Angelina has been perfecting this song for a few years now. As with any song she keeps making it better year after year. You also have to check out her latest cover "Mount Everest" too. Currently the best overall versions (both audio and video) from the July 10th Kurbadhagen are on the Mattias Axelsson channel (IMO). ...for now, that will probably change as new, more refined footage emerges.
I totally agree with Rusty. The song was a stunner… the FIRST song, practically no one had ever heard it before, and it was very unusual… but a perfect fit for Angelina’s ever-improving voice (if that’s even possible). Definitely react to it, and be prepared to plead for more (it’s WAY too short). BTW, I love this reaction. I’m looking forward to more. 😉👍
There were so many people recording videos and taking stills. There are sure to be more high quality recordings coming, including some high fidelity audio recordings. It's a great shame that Boris Palenovski could not be there - we owe him so much for the videos he recorded over Angelina's earlier years.
@@mimosa7070 Disagree! I usually go with Rusty's recommendations. I listened a few times the videos from Mattias. Today I listened to the recordings from Vidar, thanks to Adam. The sound is much clearer, where in the recordings from Matthias the microphone is overdriven and washed out.
@@GefionMerbusch I did say "best overall" videos are on Mattias. I think the audio quality it pretty comparable (maybe Vidar edges out slightly on this), but the video is much better on Mattias. It's close-up and much clearer. I like the wide shot Vidar did, but it is a little blurry. Really both of them (and some others) did a fine job capturing the concert. I commend them both for taking the time to get it recorded, and shared with all those that couldn't be there.

She opened with this and caught everyone by surprise. Walked out, kicked off her shoes and, I guess because she herself wasn't wearing any socks, knocked the socks off everyone in the audience with this performance.
I agree, this is the best performance and video of this opening song that will blow your socks off. @Adam, This link is of the July 7th performance rather than the July 10th your reaction and list is from. IMO , it has more mystique and more conversation with the band. I like the remaining July 10th songs for the most part because it is the 3rd concert and well rehearsed by then.
The band is her old band from Norway, she played together with in 2019. Yes agree: in this song we can see every colour of Angelina. What a live performer she is... at the age of 16! And she learned/improved to communicate and interact with the audience between the songs during these 3 concerts in an astonishing way. She now is creating a vibe for every song, so the audience gets drawn in before she even starts a song. I suppose for the future she will create her own genre. Best example here: "Mount Everest" original by Labrinth... Sure, you also don't know it, (by her) because she chose this as opener first time at the Kongsberg concert. Totally new.

People from all over the world had traveled to watch Angelina at this amazing concert in Sandefjord, Norway. We really missed you there as your are the best reactor at analysing the complete performances of Angelina. You are absolutely right about her engagement with the audience. This was my fourth concert with her. At concerts before (3-4 years ago) she just introduced the songs, now she really interacted with the audience in a really confident, genuine and grateful way. And the way she worked together and controlled the band was also fantastic, this was a real seasoned musician way beyond her 16.5 year of age. Hope you continue your reactions of this concert, all of the songs were amazing, I really cannot find one song of the 18 she did that was not brilliant. Using the songlist from Vidar Enerud that you do is very good for getting the details in her amazing voice. I prefer this songlist for the quality of the sound. But it is filmed from some distance, so to get closer look at her stage performance you could probably do some reactions from the song list of Mattias Axelsson as well.
As we listen to her sing there is no doubt part of us are thinking we are listening to greatness. Millions of people are watching these video's of her Concert performances and are itching to get their opportunity to see her perform live.
This band is the band that has been playing for her since she was 8 years old while she was in Norway and then moved to LA. But you can hear how comfortable she is with them and they are very comfortable together. Such a really precious young lady, I love everything about her. Blessings from South Africa
Yes Angelina in the zone! The band she has worked with in 2018-19. She now has more confidence and just, in her usual relaxed effortless way, delivers world class vocals. This was the last of her performances in Norway for this summer, I suppose it fits into the school break... As you can see there 18 songs, leaving the heaviest to the last and still was on great form! Her interaction with the audience was so nice to experience. This was the only concert that I attended, I think it was a good choice. I spoke to the musicians after the concert they were still buzzing, they said that they would like to be able to play for her next year, but feared that she is on such a high now that they won't be able to reach her level, I'm sure that they would do just fine - perhaps more time for rehearsal. Yet sometime the rehearsal does not prepare them for the performance - when she sang Million Miles, the big belt left them stunned, and the audience too...
I listen to everything can find on her, since I saw Angelina preforming one AGT. I just can’t get enough of her!!! I believe she is the best at not only singing, but arranging her music!!! It’s also so refreshing to hear someone that uses such great pronunciation!! You can always understand what she is saying in her songs!!! She’s incredible, in at everything!! I’m si proud for her!!!💖
Hope you get the opportunity to watch the other selections in this playlist. There's a lot of Angelina interacting with the audience, and some teary moments. It had been 3 Covid years since AJ's last concerts, and there was a lot of pent up emotion. She lives to share her music and her message of caring and love. Thanks, Adam for sharing your insights.
Adam, as good as this July 10 performance was, the previous one performed July 1 was even better....a bit longer and just totally mesmerizing from start to finish.

When doing these live performances you really need to go to either Mattias Axelsson or Rusty Shackelford's (filmed by Chris Walker) versions because the audio is just the best..I really want you to listen to Mt. Everest (a Labrynth song)..it's just amazing and she does some falsettos that we heard some of here but, oh my Gawd!☺️
I think the sound quality on these videos from Vidar Enerud are as good as Mattias Axelsson. Her voice is slightly more detailed and less bass so for Adam's analysis I think they are the best. But the video is a bit more boring as they are filmed from distance.

imo this song is hands down her best performance from all of her appearances back home in norway this summer. if it is possible her voice continues to get better4 every time she sings just mind boggling.

IMO, every song she sang at this concert on the 10th were perfectly done with no blemishes. Unbelievable as it was all done live in one take. The Band also are much better than the first two shows, they didn’t over-power Angelina’s voice.
I was in this concert too, and you can think how It was delightful to be there and hear Angelina really, in front of me ! I went from France especially for see her and it was a marvellous moment ! You are excellent in your analysis and I appreciate your human beeing and the way you talk about our talented princess of jazz, and I wish you to see her in concert, it's a unique experience !

Those concerts were a mutual love letter between Angelina and her fans, some of whom came from as far away as Hawaii. Both were brought to tears during the experience and , from what some have commented, it amounted to an truly spiritual experience. It's an amazing and beautiful thing! 😎
Hi Adam. Danilo from ROME Italy again. We've already spoken, somewhat, on U TUBE about Angelina's concerts. Like I told you I would, I mentioned your name to Alan, Chris and Pontus. Now it's up to them. Anyway, you're one of my favorite AJ's reactors cause your comments are not too technicals but heartfelt and on point. I'll tell you this. We've all seen hundreds of Angelina's performances on utube and we've all used all of the superlatives the vocabulary allowed us but to see her live at close range (I was about 10 yards from her in Kongsberg) and listen to her, it's an experience that can't be explained to anyone who wasn't there. As they say, I'm at loss for words.
Absolutely agree this is my favourite performance just ahead of mount everest. this is the genre of music I would love to see on her album. I think she wore that dress for the Christmas concert minus the water wings. Great reaction.

Amazing performance! Agree with you 100% Adam, particularly when you say that when Angelina arranges songs to her jazzy wheelhouse she's unstoppable! What an artist! She always commanded the stage with her voice alone but now that she's grown up even more, she interacts with the audience in such a natural, even intimate way as if she knew each and every one of them. Many have travelled from other parts of Europe and the US to attend this concerts ♥ A song NOBODY had heard from Angelina before and was such a surprise was "Mount Everest" by Labrinth which was featured in the series "Euphoria". If you listen to the original which is great, you won't believe Angelina's genius arrangement and delivery! UNBELIEVABLE, major goosebumps worthy! Nice one Adam and I agree she rules the stage, commands it and has an nice bond with band and audience. The band is really good and has been playing with her before and has been playing with this time at all concerts. My take is that they rehearsed together not for perfection but for comfort and improvisation. It is a jazz approach: practice, go on stage and let it happen with room for whatever happens. She sounds amazing as ever and keep in mind that she has no supporting vocals either on stage or on a track: she carries all of the vocals. The energy coming of stage is wonderful: so many positive vibes. She and the band keep up the jazz tradition of dressing up to the nines. They did a sound check as well. Dressed casually but no simple 1-2-3, 1-2-3 but actual music making. Even the sound check sounds good :-)

Yes, she does it sooo well! I would really like for you to react to her more recent songs, 2023 was a fantastic year for Angelina! You definitely need to hear (and react to, please) her EP Old Enough, her single Our Time and, od course, her AMAZING rendition of Unchained Melody for the Nobel Peace Prize Tribute. WOW!!!! That was HOT!!! She got the emotional dichotomy just perfect. For having little to no experience in the subject she certainly nailed it. I thought that the best version to date was 11 year old Daneliya Tuleshova but Angelina has at the very least equaled that effort. This is a tough song to sing and get right, Angelina should be taking a homerun lap for this. Thank you, Adam for your insights and observations from this song.
Hi there i just want to add another comment i wrote to a reaction about Alma Deutscher - a young (about the same age as Angelina) creative Prodigy in Opera because of the similarities to Angelina - her it comes - Alma is one of the 3 big A's in music - she is the unbeliaveble creative compositor musician and director once she said that she sees notes as coulors and that they can be mixed to beauty like nothing else - next Amira Willighagen the unbeliable miraculess operatic voice about the same age and last not least Angelina Jordan who is all the Rest of genres because as a Jazz Singer first she easylie Covers all other genres like nobody else - maybe Alma could create a song like Barcelona - for a operatic voice and a Pop voice delivered together by Angelina and Amira - i would pay a lot to hear that - also both Amira and Angelina have an original song about the passing of a grandparent - "Million Miles" from Angelina and "In the Stars" from Amira - fellow Angels i invite you to listen to both Songs and your feelings about them - maybe both could swiched Songs and do a Cover of the other one.... cheers from Germany

If (when) you´re going to react to other songs from this concert, please choose the ones from Mattias Axelsson, his has got the very best sound quality. I was lucky enough to be at this concert, what an experience! I cried more than once, and even when it was over, I struggled with holding my tears back.
I couldn’t find any credits for videographer that recorded this concert, but I’ve listened to several contributors who recorded all of this concert.
