i love your videos! i just started doing magic and cardistry 5 days ago and from then you have taught me a lot of tricks already. I'm using an old set of bicycle cards, when i saw you had your own brand of cards i immediately when to website but was bummed when they where sold out guess i was a little late to the party lol. i'm trying to convince my mom to let me get a deck of NOC cards (i'm 16)
Chris: *SO YOU THINK YOU'RE THE BEST AT CARDISTRY?!* Me: (looks behind me) *... Me? I can't even cut a deck without dropping half the cards and somehow bending the rest... But yes. Me.*
And you should definitely talk about your own video the way you were talking at the beginning of this one! That’d be cool! I won’t ever be back to watch it, but it would be nice to know that somewhere in the world and on the web, you’re trashing your own efforts.
5:45 I don't understand how people can make a literally perfect fan, like they just have the magic power to control each card individually, all at once
Yeah, you gotta have some good cards. They're thinner, much better material, hold their shape better, move across themselves easier, but also grip better to the skin when you want them to. A well made deck is something speshul.
At the end of this video my mouth was really dry, and I was like wtf. Then I realized I watched this entire video with my jaw dropped. *Pure Amazement*
I remember being at the beginning of all the cardistry. The community was being built on Decknique which was a very popular forum for people who flourished. I remember being extremely active there and coming up with flourishes that people actually saw and used from me. Then the website closed and I kind of dropped off from cardistry. When I came back 4 or 5 years ago, the art has moved so far that I was left way to far behind. I still do flourishes I have created over the years even though they don’t seem as innovative as they did before, but I’m just so proud of where this art form has gone to. It’s truly incredible it has expended beyond a “handful” of dedicated people. Proud of everyone who takes up cardistry as the primary thing.
Hey Chris, I know that this video is 4 years old and I am just now discovering for the first time, but as I am a complete newb to Cardistry, watching you, who have come a long way since this video was made, is so much fun since I look up to you the same way you look up to the guys in this video. I feel like a regular human civilian, while your like Batman, and the guys in the video are at Superman level. I could watch you reacting to top-tier Cardists all day long. In this video I feel like I am hanging out with you at your home while we sit in awe of what talents and skills are waiting for us at the top of the mountain. Thanks for this, Even though now your much closer to the level of the guys in this video, watching you get your mind blown back then gives me hope for my own Cardistry future.
I dont like watching cardistry videos since they just make me jealous of what can be accomplished with a deck of cards and what little I can do. But, these videos get me motivated to start getting up to that level and actually create my own stuff no matter how rigid and rough around the edges the flourish is.
8:28 okay this is dedication here. Notice the checker black and white pattern on the cards, and NOTICE THE SHOES ON THE RIGHT. Manages to make it look super casual but adds in that great detail.
I watched this video with my mom, she constantly accused majority of these people for using camera tricks lol. Just a testament to what you said about blowing someones mind who's never seen cardistry before
I am so glad that I discovered Cardistry! And I am so surprized, amazed and happy that there is such a big community in this, it's like finding a long lost family xD
I absolutely LOVE your reactions to some of these...I'm glad that you can still be amazed by people who do crazy things in an activity where you have much talent yourself.
Yes sir! Cardistry is my play-doh thru a press... And that cascade is my face as well, good deck of cards, lotion, and a lot of fails, but when you finally get it even just once it's pure bliss.
I just got into magic and cardistry 2 months ago and soaking everything in as soon as I get home from my office job. These videos truly just blow my mind, and yes, I could watch them all day and through the night. wow.
What’s so cool is you calling attention to all the younger folks featured, you clearly are humble and your enthusiasm and passion comes through. Great video
That Joe flipdish or whatever flourish was indeed beautiful .....I want to learn that too....I love your reactions and it shows you're human and we all appreciate it...,cause this schnit is freaking tough!!!!
Holy fuck your channel exploded! Last time I watched a video of yours was in 2016 and you had like 50k subs back then. Now I randomly stumble upon a video of yours and you're above a *million?* Congrats, man!
First time really seeing cardistry as a topic and you were right that these did blow my mind! This skill and the discovery of this channel are going to fulfill a life desire to get good at cards without doing magic tricks.
So I don't have such a great frame of reference of how much better these were over just normal amazing stuff, but his reaction hit's it the fuck home. Absolutely smashed it, mint
Mine was so terrible, I went to the doctor. He said theres a minor surgery he can do to slow it down but I don't like the idea of cutting something in my arm. Then he gave me a spray which is basically alcohol to spray on my hands. Which, only works for 5 minutes... LOL
Okay ... so I enjoyed the cardistry shots (oh, thanks btw for putting those up) but what I really enjoyed was watching YOUR reactions to watching the cardistry shots.
I was on your channel showing my mom how magical your tricks are and came across this video. I think I just played myself. I am trying to learn but watching this video made me loose my shit even more than you did. Great video, support you lots❤️
I mean this in the nicest way possible, there is something really inspiring to see you blown away... knowing that we all start knowing nothing and be able to get to be as good as the guys/girls we aspire to.
You took the words right out of my mouth, lol. These videos are so satisfying to watch, but your reactions to them makes them even better, because you make us laugh while experiencing the same feelings you are. Thank you!
WTF OMFG I'VE NEVER SEEN NOTHING LIKE THIS MY MIND IS ALL DESTROYED ON HOW THEY DO THIS THAT LAST ONE YOU SHOWED WHERE HE SPUN THE CARD ON HIS THUMB CHRIS RAMSAY YOU'VE GIVEN ME THE INSPIRATION THAT I NEED TO PUSH FORWARD IN ENTERTAINMENT THANK YOU SO MUCH
Cardistry is extremely satisfying to me. My buddy Anthony does cardistry and I always get him to do it just so I can watch. I can flick and throw cards in a badass way, but that's as far it goes. Great video
Chris that second move is totally doable. I just pulled it off had to watch it a couple of times and i'm doing it terribly but you know how this stuff goes, can't do, almost do, can do shit, can do less shit, can do. Thanks for the video
I love your attitude man. I found this channel a little while ago with your puzzles, and so I bought one for my son and he loved it and wants more. Now I've been learning some of your easier magic tricks to show my 5 year old daughter and she friggin LOVES them. I'm definitely no magician, but it's fun to learn and impress my daughter. Thanks for the good content! =)
I don't do cardistry, but i love seeing it. If i were to pick it up, i'd want to learn that one handed one where you hold the deck and then spin one card on one finger
that noel heath kid is probably going places. I could easily see him in the future releasing a green back version of his own deck that would become my favorite deck of all time but is also hard to get under $20 and its very upsetting because Its the deck I want to use and play with and wear out most just a hunch.
ah man the thing you have with tobias being magical. the cards appearing out of nowhere, simply not understanding how it is even possible. i have that with gloving. i've been doing that for about a month now. i watch the videos totally mind blown and trying to figure out what is happening. you should check it out it's really cool to see. let me know :) love your tattoos btw!
