I agree this concert was cutting-edge for it's time, mainly because it was a film projection and NOT computer screen imaging! It was my FIRST of many DR concerts and it NEVER loses it's appeal. Thanks a million for sharing!! 😘😎✌🏾
The joy Diana Ross brings is just tremendous, I have seen her at every concert since I was17, I have just celebrated my 70th, and I still Love,Love,Love her, I was lucky enough to have got up the stage with her at the London palladium and had a little dance to love hangover. Shall never forget it ❤️
Another fabulous video Philippe. This has to be one of the most iconic concerts of all time. It's true Vegas old style glamour meets cutting edge technology. THAT opening is sensational and years ahead of its time. In my opinion this is her best ever concert. I love that she features so many songs from her "current" The Boss" album. Diana is at her peak here. Once more your passion and enthusiasm is infectious. Here in the UK we had no idea this concert/TV Special took place, it was only when RU-vid was launched that we got to see it for the first time. To celebrate her 80th birthday the BBC screened her 1973 concert filmed in the Royal Albert Hall. It was the first time it had been repeated in over 50 years!
Wow...Miss Ross raised the bar with this one, that's for sure! The drama and anticipation with a Diana Ross concert is always on another level. Diana's stage presence is magical...you just can't keep your eyes off her! Thanks for your review!!!
Merci Philippe.... pour vos vidéos passionnées ! My beautiful late Mother took me to see this show when I was 12. I remember gasping when she came through that screen ! She was and is one of my SHEro's ! Later in life I traveled the world doing my music, own flat in Paris and I know that she represented all those possibilities as a kid! Anything is possible ! I see a link from that show and life now...Happy 80th Diana and merci encore Philippe for reminding me of that wondrous moment of my childhood ! 🥰😘🎪🗼🗽🌍
Merci beaucoup Ciara, What a lovely message, how lucky you are to have seen this show live! I am so thankful for this channel because it gives me an opportunity to interact with passionate people and share with them my love of music and all things beautiful. Merci encore

OMG ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😀😀😀😀😀💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝 Philippe, Thank you so much I agree with every word you said in this video I also agree with the Diana Ross doll that's in the background as well. You are definitely a supea 🦸 fan, I have a huge collection of Diana Ross memorabilia mostly PHOTOS,DVDs CASSETTE TAPES and CDs that's one thing I don't have is the Diana Ross doll so thank you for presenting us with the Diana Ross doll. I also appreciate mentioning my name and calling me a friend (I love that)❤😊 thank you. 🎶 FRIEND TO FRIEND 🎶 I remember at 13 watching this concert for the first time and thinking wow this lady/singer is singing about what I believed in, and feeling at the time (LOVE) ( TOGETHERNESS) (HOPE) (POWER) (DREAMS) (FAMILY)(STRENGTH) and most of all (GOD) it was absolutely mesmerizing for me. THANKS AGAIN & GOD BLESS YOU 🙏✌️♥️ I'll be looking forward to your next video on Diana Ross in Central Park. Because there's a funny short story I'd like to share while watching this concert back in 1983.
This is definitely her best concert, although Evening With, the 1980 and the 1973 tours are wonderful too. I love that this is the only time we hear No One Gets the Prize and I Ain’t Been Licked (although I think she sang Licked at a few shows in 2008.) Her voice is at its best here. This is the concert fans show to people who say she can’t sing.
That coat looked absolutely fantastic and how I wish that someone would take another crack at Mame and that fantastic coat would had been a part of Mame's wardrobe and in a way Diana Ross is sort like Mame a larger than life character and down to earth at the same time.
So I mean u did it again! This show still brings me to my knees EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! And I have watched this oh at least a hundred times! It truly is remarkable the entire show. Remember Me, My Man, I ain't been licked, on & on! It's a nonstop love/glamour show that I mean who would want this to ever end??? Anyway. Does anyone else notice when she does the first verse of anmhe on the screen she does not even blink?!?! Now u know where I'm going next! God bless & keep u my friend & thank u always! Love from Milwaukee USA.
Diana Ross was soaring during these years 💎 . I taped this concert on a VHS and watched it to absolute death . It would be a gift if it were re-mastered today .
