this german radio station comes from my region, from bavaria. i usually listen to this radio station every day and i was so pissed. THIS WAS THE MODERATOR'S PRE MODERATION FOR FIX U FROM COLDPLAY AND JUST BC BTS COVERED IT HE HAD TO SAY SUCH WORDS. it was 2 months ago and every time my parents hear this radio station i'm angry af
If you want to bawl watch their acceptance speech for their big win in 2018 where they talked about almost disbanding....so glad they didn't...they are such precious souls...not a ugly bone in their bodies....so genuine.
When the German racist guy happened as well as the wack-a-mole event happened, all ARMY went on attack mode on Twitter demanding appology and a withdrawal of that card. Within days the German host went in hiding and blocking Twitter and the other company withdrawing the card. They also apologized. The German guy is still not active on SM. I think the some thing similar happened with the Chillian host (I wasn't involved in that one). NO one attacks BTS and gets away with it! NO ONE! As long as we are here, we will protect them, defend them and love them. I hope all haters remember that.
the funny thing is that BTS sold out full stadiums in the US (15 stadium nights in the us alone) and the UK plus all over the world and those western artist who shit on BTS couldn't even sell out an arena in their home country
It strikes a nerve when FACTS are laid out with proof to back it up in the form of hateful tweets, tv/radio shows mocking the boys, etc because you need to be pretty damn delusional to think those things aren't "that bad". I get a proud mom kind of moment when I also realize that they didn't let the hate bring them down, turn them jaded and cynical but will continue to share their unconditional love with those who need it.

I have been around for almost all of this (early 2015 ARMY!) and it never gets easier to witness. They are such genuine, kind people and constantly deal with atrocities. The rise of social media has sadly made people even braver about voicing these hateful comments but I know for a fact that they are all cowards that would never dare say this to BTS' or any ARMY's faces. They attack out of insecurity and that is their problem with themselves. Do not feel too sad about enlistment! I guarantee Big Hit has content planned for release during that time and there have been occasional rumors over the past few years that they might enlist together so they can all be done at once. Regardless, ARMYs will be here 🥰

Gosh it was so hard back then been an Army since 2014. Knowing as a fan there is only so much you can do and I really feel bad for the guys as they had to take all that hate and bottle it up because they couldn't afford to do anything about it then. I think out of all them the death threats and when Tae grandma passed was one of the most hurtful things they went through.

Two weeks ago my cousin commit suicide by burning herself to death and it’s been really hard for me but listening to Bts songs have helped me a lot! I’m still not okay but I’m getting there. You haven’t seen the half of what goes on and I might sound bias here but a lot of other kpop groups most definitely don’t go through it to this extent. I’ve been in other fandoms before becoming an army and it was tuff and kpop fans can be horrible but BTS get it BAD. It’s disgusting because if I muttered the stuff I’ve seen. This is why I feel this weird sense of pride for them. They've gone through so much. Also, yes it is unfortunately very very common for kpop groups to have anti-fans. The anti-fans for any group get really bad (there are anti-fan pages even for specific members of a group. Its stupid.), but I think it's safe to say that BTS has received some of the most egregiously shitty treatment. Being Asian myself (at least according to the government), it does hurt to see main stream media be able to hate on Asians and it be as "acceptable" as it is and BTS is a group that seems to be helping to shatter that. Actually one fan of another group accused them of plagiarizing the font used on their album and comeback show -- New Times Roman! Luckily after a day or so, other people from her fandom told her to stop because she's making them look ridiculous b/c that is the most commonly used font!

Honeslty I'm kinda glad I missed their new years eve performace that night because I was playing games with the people there because if I saw that in real time when it happened after their performance I would have been so heated and upset I wouldn't have known what to do with myself and my mood for the rest of the night would have gone from 100 to 0 real quick... Also i think I should mention that whenever they recieved hate mail in another language that he could speak/read most likely in English he would read the message as it was in his head and translate it to be a positive message for whoever it was Rm would do or more speciffically Namjoon would do... when they were first starting out... so basically he would carry the hate with him

sincerely everything they have to endure hurts my soul, they are only 7 guys who do what they love and who inspire and heal the hearts of many people, can someone explain to me what they have done to receive so much hate? Many people make an excuse that they hate army and that is why they end up hating bts. I mean seriously? Don’t worry too much about their military service. It’s only 18 months and they are prerecording tons of stuff so they can continue to release new music for ARMY while they are serving in the actual army. Well, as long as they all enlist together. Hopefully they won’t be like some other groups and only enlist a few at a time and drag it out for like 3-5 years. Cough cough EXO. Cough Cough SHINee. Cough Cough Vixx. But I personally think that they won’t be able to bear to be apart from each other for that long and they will decide to all go together. Also, from what I have seen of other Korean artists coming back from their military service, both Idols and Hallyu actors, they all seem to go through a lot of personal growth and be better people when they finish. And if North Korea decides to attack while BTS is in the South Korean Military, I think BTS’s private ARMY will descend on North Korea and Teach Kim Jeong Il not to mess with our boys.

@Muhammad Danish Hafiz Mohd Adib korea allowed BTS to delay their compulsory military service till 30. seokjin is 28 now but his korean age is 29 .....this december hes gonna turn 30 ( korean age ) they even took jins interview and he said he will be ready to perform whenever they call for him :-( . seokjin said he will be sad that he wont be with BTS but will still support and cheer them through net tv etc

Most reactors react by asking Why??? It is important to understand kpop culture where the Big3 the three companies dominated and groups of these were ruling. They had money, clout and the power. Media did what they asked them to. So no new group outside was encouraged. Many were crushed easily. So thats where the hate came from. A combined effort of the industry.

The thing is, The Beatles are well known thru the world, yet not everyone speaks english. Ppl made it a point to find translations. they first faced shit in their home country bec most awards in the past went to groups and artist from the 3 ''big'' companies back then so when a group from a very small company who had only one group (BTS) start doing good suddenly all their achievements got buried by korean media (for example BTS got the best selling album in 2016 in korea and not a single article was written about it and the one that do get taken down so fast but an artist hair color got the front page news LOL) BTS even entered billboard charts with their first album back in 2013 and no one knows about it so ARMYs start to promote BTS everywhere and provide recipes about their achievements and asked radios all over the world to play BTS since they are on every country main charts but got shut down so many times we even asked local stores to provide BTS's albums in store and target was the first to do so and now thanks to bts and armys you can find other kpop albums in those stores what makes BTS different is that they are albums focus group their music and their lyrics on their b-side tracks are so good and even better that the tracks they promote their pen power is on another level.

Military enlistment won't do nothing to BTS' popularity & career. It is just what those 26 companies want you to think, to make you demand from korean law makers & in the end to use you as their tool. It all started from one politician talking about how he wants to make a change in the law regarding to the kpop idols getting exemption from military like athletes, who won Olympics medal, using BTS' achievements as example. But later Billboard wrote false article & made fake news video about how ARMYs made petition to make BTS get exemption in military. In that matter, we asked for the receipt. And that the petition happened to have only 8 votes. How would american writer know about petition in Korea that had only 8 votes, right? And Korean media picked up that news & reported it in Korea. The whole thing was pre-planned. And ever since then this issue was brought up again & again & again, since 2018. BTS & ARMYs got hate again & again & again, eventho none of us asked for it. Even Korean ARMYs stay silent about this topic. Because they know it is very sensitive topic and that BTS will get the backlash. Imo basically what happened, is that those Kpop labels saw an opportunity through BTS' achievements. For those labels, military is kinda money lose. Because kpop idol groups lose their momentum & sales once they enlist military. So they got this idea of constantly reporting this fake news, to make BTS fans feel like "BTS need exemption" & law makers feel like "the huge global BTS fans are demanding for exemption. So you gotta make change". If the law is on the role, there gotta be standard criteria. What could it be? SM label thought that it will getting #1 on Billboard Top 200. So they created a whole new group out of all the popular members of their groups. And made a deal with american label, where they can make their Korean & International sales count as US sales. They produced the album in Korea, shifted it to US & from US shifted the album to other countries. Ofcourse with tons of bundles & get now & pay later thing. The sad thing about the whole thing is not just BTS was used as scapegoat but also how those labels were shifting the attention to military exemption, whenever BTS achieves something historical. General public didn't have a proper time to focus nor see the news. But just bombarded by the articles about whether BTS should get exemption from military & how their fans are demanding for it. And we get the hate. Thankfully, law makers did something, that is not in the favor of those labels but at the same time something that can end this never-ending issue, that was the pain in our ass, something general public won't pick on BTS something that won't be used as an excuse to control BTS' musical freedom. (People won't use it like "yo, we gave you exemption. So don't release music in Japanese. Don't this or that")

He does the work that so many western reporters don’t when researching and explaining BTS and Kpop. He encapsulates so well how truly phenomenal BTS is in the Kpop industry, the pop industry, and the music industry as a whole. It helps that with how well he does his research, he shows so much respect for eastern concepts and their impact on the western world. It’s beautiful.
