I never, EVER found Brody attractive bcs he’s such a cheesy line generator. I thought he was the same as spencer but just had the luxury of being better looking. He talks too much and it rarely makes sense.

There is something that I really think it is important to discuss about this episode. At one point Tim and Whit mention that all the girls in the show are beautiful but not over-produced. I believe this is part of the success of this show. These girls were using the real trends at the time (the jeans and ruffle tops, the eyeliner etc., the layered hair) that makes it fun to go back and watch it because this is what girls this age were using that time. I feel that if the show was made today, probably girls would be IMG models with professional production teams styling them and therefore less relatable. Personally I like to watch the show because it brings me back to that time and I can relate to the fashion etc. I do not necessarily like the drama and cat fight between women and this is why I preferred to watch The City, which was more about professional development. Thanks for posting these videos - it's really fun to watch! :)

Watching Jen, Heidi, and Lauren sit there eating Chinese and talking about Brody being arm candy makes me think of what they do to Lauren later in the season, all instigated by Heidi 😒... and now I want chow mein.

Whitney has the absolute BEST laugh. It is contagious & fills my heart with so much joy. I always loved Whit on the show because she was so non-confrontational and graceful, yet honest and witty. I never watched the hills because my family didn't have the channel it was broadcast on in my country, but I knew all the main players cause i used to read all the teen magazines. So I'm actually watching it for the first time with you two and it's literally the best thing ever. You're both so hilarious. I'm only on season 2 now but i think i need to go back to season 1 again since i watched only the shorter episodes on Facebook. Fun times! Thanks Whitney and Timmy!

honestly had a horrible, horrible day and ended up cracking up watching you too during this (and always). you two remind me so much of me and my boyfriend - the humour and back and forth and ongoing pretend extensions of conversations, in such a better mood. always try to make it to your lives because I end up sitting in bed absolutely crying with laughter. was dying at the scene with Brody and Lauren/your commentary! the hills and the city made me want to work in fashion in the first place, so funny now having this come full circle with the reactions. lots of love from London x

This is why I respected & loved Whitney on The Hills so much. She was/is super nice, professional, funny, stylish, and made the smartest calls regarding the show. Even if it was the producers who made those calls, I’m glad Whitney seemed to stay untainted by reality TV and down to earth throughout.
