I’ve recently completed my maths IA for math AA HL and this video was quite useful and did help me quite a bit so thank you for uploading this. Contrary to you, my IA was very much oriented towards physics (as I am an aspiring physics major) and not biology. I investigated the effect of damping on a mass spring system and used complex representation to then graph different functions of different forms of damping (interests me but I know it sounds boring to other people). Anyways thank you for the great upload, I’ve been enjoying your content as of recently and it is very useful.

Hey great video!! im taking math HL to (AIHL), and i have two topics in mind. Could you tell me which is better? thx TOPIC 1 -Finding the velocity of the shuttlecock upon a smash, and the angle of contact with the racket. TOPIC 2- Analyzing the Impact of Racket Dynamics on Shuttlecock Velocity in Badminton (seeing how smashes from different parts of a racket change velocity)

wait, so ur confused by the experiment and there is a big af error but u still got 7? Does the outcome count so much? Cuz im working on my phy is right now and the data are inaccurate, should i devote more time on the data or i should deal with an excellent conclusion and improvement of the experiment in the evaluation part?

I have a question. To calculate the surface area of the villus one should find the function to model the shape of the villus, and use the surface area integral formula to rotate 2pi radian about the y-axis to get the SA of a solid of revolution. You used integration to find the area under the curve and multiplied by 2. Did you assume that the villus was flat?

Yes, I assumed the villus was flat, because although they aren't really flat in live animals, the villi I measured were in fact flat. To be honest, I probably could have assumed them to be perfectly round, but I thought I would need to do some complex 3D integration (although your proposal makes a lot more sense, not sure what I was thinking), so I decided to stay away. Hope that explains it!
