Baby, you got GOOD TASTE!! lol Seriously! P1Harmony!?! SO PROUD OF THEM! (They remind me so much of my ults in all the beat ways. Hype af, they often like to do verses in a rap cadence while they use vocals in the chorus/hook/bridge, and they have also had to work hella hard to get ANYWHERE... Having JUST NOW received their FIRST WIN on a music show. Of course, that's over 3 years, whilst my boys were half that. But... that is actually a great example of THE difference in regard to them being from a smaller company. It comes with the territory, unfortunately. Truth is, small companies equal a much easier and often faster path to debuting, but it is much harder getting anywhere afterward. Big companies equal a much harder, MUSH more risky, and often much slower path to debut. But once they do, even the ones left to their own devices can at least make it relatively big so long as they deserve to. At the end of the day, one side struggles upwards individually, perhaps for a decade, behind the camera just trying to even get to debut. Whilst the other side struggles for all the world to see after debut. Constantly trying to prove that they are worth the effort, despite how obvious that is. Either way though, whether they be from a big label but were left to make it from there all but on their own, or from a small one and perhaps has to start below those who aren't nearly as good as them. And even if they finally do start to gain... the boy groups are ripped away just as they are starting to make it big for military service! Speaking of Seventeen (Sorry Carats! 😢) They are JUST AS BADASS! Seriously, best 3rd gen male vocals are in that group! (Hell, make that 3rd and 4th gen. I love my kids, and they are UNBELIEVABLE, but talent like that takes time. My kids haven't had the time yet, but they will get there.) I stand by that, too. They are amazing and deserve the world! And then, of course, my Ults of Ults, Stray Kids. I love them more than I have words. So, i will simply leave it at that. The thing about Super M is SM itself. When Lee Soo Min was still there, he had a thing about putting members of different groups together and having them debut. He did with an all male group that also included Baekhyun and a mixed group. I think it was 3 male, one female (i may be wrong on the numbers). And I think there was an all female, but I may be thinking YG for that one. And like you saw in the video, Super M is two members of EXO (Baekhyun, also leader of the group and Kai), two members of NCT (Taeyong and Mark), two members of WayV (Ten and Ex member Lucas) and last, but not at all least, and oldest of the group, Taemin. The only one of Shinee not in the military at the time (2019). What I find really interesting is you have 3 members of 2nd Gen and 4 members of 3rd Gen, and Super M is considered a 4th Gen group. Even though their debut song "Jopping" was in both Korea and America, Lee Soo Man wanted this to be their American debut. When the MV premiered, they held it at Capitol Records in L.A. and the guys then had a mini concert in front of Capitol and showed up to Ellen like the next day. BTW: For NCT and WayV fans. Yes, WayV is a 4th Gen group, but both Ten and Lucas debuted in NCT prior to WayV's debut in 2019. Ten debuting with NCT U (7th Sense, 2016) and Lucas in NCT U (BOSS, 2018). Just in case there was any confusion for someone. I hope this helped anyone who may have wanted to know.
