yes, Cesar's tattoo is real, its a tarot card King of Cups. and yep, that is Geoff going up in his falsetto range for a few seconds :-) and finishes the song with a growl that ends all the way down to an A0.
@@shirleykarr560 he has done fry even lower, but the growl only ended on an A0, it wasn't a sustained note, which is usually what people count when counting it as part of a vocal range. it was just a fraction of a second. his lowest sustained is still the B0.
@@huldradraco What I'm curious about is whether he did the high falsetto at 8:44 too! Another commenter was pretty sure that that was Geoff, and not Geoff handing off to AleXa! 🤔
@@ZhenYaoYin no, that's AleXa. Geoff's high notes lasted from 8:40 to 8:44, and then AleXa came in even higher. A lot of reactors don't catch that it is Geoff doing the high notes though and assume it's one of the others.
AleXa is a K-pop artist and winner of America Song Contest 2022 (raised in Oklahoma and a US citizen). AleXa's part was filmed in South Korea where she was when the video was being created. If you decide to watch some of AleXa's songs i would recommend (in this order to watch) "Bomb" "Do or Die" and "Revolution" they have a linked story through the music videos... if you just want a sample of AleXa then go try her latest song Wonderland (i would recommend the "Official Performance Video" version version of this song
The members of Voiceplay were dressed as Characters from Arcane, too; maybe just not as closely as AleXa does Jynx. Cesar is Ekko, Geoff is Silco (I think that’s the name. The one who helped shape Jynx into what she became.) the others a bit less so but still game-based. As for the video, each of them was filmed separately in front of a green screen (AleXa was in Korea and uploaded her part through the internet) then all the individual parts edited together.

My best wishes for a full recovery to Carrie. Geoff's laugh sounds so cool, it's like "evil." Of course Layne excelled at beatboxing and Eli...is Eli, what else can I say, he's always magnificent, I love his high notes!!! Cesar's soft voice!!!. I've never heard of AleXa, but I definitely liked her voice, and the little choreography suits the video well. Don't you think they darkened Geoff's hair and Eli's mustache and beard to match the theme of the video?
The hair looks darker, but it's just an effect to darken everything to suit the tone of the song. In the BTS you can see their usual hair and mustache color. Except Cesar, of course.

I'm sorry you were ill and I'm so glad you're doing better now. And thank you guys so much for the explanations. I've never even heard of Arcane, much less have any familiarity of it. I'd heard the names Jinx and Echo mentioned by other reactors and assumed the other were dressed as specific character too. I guess not, although Eli and Geoff are looking so dapper. when i first saw the video (never had the pleasure from arcane as others), i thought they were and that might just be me being old school LoL player, from left to right: Victor (Layne), Ekko (Cesar), Jinx (Alexa), Braum (Eli, mainly because of the mustache) and Vladimir (Geoff)

Glad to have you back! This is such a complex arrangement not only musically but visually. Thank you for the explanations. As with so many of the more modern songs that VoicePlay does I Googled the Imagine Dragons version and found one they had merged with clips from either the series or game - I’m not sure which. So I knew that Jinx was, shall we say, troubled. I may have to actually subscribe to Netflix for a short time just to see who what the heck is going on. Since you’ve seen the series you may be able to answer a question for me. It seems that the effect that they’ve given the guys and Alexa makes them look like they’re CGI generated like in really high level games. Does that have anything to do with the series? It’s just they don’t quite look real, especially Eli. There’s a flatness to them that makes them look like characters in a game.
Ive not watched Arcane, but ive seen clips of it, so yes it is animated so im sure that was the look that Voiceplay was going for to match with the visuals of the show. And Arcane is connected to the game League of Legends.
I'm pretty sure that they were very deliberate in achieving a similar look and feel to the show... Props to Eli (and Layne too I think) on the video production! 🔥
8:44 That’s the first inaccurate thing you said throughout the video. That was actually Geoff continuing that high falsetto with a run. Listen carefully and you will hear the run. If that was AleXa, she would still do it in chest, since this is her “low” high range. This is Geoff’s HIGH HIGH range. That’s why it’s in falsetto.
It sounded more like AleXa's "low" high range to me, but if it was really Geoff, that was probably the highest note he has *EVER* hit! 🤯 (don't quote me on that lol)
He has hit higher than this. This was I believe a B4 to a C#5 all in falsetto. His highest note that he can hit is an A5. In VP videos, we have seen him hit an Eb5 in his mix range in the Queen medley. In the Little Mermaid Medley, he hit a D5. So yeah, Geoff is basically an alien.
