it’s her best album, the songwriting, vocals, visuals, the transitions, the lyrics, an absolute masterpiece, all of Lana’s albums are good if not excellent but Honeymoon is perfection
honeymoon is actually very underrated in the fandom, i guess a lot of people don't get the vibe or the whole concept; the way the songs connect and create a bridge between ultraviolence and lust for life it's literally a masterpiece, and i love it
@@edensylvester13 i think if we take a look at lana's discography we'll be able to see how much she changed herself as time passed by and become more confident to accept love and find happiness see, born to die was her official debut as "lana del rey", but the woman elizabeth behind the persona was not only building a character into her music, she was using the platform to speak for herself and let us know how messed up her life and love experiences was back then and how she managed to deal with it the same pattern is seeing in the paradise ep, but with more metaphors and glamour build in it at ultraviolence era, her ability to tell stories and incorporate so much sarcasm, wordplay and irony within a lot references and analogies surrounded by real events was so mesmerizing and i think all of us got emotionally attached to her music and storytelling; with that album, lana is at her most raw and honest self. sharing the darkness she felt, or had related, in those toxic relationships and lack of self-love (or even happiness) then we transition to honeymoon, here we can see her realising that love (self-love, romantic love or religious love) is worth the pursuit and she seems ready to accept it she uses the word 'honeymoon' as almost a feeling instead of an experience, like she wants this so bad and she wants us to know that maybe that's the next step; she's not perfect, she still has a lot bad influences and people around her that provides a questionable meaning of what a healthy love relationship really is and she might not know how to do it... but it's there, the hunger is in her then we finally get to lust for life when she finally accepts it and starts to recognize that love is worth the trying she loves her fans, she is pursing self love, she is acknowledging her privileges and the happiness that she can experience in certain aspects of her life she uses the album to speak up about issues that has been making her feel worried and she tries to comfort the people around the world through her music; the album gives hope and honeymoon was the bridge that lead us to get here progressing to nfr, it's way deeper than any project... but that's for another comment hahaha hope you can understand, a big hug from brazil 💜
Fun fact about Terrence Loves You, she wrote it about David Bowie's brother after he took his life. It's like from David's perspective. So amazing 💖 And Salvatore is Adele's favorite Lana song
@@ameliablanckaert5397 it took me a while too ngl haha specially she using the bridge of the song to quote space oddity's famous line i remember spending like a month feeling the dumbest person on earth
@@rapmunsta3989 i just figured it was her talking about losses in music, after lou reed died she was definitely affected so I just guessed that it was a hint to the friendship between him, bowie and iggy pop
People are bitching about this album because of how good Ultraviolence is. They thought Honeymoon didnt match its success and decided it was a flop. But this is my second favorite after NFR.
Lana is the same as Taylor for me, I don't think either of them has projects I hate but each of their albums hit different whenever you hear them no matter what time you're listening. I'm looking forward to you listening Lust for Life and NFR, as well as all the songs she has on movie soundtracks.
By the way I still don’t know why Lana was never asked to write a song for a James Bond movie soundtrack because she’s literally the most perfect artist to do it. She did write songs for The Great Gatsby and Big Eyes movie soundtracks if you ever want to check those songs out.
Ik this is late but as far as I know she actually wrote 24 for the latest James Bond movie at the time! They picked a Sam Smith song instead, which I’m sure was a decent choice but 24 is just magnificent, idk how they passed on it.
don't let me be misunderstood is a cover the original song is by nina simone and that's my favorite song in the whole world lana did an amazing job covering this
FINALLY! After 13928486 years finally I found 2 persons with the same taste as me. Many people consider Honeymoon as a long unnecesary song but I love it.
Honeymoon slowly became one of my favorite albums! I'm really enjoying your reactions to LDR's disco. Can't wait to see you react to Lust for Life and NFR! New single comes out tomorrow!!!
This is the album that at first listen people are not used to the sound and think its too slow and then after few listens you hear them say it’s their most favorite Lana Del Rey album. Glad you enjoyed it! But Art Deco still hits me and gives me chills every time I listen to it.
On this series I read many comments saying you weren't going to enjoy this album because of how slow it was. I don't know if it's just me and my love for her artistry but to me thus album is fire, as I said, she has one of the best discography nowadays. I love Honeymoon, it is so clean, her vocals are on point and I want to smoke and slow dance to it. I'm ejoying this reaction sm!
Once you're done with Lana's discography PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE start Kesha's first to latest because even if you have heard some of her songs she has some hidden gems in every album that I feel like you would enjoy! (Plus I can't be the ONLY one who wants you to do Kesha)
@@yair9165 No it's false. She just said if she had to pick one of her music for a bond movie this one would be a good fit but she never said she wrote it specifically for a bond movie
I remember the rollout for this album. It's always been a top 5 Lana album. Probably top 3. I think we instinctively protect this baby but she gets love and recognition. Just not to the point of say NFR or Ultraviolence.
Please record your reaction to Halsey's live album 'BADLANDS From Webster Hall' !! The energy is MENTAL and her vocals have improved so much. The concert was from 2019 so you can really see how much she grew 4 years after BADLANDS 💜
Could you react to ZZ Ward? She's an alternative artist who combines blues and hip hop. She has worked with Kendrick Lamar and her lyrical content is similar to that of Lana Del Rey. ZZ's also got a very distinct and unique voice that I think you'll really like 🤗
