@@yolover111 you're very naive if that's what you think you think it's because we have low expectation that s*** like cyberpunk and Fallout 76 come out no they came because people in the game industry decided to send them out because they thought oh by them anyways because we're just happy morons
I know I always take my life advice from a God Man who wears the ashes of his family he murdered on his skin. Seems like a well rounded dude. In all seriousness, it's fine to be excited for stuff. However if Cyberpunk has taught us anything it's that managing expectations is important. I'm excited for a new Perfect Dark game for example. I haven't boarded the hype train on it yet. I'll wait until I know the game is even, truly coming out (I remember Scalebound, Microsoft), the gameplay looks good and about a week before it drops before I consider buying my hype train ticket.
pretty much, as if it's like the end of the world or something, they suddenly forget the new upcoming Harry Potter game, new GoW or any big titles going forward. Guess in a grand scheme of things, we should remember to stay cautiously optimistic and manage our own hype so promising games can *actually* deliver the final product
Yeah, they're seriously acting like nothing has ever disappointed them ever before in their entire lives, and now they acting mad salty. Just a depressing sight to see.
@@tommykiryu777 And that's the exact problem, pal. People have been disappointed more than once, and only now they are acting carefully... But better late than never!
@Leotis Bennett Hey uhh crazy thought Some people can acknowledge it's flaws and still like the game. Others still bought the fallout 4 and 76 along with skyrim and those games are "arguably" broken products
@@kanati1133 well, with fallout 4 and skyrim people have modded those games to make them bug free, and 76 has gone through a major change that fixed alot of the issues while cyberpunk is still kinda sucky atm
@Mardusflame The point being that so far, this game has not lived up to what was promised and shown. It probably will, it looks legit -- but so did CP77 at this point in its development.
Sure but the difference here is that the hype for Cyberpunk came from CDPR constantly boasting that their game was gonna be the next coming of christ and it ended up being average at best, whereas here the gameplay is speaking for itself and attitude of the devs shows that they know the game is still in an early stage and there is still a lot to improve.

The fact that it was made by indie devs gave me more hope, CDPR is a huge company compared to this and have a lot of shareholders that's why they were forced to release it early.
@@xlyrium7896 cd project red fooled everyone, not just Yong , all the signs for a great game and the company was seemingly transparent but actively deceived everyone. That being said though, waiting for a game to release and wating for reviews that come out AFTER the game is released is a wise decision. And don't preorder anything ever lol
@@grayaj23 I mean, I'm not telling people to preorder or anything, but it's a young studio, with a big project, and a humble lead who seems like this is almost a passion project for him. I can't help but root for them.
No one said anything about rules or not allowed to be excited and strawman arguments and whatever. If I have to explain why there's a difference from our reaction vs a youtube influencer's reaction then I dont know where to start.
@@thehitmanisup saying there is a lesson that must not be forgotten is basically the same as saying theres a rule that must be followed. And how have I misinterpreted this? You're saying he should have remembered the lesson cypk2077 taught him, which is dont get hyped or excited, am I wrong?
Pretty sure the lesson people should've learned was don't buy video games, pirate them if you have to, and expect everything to be horrible, not just games, but movies, books, life in general. If you live life expecting everything to be utterly shit and miserable, you can only be pleasantly surprised.
If cyberpunk has taught me anything, its to never trust pre release enhanced footage. It can look like a 3020 game (Skyrim mods) but till I see it played by someone I can trust, the hype stays at zero
@@brianl8481 He's not hyping it up because of how many games showed amazing footage only to release to mixed opinions. The game could be amazing but again it's best to play it safe and wait for more trailers/hand on gameplay. For all we know this could be the good footage, that they use to get us excited, and then downgrade in other to make it run on all hardware.
@@zschade27 well we have a footage that the creator is playing it on a console no ? Yeah it may be false, but trust me when a chinese compagny fails to meet up the expectations they won’t have any future, chinese gamers are way more aggressive then western players. No hate, their gaming community is like soo big that ours is just an ant facing it. I doubt they will have the guts to fake their game, they are a small compagny and have already revealed their face and names. No chance left for them if they fail to satisfy Chinese gamers.

@@zschade27 yeah, I understand you, me thoo I hope i won’t have to switch my PC to rule properly this game in the future. Many of my friends spent their hard earned money on high tier PCs for Cyberpunk, oh god I feel soo bad for them. Well atleast they wont have to worry about that in the future.
Let us learn from our past mistakes: avoid the Hype Train. Don't preorder, wait for reviews, there are other games you can play and finish in the meantime!
I didn't preorder, waited for reviewers and they said that the game had some bugs but otherwise was amazing. So.. don't even trust reviewers, wait for a couple of weeks and see what gamers say.
Its as if they are new to the industry. Hate on AAA games all you want but the reality is that Indie studios simple lack the budget to make in depth games. So you end up with something that looks very polished but plays like Journey or something. That's fine but you will hardly get a highly detailed and super engrossing game coming from these studios. Mostly they offer fun and unique gameplay due to their games being lower risk. It's so tiring when people hype up these sorts of trailers as if they never been through this process before.
@@mikev8746 at this day and age we hardly get any "highly detailed and super engrossing game" worth of anything, we just have to keep our heads cool and avoid hyping stuff up
@Rodrigo Tassara The CP2077 gameplay demos were real too. It isn't that difficult to make gameplay segments seem better than they end up being in the final product.
Tsukino F Difference is that people including Yong jumped on the bandwagon about China and human rights but here he is wanting something from Made by A company in China. Blizzard shouldn't do business with China he said.
I just hope this game lives up to the hype. It’s got everything when it comes to atmosphere, graphics, and art style. The gameplay is what matters most and I hope they don’t forget.
Thought I was going crazy, cause I was sure Yong hyped the shit out of cyberpunk and was even gushing over it after playing. Then turned colours fast as fuck when the real truth of the games state became apparent. Now he's getting everyone hyped as shit again.
@@philm325 not to mention right after the game came out he casually boxed up his collector figure in the background....yong's credibility for tech or games to me has been dropping ever since on of his streams was laggy trash and he blamed the source stream....then seconds later accidentally showed the 30+ chrome tabs he had open.
As much as I like seeing new game titles come out, I haven't been this hyped for a game since God of War. I'm absolutely looking forward to Black Myth: Wukong. Sun Wukong has always been one of my favorite entities in folklore. Just love folklore in general but I grew up with Sun Wukong in entertainment as well. This is looking like a better game homage than Hero is Back. That's for sure. 👍
I'm just happy that they won't ruin the character like so many western films do, they always make him look like a bumbling fool when he's a dangerous and powerful character.
Hero is Back is such a joke, a quick cash grab capitalizing on the popular animated film. Hard to believe that one was officially signed off by Sony....
Biggest difference, gameplay is shown. Hype is not being done farther than Cyberpunk did. Hype is being done naturally than through advertisements. True, there is still much time before release and the advertisements may start popping up soon
"The internet is blown away by Cyberpunk 2077" -Cyberpunk botched- The internet: I learned my lesson -Black Myth trailer release- The internet: ah ---- here we go again.
First one was a recruitment advertisement for more staff. This one’s a CNY greeting saying goodbye rat and hello ox. I foresee this game will be released on the year of the monkey.
This is probably the last time I'm gonna look at any coverage of this game. I learned my lesson when I bought Cyberpunk on the second day of release, and I didn't even think I was hype.
There's no way that's a small indie game developer. I think that there are many chances the chinese government has been injecting a lot of money in this project. It's the kind of thing that one can expect from China.
@watchmejumpstart Actually this indeed is a mix of footages they re-edited together as a feature "film" to celebrate the Year of the Ox, hence the sequence of eliminating the double headed Rat boss to facing the final Ox boss. I noticed the frame drop during the fire effects too, and it might mean that those footages are captured from a real gameplay.
I love how they put out trailers containing what is undeniably some of the best graphics to date and then apologise for it not being up to snuff, meanwhile we've got some high profile devs who still to this day won't admit to wrong doing and broken promises for mishandled games that've been out for years now. Pretty crazy.
As the saying goes: "There are no accidents." - Master Oogway This is how I see the game as at the moment, a promising title being developed by ex-Tencent developers - which is hard to believe or accept. But with the way this game is being handled, we can only be cautiously optimistic. No more no less. Looking forward to this!
Don't get sucked in and get burned. Hell that closed door Cyberpunk demo was mind blowing too(and let's not forget that Anthem demo), then we found out that was doctored and put together. I'll reserve cautious optimism.
That looks so good and I can't wait to see what it looks like finished. :D I am already hyped for a bunch of titles this year and some expansions. This is just something to look forward to. :D
Here's a guideline that i follow that save me money: Don't hype Don't pre order Wait for in depth reviews Wait at least 1 month for bug fixes If all checks out, wait another few years for sales.
Indeed. The influencers and the press should know that they are also responsible for the Cyberpunk incident. No product should get that amount of praise before being delivered
@@grendelrisen4510 what does it matter. people are surprised by the game mechanics , graphics and detail, not because of the plot. Literally that reminder on the video means nothing at all because people just want to see the game, not looking at a trailer for story purposes..

Something about this game has always seemed like a pipedream. Possibly the unknown developer if I can put it to a phrase. The game definitely catches the eye not unlike possible vaporware like Atomic Heart. I'm waiting for the catch.
@@Shiba9870 Unknown is a poor word to use. What I meant is that studio behind the game as a whole is unproven. Meanwhile Other commentors: "So yeah, like Cyberpunk was trash, and that should be a reminder of a hyped game potentially being trash" Let peeps like a trailer. We can judge if it still holds up, whenever it releases a playable demo or something.
This concerns me because after the first trailer a few months earlier I fully expected not to hear about this game for years, as it was only a concept trailer with most of the game still not done. Getting another one so soon is already fishy
In a way, I actually kind of have to thank Cyberpunk. That disaster helped me change my POV on pre-release footage and keep expectations low until the final product is out to prevent what could have been exponential disappointment.
Honestly, I didn’t think it looked as good as the initial trailer that they had. Still looks like it has potential, but just like anything, wait for actual third party reviews
I love how media outlets and youtubers are covering this like it's the next greatest game but only off of two most likely finely crafted trailers. Best to wait for actual UI with gameplay and even then pre-ordering shouldn't be a normal thing unless it's from a studio that has a good reputation or isn't hiding what the game actually looks like as with most games but we all know what happened with Fallout 76 and Cyberpunk 2077. Best to avoid games with 7 in their name lol
Wow, one positive we can all take from the whole Cyberpunk situation is that now everyone is keeping their hype in check and is skeptical about most game trailers/announcements.
Tbh I personally feel like Chinese devs are killing it so far. I've been playing JRPGs for the longest time. I've always been waiting for JRPGs to take the next step and make something truly breathtaking but I haven't felt it happened until Genshin Impact. That game is visually one of the best anime games to date and I honestly can't stop playing it. I can't wait to see the Chinese gaming industry blow up cause the seem to really care about quality > quantity.
