Ready Teddy," Always on my mind" here: basically a clip / tribute too Elvis and his wife Love story they had filmed their intimate moments during their vacation, we also see their wedding, the birth of their daughter Lisa Mary, and Elvis singing "always on my mind" just after his divorce because he always loved his wife who was his only love , it's a bittersweet video, when you see the images and listen to the lyrics. Here the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wTRSlZEq_l0.html

There have been so many suggestions in your comments already, it’s almost hard to keep track, haha. One that hasn’t been mentioned (I think) is his very first recording, when the 18 year old truckdriver Elvis walked in to the Memphis Recording Service you know, and paid the four dollars to make that little record for his mom. And miss Keisker wrote down his name, and the rest is history. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dyZM6x-yPjs.html

Shortly after this performance. You would only see Elvis filmed from the waist up only. His moves were extremely controversial. I’m at the age, where I had the opportunity to attend Elvis’s concert. I was 9yrs old. My mom, sister & I had the privilege of attending one of his concerts. I feel so blessed that I have the opportunity to do that. He didn’t think he would be remembered once he left this earth. It makes my heart smile to see that there’s a new generation embracing him. He was a special man, very generous. There will never be another Elvis.

Thanks for your reaction Bimu, Oh Yeah Elvis. was wild in the early days. He was tamed there compared to some of his performances. Very much so. They never saw anything like him in the 50s. Even wanted him banned of TV.

When I saw him at 12 years old on this show, I freaked. My dad didn't want me to watch him. That was a real old fashioned era. No body saw a man doing that stuff. And nobody that sexy. He loved to play with audience, he never took himself seriously. He gave everything in every performance. He was humble, loved his mother, loved God, he had so many sides to him. Many tried to copy him and many wanted to be him. He worked when he was sick, when he was tired and never complains. He couldn't believe his luck and never forgot where he came from. Watch "Elvis Presley King of Kindness". Or " Elvis Presley and the black Community". thanks for your super reaction.

Bimu, have to share this with you.I went to the opening day of Elvis first movie “Love me tender “ at the Paramount theater in New York City. Everyone was screaming. At that time you could stay and watch the movies over and over. I watched it over two times and was late for a singing lesson. I also had a sore throat but it was so much fun. That was how it was!

These are the performances that Michael Jackson studied the most. Specifically -- the dancing on his toes -- no one was doing that back then. The shoulder and hand twitches. The rubbery super flexible leg movements. All later on picked up by MJ three decades later. All performers after him began to mimic his stage presentation. No one really pulled it off like Elvis, but Michael Jackson came the closest. The difference of course is that Michael Jackson hired choreographers to teach him how to dance --- whereas with Elvis Presley - It was all natural body movements - he was all about the VIBE.

It is crazy to think he was only 21yo and while this may seem tame today, this was very controversial in the 50s and why he was censored so much. On TV he tamed down his movements but you still can see the reaction of the fans to him, his singing and moves. He was so young and everything looked so amazing to him at that age. Great reaction.

This was in the late fall of 1956 when he was like 20, but check out his appearance earlier that year in June on the Milton Berle variety show, it would be interesting for you to contrast and compare, and that performance on International television is what set off a huge Firestorm of racist and religious backlash, they were even calling him the n-word and stuff. So anything you see later than this on television is usually kind of scaled down or the camera will cut away from anything below the waist at certain times.

If you have the time, please won't you check out this performance of Hound Dog from The Milton Berle Show in 1956. This is the performance that led to shows only being allowed to film Elvis from the waist up. This performance caused such controversy because the hip thrusting and shaking was not seen during those times. HOUND DOG The Milton Berle Show (1956) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MMmljYkdr-w.htmlsi=947KDjMILESVhtGx This one is another high energy song. Its called Blue Suede Shoes. You will see at around the 45 second mark, Elvis is checking the string of his guitar, which he had just broken. Then at approximately the 1:00 mark, you see him trying to pull the guitar string off while he's performing. When he steps back in front of the microphone, you can actually see the guitar string hanging from the headstock of the guitar. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NYnri1RjJaE.htmlsi=ncO8vtEpnw68Ke-H

This was an early tv appearance, and he was singing on the deck of the USS Hancock, a retired U.S. Naval Ship. @2:00, check out the stand-up bass guitar player Bill Black, sit on his bass, and have fun by kicking his legs out and slapping his bass with both hands.

BACKGROUND - Most people believe Elvis was on Ed Sullivan first but that isn't correct -- Sullivan turned him down at first because of his movements and in Jan. '56 he went on The Dorsey Bros. Stage Show singing a great “Shake Rattle & Roll” & appearing head to toe at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oXiX3cl03DE.html . He then went aboard the W.W.II aircraft carrier the U.S.S. Hancock w-Milton Berle in April '56 to perform for the sailors, & again on Milton Berle's show in June '56. Both appearances showed Elvis head to toe. It was in July '56 when he appeared on the Steve Allen show wearing a tuxedo & singing "Hound Dog to a live hound dog, which irritated Elvis greatly but he always did what was expected of him. Regarding Berle & Sullivan: Berle received approx. 500,000 PAN letters because all of Elvis had been shown. And although the mail was negative, it caused Berle's ratings to top Sullivan for the 1st time, irritating Sullivan greatly which caused Sullivan to rethink his original decision of turning Elvis down, & so Sullivan then agreed to have Elvis on his show in Sept., Oct. & again in Jan. On September 9, 1956, neither Elvis nor Ed Sullivan were in the studios that day for broadcasting. A month before Elvis' appearance on his show, Sullivan suffered from an almost fatal automobile crash that left him hospitalized for weeks and was unable to recover from his injuries quickly enough. British actor Charles Laughton filled in for Sullivan as host for Presley’s debut performance on Sullivan's show. With regards to Elvis, he also was not in New York where the Sullivan show was broadcast from -- Elvis was actually at Television City in Hollywood where he was in the middle of filming "Love Me Tender. And it was Laughton who introduced Elvis that night making it all appear like Elvis was "on the show."

Doing other artists is good, but when you said you "might" check some more of Elvis' songs I got the impression that you're cutting back on him? Or did i misunderstand. Well, if you do, I'm still hoping you'll at least not overlook what I suggested previously from '72 Hampton Roads ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LNtP5Gd8QGE.html, & the 2 from is stand-up '68 special "Blue Suede Shoes" (2:50 min.) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ak5KEbi8Nac.html and "Jailhouse Rock" (1:50 min.) -- which I think I explained since they'e both so short (just 4:00 min. total) you can do both - one followed by the other. You should get a feel for the rousing performances which are different than 1972. For a non-Elvis suggestion I give you "A Whiter Shade Pale" by the '60's British group. This amazing outdoor concert is from 2006 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-St6jyEFe5WM.html in Denmark. An amazing Italian aria from the best, the greatest Luciano Pavarotti -- 'Nessun Dorma" from 1994 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cWc7vYjgnTs.html.
