Let It Happen was my first Tame Impala song. I listened to it back in 2021. Didn't check the whole album or any other of Kevin's works back then but have done recently. Let It Happen is still my fav, and New Person/Same Old Mistakes is a very very close second. Others I LOVE from this album are The Moment and Love Paranoia. Out of Lonerism, my favs are: Endors Toi, Mind Mischief, Why Won't They Talk To Me. One More Year, Borderline, Posthumous Forgiveness, Glimmer, Tomorrow's Dust and One More Hour from The Slow Rush work for me.

This album is truly ecstasy in music form

Cause I’m a Man is honestly one of my all time favorite. How can you deny that nasty grove? 😩 so good!

I really like past life, the altered voice had to grow on me but now the song just sends me somewhere else.

I love past life. I think the story telling in the verses is interesting and the chorus is magical. I could see why others don’t love it though

I love past life. It took a few listens to get past the blaring bass and I don’t usually like spoken parts in songs but the chorus is magical and I’ve come to love every part of this song.

Love/Paranoia my personal favorite. So many intense feelings and concordance with the music that makes me get completely immersed into it.

Your reaction to “Cause I’m a Man” cracked me up. For context, the lyrics are not meant to be taken literally. For me it is more of a commentary on how men make so many nonsensical excuses for causing harm to our partners because of our unwillingness of being emotionally vulnerable in relationships.

Past Life once played while I was on the bus home from school, right when the bas-intro drops I see a past fling on the other side of the bus stop. Since that experience it’s been one of my favorites ironically lol

You should definitely do the SLOW RUSH next, most underrated Tame Impala album in my opinion.

Past life is a very special song for me, its like meeting an old love and realize that is a totally different person

Great reaction! Dissapointed you didn't like Cause I'm A Man tho cuz that's top 3 on the album for me. Extremely catchy and a very funny dissection on how guys make bad decisions and excuses. Also Past Life isn't my first choice but I do like the song, I think it's a weird little banger!

I disliked Cause I’m a Man on first listen too, I thought the lyrics were pretty stupid. But after reading Parker’s interviews on the song, the intent of the song makes a bit more sense to me.
