Most seomates tbh , she is kind of freezing cold or burning hot so thatvis why she restrains herself so much, even in 2010 she had her fake husband wrap around her finger and outsmarted him all the time in his pull and pushing game so his members loved her and Nayeon from wgm used to say , she wasnt a simple girl and was in constant awe of her.
Seohyun did the headvoice in Sweet talk. She nailed it. She also did a lot of ad-libs in the album. She’s the harmonization of the group, she's that QUEEN.
They actually don't all sing the choruses. Only 2 to 4 members do depending on each song and the tone they're going for. Check out divadream channel for snsd vocal analysis. They upload videos filtering who sings on the choruses. In OT9 it was mostly Taengsic or TaeSicSeo. In OT8 it's Taeyeon, tiffany, seohyun and sunny. There are exceptions of course but that's the general rule of thumb.
One Last Time is one of my fav side tracks from them. Gets me emotional every time. Holiday Night was such a good album. Shame SM screwed them over and didn't stock enough of it.
A lot of the dolphin notes and ad libs you pointed out were seohyun!!! She does at points hit notes like Taeyeon and was always vocally this good, I think over the years she just mastered her breath control and they’ve showcased her as second lead vocal more so in this album. my bias ❤️
This album really showed how amazing and phenomenal of a singer/vocalist Seohyun is. I loved how the dance line and Sunny got a chance to shine but for me Seohyun just stood out so much in this album. One Last Time, Love is Bitter and Light Up The Sky are my favorites.
This is my favorite Soshi album! Actually, it's hard to choose the best one from SNSD. EDIT: It's You was written by Yuri. Inspired from a fan letter 14 years ago. This is like her answer. :)
The high note in Sweet talk is Seohyun 😊 she did improve a lot but then she keeps working hard for that... It's an amazing, It's always such a pleasure to see her growth
Imagine if they trained her more vocally. She could have easily been a lead vocalist back but now she's basically a lead vocalist cause I know how much she loves to sing. She even said it herself that she loves singing. Same with Yuri. Yuri had that nice lower husky tone that sounding nice.
@@animecookies8784 Yuri and Sooyoung can support. Something that a lot of 3rd and 4th gen lead vocalist cant even do... For me, the only thing holding them from that title is how amazing their vocal line is 😂

Oh this album has so much! Holiday Night actually reminded me of their first album, the 'Girls Generation' album especially with tracks like Only One, It's You, and Light Up The Sky and I do quite remember seeing sones share the same sentiment back then. Plus there's like 4 fan songs in this album and that just made it extra special. Honestly if All Night was released now I'm pretty sure it'll be a hit. With all the retro/disco concepts in kpop right now All Night still stays as one of the best out there. If only you knew, Seohyun actually wrote Sweet Talk 😂. And it's funny that you liked Sweet Talk the best cause that's the only song that I skip in this album dhjdjdj. Yuri wrote It's You and she got inspired from a fan letter she received back then. I can't remember much of the details thou. I personally think Hyoyeon shined on this album, she got 2 songs where she got to sing the chorus, got rap verses, and lines that showcased her lower registers! I'm quite satisfied with that. With that said, all of the members really shined as well despite the line distribution. Sunny got to use her real voice, Yoona singing actual phrases instead of just a few words, Sooyoung and Yuri got prominent parts that wasn't just simple melodic lines, and TTS came through with their vocals! An S-tier album I must say.
I think those high notes at the background in Sweet Talk are more of them from SeoHyun, she improved a lot, that's why a keep saying you should react to her album, you will love it :3
This album hits different because it's like a dedication to fans before some of the members left SM. Also, the vocals in this album is just *chef's kiss* and the way they utilized Taeyeon's vocals, it hits so damn hard.
Yes Sunny slaying the back vocals will never not be my favorite of the song. Wish the lyric video reflected her backing the entire group especially the vocal line.

This is definitely one of my favorites korean releases, I have 5 favorite b-sides on this album: One Last Time, FAN, Sweet Talk, Love is Bitter and Light up the sky. Can't wait for your reaction to Yuri's album, it's so good!!! Still to this day I can't get over it, I want her solo comeback so muchhh
I love this album, it’s my favourite out of the ones I’ve heard from SNSD so far. Fan, Sweet Talk & Love Is Bitter are my favourites among the more upbeat tracks & One Last Time + Light Up The Sky are my overall favourites, because they just have that nostalgia and a ton of emotion. Both of them would be the perfect songs for the end of a concert. And I think around the time SNSD released this both of these songs were also seen as a kind of goodbye type song bc their contracts were up (it’s still the last group album to date). With that in mind these songs always hit differently for me. Loved listening to this album again along with you!
One Last Time hits pretty hard, especially knowing we have no idea when the girls will reconvene again. This album is just incredible. If this is the last one, they went out with a bang. I sure hope it’s not, and I don’t think the girls want it to be the last one either.
Yuri wrote the lyrics for “it’s you” which is specially dedicated to S♡NE who has been with SNSD throughout the years. She read a fan’s letter and decide to reply it through this song! And btw, seohyun is the one who wrote “sweet talk.”

Me too.. But then I personally feel that this song for Sooyoung, Seohyun, and Tiffany's departure from SM. Back then I played this song on repeat and cried in my bed after the departure news. 🤣🤣🤣
I am feeling soo nostalgic now,this was the last comeback for them as 8 and I really cherish this album Holiday and sweet talk were written by Seohyun & it's you was written by Yuri,Well Fan & light up the sky and it's you are songs for fans to describe how the relation between sones and snsd members was and it's still that way,I felt proud when I heard those songs for the first time and I cried because I have been a sone for more than 10 years now.
I can't wait for you to hear more of their Japanese work. It is so good! And arguably even better than Korean discography. Rain is one of the best songs they've had. Animal, reflection... Masterpieces!

I'm still recommending TTS's Dear Santa and Seohyun's Don't Say No album (no rush, just when you're ready and have time) 😂

I love Light Up the Sky so much, it makes me so emotional. Yes, it would be such a perfect ending song to a concert. I always imagined SNSD closing their concert with Light Up the Sky for a 10th anniversary concert tour. Except the concert never happened and then 3 of them parted ways with SM... When Taeyeon sings "until the end" it makes me so sad.
They'll always be Nation's Girl Group. Periodt. Love, love, love them so much! Btw, since you've been noticing Seohyun's voice, you might wanna listen to her solo album.

The Light Up The Sky & One Last Time mostly sone fav songs in this album The high notes on Sweet Talk was from Seohyun because she do mostly background vocal for sweet talk & she wrote that song. Since I've been listening and watching snsd for a long time, as I remember I've heard sooyoung doing flip voice a few times. She likes doing that. You should hear sooyoung & yuri duet song. It is old style song but if you want to see more vocals of yuri & sooyoung.. why not? 🤭

the girls came out with “all night” and the girls starting coming back with retro concepts, they have been other groups who have done it but as soon snsd did it, it was like wave.
Yes! I was so excited to see your reaction to this album. My favorite is also sweet talk! Maybe its the lyrics, the saxophone in the beginning, or the fact that Seohyun our maknae wrote it! Love is Bitter I usually only listen to it for Hyos chorus but its still a great song.
