Yeah. Kraven kills a guy in a forest but is disappointed that he wasn't a challenge so one of his hunters shows him a list of targets that includes Spider-Man and Black Cat.
I like how you can see the signs of Peter getting affected by the symbiote in this trailer. His raspier voice, his anger, his lack of care for citizens, (telling Miles to save the people on the boat), throwing a man on the ground), the way he snatched the tracker off Miles and his selfish desire to save Lizard from Kraven not because it's the right thing to do but because it's to save his best friend.
It should also be noted that while stronger the symbiote makes peter so impulsive that he makes rookie mistakes, no way first game peter would've recklessly attacked the gunship without waiting for miles or at least formulating a strategy.
It's funny to think how much the 90's Spider-Man Animated Series has influenced future adaptations of Spider-Man. In the comics the black suit never affected Peter's behavior in a negative way or "corrupted" him and yet almost all future animated adaptations, games and even movies have used that cocept. Green Goblin also never has a second personality in the comics (which I still prefer) and yet the movies even used that as well (which I've always had mixed feelings about).
Well with the black suit in retrospect it makes sense to follow the animated way. It never corrupted him in the comics because Todd McFarland didn't wanna draw the classic suit and made up an excuse to change his look with no story thought or plans put into it at the time
Osborn absolutely DID have a split personality in the comics, it just wasn't as simplistic as "Norman good, Goblin bad". It was more "Norman is a evil, dangerous man, and the Goblin is an evil, dangerous CRAZY man." The line between the two personalities has also been varied between a sharp division to so fuzzy that it's more of a spectrum.
And it didn't make him stronger either. The symbiote simply offered 2 very handy features: it's own webbing (which never made him run out of his webfluid again) and quick change of clothing as the suit could change appearence to mimic any outfit. It's even funnier that the sole reason Peter got rid of it in the original story was after finding out the symbiote was actually a living being that got the wrong idea of what Peter wanted to do and started taking over his body to be Spider-Man while he slept. That creeped him out. It was trying to help him but the relationship became invasive and was more than what Peter was asking for between having a somewhat normal life and doing his superheroing. The symbiote only became resentful and hateful when Peter left it. The whole "symbiote affecting personality" has been going strong for a while now and gives more ground to explore cool stories. Things change and that's okay. I love what they have done with the black suit; there's an organic, almost liquid aspect to it in this one. You can actually see symbiote threads hugging Peter at places. Insanely cool
Looks like they've expanded the map to Queens and Brooklyn along with making some changes to Manhattan to so the passage of time. Avengers Tower is in the background but it looks a little different so I can see them making a few changes while also adding new buildings in Manhattan. Wonder how far we can actually venture out into Queens and Brooklyn. On the topic of Brooklyn I wonder if we'll see any nods to Captain America who of course grew up in Brooklyn. Maybe a statue of Captain America etc. Seems New Jersey isn't part of the game so don't expect any Miss Marvel connections but I'm excited to discover the Marvel landmarks again.
@@noirhacks just because they didn't show it doesn't mean it won't be there. It's clear they want to expand to areas beyond just Manhattan. If they're including Queens it's hardly a stretch to think they'd put in Brooklyn, especially since there's plenty of opportunities for Marvel easter eggs there
Depending on whether it works well or not, I can see Starfield to be the likely winner there (I'm not saying that as an Xbox fan, I don't even own one, getting the game on PC. I'm just saying: It's sci-fi Skyrim basically, right? As long as the release goes smoothly it's gonna be a hard one to beat).
I'm surprised this didn't include the intro scene with Kraven, because theres more they showed at the showcase. Also I love what they did with the symbiote, i'm glad it's got the tentacles and not just him being angry and stronger.

The fact that they just straight up show us the symbiote suit in action makes me wonder and be amazed at what they could possibly be hiding!! The suit and its powers give me very Web Of Shadows vibes! And since that game handled the black suit so well thats just great to see! Also in Miles' game we get calls from Peter saying he's moved in and renovating May's house in Queens so it'll be interesting to see it and swing around Queens for the first time in a Spidey game! Maybe even Brooklyn too!
Love how Yuri went for a combination of the voices of Christopher Daniel Barnes (90’s cartoon Spider-Man) and Josh Keaton (Spectacular Spider-Man) for his symbiotic voice
Oh how I wish I had a PS5 so I could play this when it's out. This whole trailer just looks absolutely phenomenal and I have so many questions and things I can't wait to see. Really excited for this series on your channel later on!
Ok, Peter's definitely gonna be a boss. 100%. You can hear it in his voice. It's not just seriousness. It's bloodthirst. The symbiote is completely altering his personality. Just like in the Spider-Man 3 movie. And when venom covered the "Together" in the "Be greater. Together", that's another sign of it I believe. We definitely will have to fight Peter.
There was a monstrous element to it all, with Lizard and especially Peter with the Symbiote suit. I'm hoping they keep it fresh like they did in the first two games, I'd like for Peter to become the antagonist, ultimately. Yeah, he had to use the suit to save Harry, but it exacted a toll
@Jak and Ratchet Now I heard Tony Todd is the voice of Venom, but I'm hoping it's the symbiote's voice once it's taken over and not them shoehorning Eddie Brock into an already antagonist filled story, we had this already with Spiderman 3, and we all remember how that went. I'd like a story of the symbiote moving to several hosts during this game, maybe even Harry, just NO Eddie.
@@nedzed3663 if Harry does die the symbiote will need to latch onto someone else. If they introduce Eddie somewhere throughout the story they could set him up to be venom in the next game. I highly doubt they'd kill off the symbiote
@Angel Aguilar Well, we know very little at the moment. From the gameplay, it looked like Peter needed the symbiote almost as a last resort to help him take out Kraven's guys and track down the Lizard. He appears to already know what it is he's wearing and that it "has teeth" according to what he told Miles at the end if the video. Maybe he's already come into contact with it before in this continuity, and a similar thing was the case in the Web of Shadows game way back on PS3/360, hell, Shattered Dimensions managed to have Peter, or another version of him, wearing the symbiote costume with no Venom anywhere in the game. But I don't think that'll be the case in this game, Venom will probably be shoehorned into the game, like he's always shoehorned in whenever the black costume is even hinted at in the story. My hope is Insomniac will add their own twist like they did in the original games with Doc Oct, Aunt May dying, how Miles was introduced, the Tinkerer etc, to where it won't feel shoehorned in. If anyone can do it, I'm confident in Insomniac being up to it
@@nedzed3663there's a huge difference between a video game and a movie though. With a movie, you're fitting everything into a 3-3.5 hour span at max (and that's a long max), but with games, you can fully flesh out the story across hours and hours of play so that it all makes sense and everything gets a wrap. Spiderman 3 didn't work because, really, the time. If they made it longer and fleshed out the characters and plot in that expanded time, the movie wouldn't have been as bad. A game simply doesn't have the time restraints a movie has, so you can put more into it and even have it make more sense than a movie version
If you notice Mile's Spidey sense didn't go off when pete came crashing threw the ceiling because he can't detect the symbiote, like from the comics. Plus the way pete just threw that guy down with no care. This game gonna be badass!!
Things to do before Spider-Man 3 if you haven't done them: Load up the Remastered game, 1 Go to Turf Wars, finish the Hardy paintings 2. go to Silver Lining, finish the recordings side quest That's about all you need, otherwise some things in the third game will g o right overy our head.

Ever since I've played PS4 Spider-Man, he became my favorite hero and I've fallen love with the Spider-verse. Because I've enjoyed that game so much, I have high expectations for this one! I will buy a PS5 for this game! I hope there will be a Spiderman Bundle!
Game looks amazing! As far as going into the residential areas, super important for expansion, and I hope that we get to see the whole city this time. One thing I didn't even notice in the first game as I was playing it was that that wasn't even the entire city, it was just Manhattan. It took me until Miles Morales to figure that out when they were in Harlem. I thought Spider-Man PS4 was the entire city, it was only one borough. Granted, if we see the whole city this time, we won't have anything left for 3, but I hope we get more boroughs and far bigger expansion!
Definitely game of the year. I had a feeling that Harry is going to be Venom or maybe, I had no idea that Peter has the symbiote suit, and I believe Norman is going to be the Green Goblin because from the first game at Oscorp you can see a helmet and some equipment in the lab, if Peter goes berserk with the symbiote, I hope Miles can save him
Now THIS is what I’m most excited for! This is what we’ve all been waiting for. I’ve actually been playing Spider-Man and Miles Morales back to back to prepare for this trailer alone, and seeing it after playing so much of both Spider-Man games…This trailer is everything I could’ve hoped for and more! That twist at the end of the trailer though, I was not expecting that! I’m already anticipating something that I’m almost certain is gonna happen, but I just can’t wait to see how! Either way, every character looks amazing, and I’m excited to see which route the storyline goes in. Have to say, I also had a feeling we’d visit elsewhere other than Manhattan Island. Had a feeling we’d be taken to Queens. I can go on forever on how excited I am! Fall can’t get here soon enough…and I still need to get my PS5 😅 I think this is the most excited for a game I’ve been in a little while, and I’ve been excited for quite a fair share. Already excited to see you play this when it arrives!
Excitement levels … overloading. This has taken the what the first game(s) put into place and just upped the ante. The black suit in this looks sick. Even this said Fall 2023, I want his game … like now. I'm gonna be making sure that this will dropping to my channel also. Cause missing Marvel's Spider-Man 2, not an option. I'll be sure to catch the playthrough as well.
Pete’s voice is raspier with venom, his behavior is changing, and somewhat careless with tossing the human on the floor/his lack of care and miles showed anxiousness to it.
Peter sounds scary. Not just angry and hateful. He feels like someone who is just minutes away from completely abandaning his morals, which is VERY frightening considering how strong his moral compass usually is.
That is the cool thing about time, if you are bored, 10mins will feel like an eternity, but if you are enjoying yourself, like we both were, it will feel like no time at all.
Anyone else hope they actually let us keep the Venom suit the entire game this time instead of making us give it up before the final boss, like in the third Tobie Macguire movie's tie-in game?

Not going to lie it kind of disappointed they relied so heavily on the Symbiote, traditionally it just gave Peter enhanced strength, and ruthlessness. A nessicary evil until he couldn't control it, then it is transfered to Eddie Brock who has the tendril and super abilities, because Eddie Brock is supposed it be jacked AF it reacts differently. Kind of like how Cletus Cassidy is Carnage and a totally different ethical dynamic and set of Symbotic abilities together. Series is shifting toward a fantasy action setting

The suit Pete has on is messing with his head so my prediction is that miles has to fight Pete to take off that suit and then venom comes in to the play
