Reacting to MLB Uniform Concepts! Ft  

This was the first time I tried to record a video like this. What you see in this video is exactly what Auddie saw when we filmed. All done in one take live with no editing in post. It's not perfect and there are things I need to tweak moving forward like audio levels and video adjustments, but I am fairly pleased with this approach as it will allow me to easily have guests on in an interactive way. Please let me know what you think of it, and thank you in advance for your patience as I try to work out the tweaks from this point on!

The red in the Dodgers jersey is probably a reference to the red baseball in the primary/secondary (not sure which) logo or the ed numbering on their jersey.

Love the Boston Red Sox jersey. From the cap to the long-sleeve navy blue undershirt, to the belt, to the red stockings, to the cleats... Bring the Dodgers back to Brooklyn!! Dodger Blue is absolutely stellar! Tampa Bay Rays is horrid! It seems as though I'm drowning in the Gulf of Mexico... Arizona D-backs jersey is not much better than that of Tampa-St. Pete, but this time in the sandstorm of the Sonoran Desert of The Grand Canyon State. And no drinking water in sight! Thanks, Alex, good job.

Totally agree with this designer. I am an interior designer. There is simply not enough color. The uniforms all need more color and need to quit having just two colors. Every good design comes in odd numbers. So you need a minimum of three colors. They got it right with the Cardinals being at Number 1. But they clearly don't understand excitement and color. I think almost every franchise could use better jerseys. But I love love love the fact that the Cardinals added the powder blue away jerseys. I wish they would make them permanent away jerseys though. They also brought back the "St. Louis" label across the chest with the cream jersey for Saturday Home games. The only thing is instead of the small striping, I'd rather they bring back the late '40s and '50s Cardinals stripe style. They are a big bolder. And bring back the 50s hat which was really dark Navy with the bird on the cap. I also think the Rays should incorporate a bit of green into their uniform. That ties in their past and it would look great with the blue. That's the missing element they need. I love the Seahawks uniform. I hate white pants with a colored shirt. I wish teams would keep the shirt and the pants the same but go with a cool color. So the Rays should go all Navy with light blue logo and med green striping. The Brewers already have Navy and yellow. So the Rays need to go Navy and light/med green. I actually loved the Rays '70s throwback jerseys. I'd have to say those were my favorite jerseys ever in the history of baseball. I went out and bought the whole thing immediately. The Marlins jersey is terrible. They need to go back to the glory days with the beautiful aqua/teal, but just incorporate some orange in that. But that new jersey sucks. D'backs just need to rethink everything. A's is the 2nd best franchise ever in terms of color. So they simply need to go back to the '70s, minus the stupid white shoes. I have always hated Chicago and New York teams, so I don't care what they do. But hands down, the White Sox have always had the worst uniforms in baseball. The untucked '70s uniform was the worst ever, but they've all been bad. They should just go back to the old days of all black. I think the Tigers too have always had boring jerseys, but they are a traditional team, so go back to the 20s style. The Padres definitely made a great choice going back to their old colors, but they need to go all in. Go back to the '70s stuff. Pirates, same thing, minus the sailor hats. Orioles, same thing. 70s were great. Royals have the powder blue shirts but they need powder blue pants too. Twins should go back to the '60s style. Nationals are just terrible. They need a real logo of their own. They should have red, white, and blue uniforms and go really funky. Rockies should go all purple for home games and all black for road games. Both with a lot of silver striping. Red Sox should go back to 1975 to celebrate Fisk's homer. The Brewers have some pretty cool jerseys. They've done a pretty nice job through the years going back to the 80s and having a lot of alternatives. The reds, however, have not had good alternative jerseys. I think they should go all the way back to the beginning since they were the first franchise. The Mariners have great colors with the teal and navy, but you need three. You always design with an odd number of colors, either 3 or 5. So they should add lime green to the mix. That would sort of pick up on the Seahawks and give that teal and navy an incredible pop. They go from one of the best uniforms to everybody's favorite overnight. But bottomline: The Cardinals and A's have by far the best jerseys in baseball.

Down here in Pittsburgh, most of the Red Sox fans are between 20 and 34 years of age. I dont know a single baseball fan that’s inlove with the sport in Pittsburgh that doesn’t own a either a Bucs cap or a Sox cap.

Finally! An MLB concept video!!! Awesome work done by Alex! My rankings: 1. STL - I’m going to call this dude Ozzie Smith since he magically created this awesome Cards concept! 2. MIL - I’m a sucker for these “new” Brewers jerseys and this concept emulates that. Love it!!!! 3. HOU - This one is awesome! Love the number in the star too! 4. PIT - I absolutely love this jersey! I’d change the body logo to a number, perhaps. 5. MIN - Heck yeah! Powder blue! 6. CHC - Yes I know there’s not much that can be done for the Cubbies. That being said, this looks extremely classic and awesome. 7. SEA - That logo is awesome. Agree with the guys that if the jersey wasn’t pinstriped this would be better. But I love it anyway. 8. OAK - If the pants were white or yellow, this would easily be my favorite. 9. CIN - I love the wordmark and jersey/pant colors. Not a huge fan of the hat logo (give me Mr. Red!) 10. TB - This is really bold. I think if the pants were navy and the “TB” on the jersey had white or something then this would pop. I actually like this. 11. SF - It’s nice! It’s a bit too creamy for me. 12. SD - I love the yellow & brown. But that grey breaks it up in the pants too much. 13. AZ - Wow this is bold. The wordmark gets me lost a little bit, but other than that, these colors should be used more often! 14. ATL - The more I look at it, the more it grows on me. If the background wasn’t red, I’d have a better feel for this. 15. KC - It’s simple but it’s nice. 16. PHI - It’s nice, don’t get me wrong. But it doesn’t contrast enough for me. 17. NYY - I get there’s not much that can happen with the Yankees. But I would’ve veered more white than gray. 18. WSH - That hat...🤤. But that’s about it 🤷🏻. 19. CWS - I get where this is coming from. But I’m getting Cleveland vibes from this one. 20. LAA - Not too shabby. If it was a white, this would be very nice. 21. TOR - I think the powder blue is too dark. I don’t mind the striping. 22. TEX - Powder Blue...but meh. But the Rangers are meh. So...meh? 23. BOS - It’s definitely different & classic looking. The hat I don’t really like though. 24. BAL - I love the color scheme, that’s the only reason this isn’t last. Can’t see the wordmark! 25. NYM - The Blue is too dark and it’s their road wordmark. Being a Mets fan, this is a no for me. 26. MIA - Meh. Bring back Florida! 27. CLE - They should rename themselves to the CleveBLAND Indians. I was hoping for something much different. 28. COL - I’m getting 90’s hockey jersey vibes from this and I can’t think otherwise. Oof. 29. DET - I don’t know if it’s the contrast or not, but that dark blue and orange just doesn’t do it for me. 30. LAD - The red doesn’t really work if it’s too much. It has been used in the number before, but not everywhere.

As a cardinals fan I have to nitpick the Jersey looks clean but anyone who knows anything about baseball knows about the cardinals Cubs rivalrie and that Jerseys colors are the chicago flag and that's just a turn off for me but if u would do something similar with the Cubs Jersey I think it would look pretty slick Sepretly those hats are not good

Coloured pants is for softball. Baseball wears only white or grey pants. In my opinion uniforms with coloured pants just don’t look good

I’m from Cincinnati and a massive Reds fan, so I’ll give a few thoughts on its concept 1. You could never get away with anything but the wishbone C on the regular uniform cap. It’s sorta like the Habs or Wings where you can’t have another crest on the front of their jerseys. People always forget that the Reds are older than most of the other teams everyone likes to say are historic and classic. I do like the white bill, red top, and white logo though 2. The Reds have used the script font but usually only on a red jersey, not on the gray or white ones. I think it works well here if the piping is minimal like there. 3. Love the sleeves being a different color than the rest. The jerseys the Reds has like those in the 90s and early 00s are some of my favorites. 4. This is more so just my opinion - I would love to see pinstripes back on the Reds jerseys. I miss them. Overall though, good design, all I would really change about this concept is the logo on the cap.

I’m a nats fan and did you see the right sleeve do you know what patch was there! Well enough bragging I I disliked the pence should have been wight if the Washington script logo had the American flag in it like the w American flag logo it would have been a lot better and also a white outline

Yikes...I love these jersey concept videos, but these were pretty bad. I appreciate wanting to be creative and bold, but I don’t think there was one concept on this list I could’ve rated over a 5. In terms of baseball uniforms, I think the designer went way overboard on the two-tone hats, dark colored pants, and placed strange emphases on certain colors for certain teams (ex. red with the Dodgers). These videos are fun and lighthearted and I love to see other peoples’ different takes and ideas...but this one ain’t it chief.

These colorways are almost too bold. Original players weekend type vibes. You should check out @HippoVaughn on twitter’s mock ups. They’re more realistic and extremely well done

Great video and great concepts but the pants freaking sucked. This isnt baseball. The colours r definately hockey colours but white grey pants are a must in baseball, may be able to do black but I did like the jerseys. Yankees made me puke tho tbh

Nothing beats Houston with the bright orange vertical stripes the concept was not good. The Dodgers looked out of place too much red needed more white the Cards come on the word Cardinals should be red and that would make it much better along with red strips with the blue on socks, again the hat should have red STL and red shoes.. So Chicago looks the same what is the big deal boring.. The Padres look so bad much better with the brown looks like the Canaries the fighting yellow birds LOL.. The Rockies look like what a jockey would wear in the derby sad.. Chicago White Sox not red, white, blue SOX I wonder if this person took in the history of baseball before just making jerseys..
