Well sorta. Audrina went through the idiot phase a lot longer than Jessica (I don't really know but I'm going by how long the shows are). Plus..Jessica was younger. I give Jessica a pass. I hate that Jessica was that way but I'm giving her a pass at that age.

When Stephen's dusty self brought Lauren flowers the next day after his dinner with Kristin at Red Lobster Ramiro's, all I could picture was Kristin drunkenly hollering "FEEEEUHHHHCKK YEAAUHHH STEPHEEEEEUN" at the bar in Cabo after he violated her with his misogyny. Lauren was and always is so beautiful to me ! She was literally my role model growing up, and even though there are some moments with her that I don't agree with , I actually find she was one of the nicest girls on the show she really never said purely hateful comments about people and I think that's why they picked her for the hills !

I agree. I think she came across like that which is why I liked her as well but of course we don’t know her personally but it’s how she was edited at least. Timmy seems to not really like Lauren for some reason. There’s probably some “tea” we don’t know. I could be wrong, but it comes across like he doesn’t or feels confused why LC was a fan favorite back then.

@@eg5171 What? LC wanted to be a designer her whole life, went to fashion schools, and did the hills to be a designer. So it didn't come out of nowhere to compete with Whitney. Whitney's clothes were extremely expensive for her demographic at the time in her OG line and she herself explicitly has said that she wishes she did a licensing deal like Lauren did with Kohl's.

How do fans know the dirt? Laguna Beach aired back when fan websites and fan clubs and fan forums were a big thing. The level of dirt digging on celebs you were obsessed with was next level. Perez Hilton was also a big reporter of the dirt those days and he reported via "sources" who were usually cast members themselves.

Yup! I remember the Laguna Beach tea that a Season 4 WAS filmed but canceled due to lack of storyline. They said Tessa moved to San Clemente, Breanna/Rocky back to BFFs, Cami/Kyndra redeemed themselves, etc. So it allegedly lacked the drama they wanted.

I'm just confused how she is one of the popular girls and she doesn't take. advantage of it like Kristin did. I figure she had to have some confidence to be that popular. Or maybe how pretty she was made her popular..I dunno. But I always think that Popular=High self esteem..so why did hers seem so low? I'm sure most of the guys would jump to date her. Stephen keeps Lauren close because he likes/needs her attention and devotion (which is understandable, it feels good to have someone around who has a huge crush on you). I think Lauren knows this but everytime he does the LITTLEST thing (aka show up with flowers&chocolate) she's like ok let me buy into this fantasy for a few moments because it feels so good. I've been on both sides of this story and it is ROUGH either way.

Speaking of wanting the best for Dieter, I went to SDSU and lived in the same dorm as Dieter our Freshman year and that dude had groupies with him everywhere he went. @@v.0624 I agree, but he was a teenager and might've not known he could've said no. I feel bad for both her and Kristin. I'm listening to Kristin and Stephen's podcast and a lot of their fights were due to these scenes that the producers created. A lot of the scenes were also fake.

Eating out of a tinfoil dinner on a plate” comment with $100 dollars in candles and mom upstairs had me dying and the cringe 🤣 I just want to say the confusion brought by how choppy the editing/scenes are is justified at least now you can piece things together based on interviews but back in the day when this was rolling it was sometimes hard to follow, so I understand the struggle. On a side note, I love Whitney’s skin it always looks amazing, I know you guys were talking about how dry it was there but her skin always looks flawless. Timmy is a rockstar on the guitar 🎸 lol

Actually..that's one of the things I really liked about her. Her friends were important to her..really important. Kinda reminds me (not really but you know what I mean) of Sam on Sex and the city...doesn't take the men too seriously but her friends..she takes them seriously.

I think Kristin plays up Stephen being into her to her friends cause she wants to be the cool unattached girl. I don't think she's in love with Stephen but she definitely finds a comfort in it and is jealous of him dating and hooking up with lauren. He isn't as into her as she makes out but that wouldn't make her cool.

I really felt the changes in the Mammoth Episode in the upcoming ones between LC and Stephen. You can see the look and acceptance that her and Stephen just isn't going to happen. Then, when he sees the difference in her, he opens up to the idea of them being together, when she's in San Fran. Then, he sees it, after he sees the vibe between her and Jason. I feel bad for Stephen this season. Last year, he was " The Man" in high school, and headed to college. Now, he's seeing the reality of high school being the best time of your life; and, that it's over.

They did cover the Matt breakup in a previous episode during the recap with Kristin’s voiceover. She said they were DUNZO as she snaps her flip phone shut at bowling. It’s mentioned again when Talan asks her about boys and Kristin rolls her eyes and says it’s not a thing anymore (this was during the lunch when she was wearing a strapless black too and a black hat)
