of course, is that it's really goddamn hard to build. On Earth, anyhow. We could build a space elevator on the moon with modern tech, no problem.

How much more anime this game can get? You really are new to this franchise. Well if you decide to play it then welcome to the world of Ace Combat, where realistic flight physics doesn't exist, the world is full of impossible superweapons, and you alone can save it from some bad guys (probably Belka in some way).

Yes it is on PC and yes it is a lot of fun. I think Fubuki played it on stream last year. The Ace Combat series in general is great, but most of the earlier ones are only available on playstation or xbox I think.

if Ace Combat on PSone (can't remember the number) is anything to go by - yes, it's fun. Flying is satisfying, setting is cool, story is... weird, a fuckton of real and imaginary aircraft to unlock and use. Though some of the missions were FUCKING FRUSTRATING, it was one of my favorite games back then. 21:50 oh god, the fucking canyon missions, i have flashbacks 27:30 and of course the fucking tunnels, this one has a lot in common with the one I've played

A space elevated is like you said it an elevator to space but it’s not real yet because the time it takes to get to the moon is about a week and so to get there in like a minute would be faster than either the speed of sound or light and we can’t achieve that, forgot to mention this in the beginning space elevators are meant to transport resources
