Yep, and it’ll give ownership a reason not to spend any money in free agency. Too bad they have no pitching. Grayson should be a stud, but that’s yet to be determined with his up and down performances. Hopefully his last outing is more of a harbinger of what’s to come. They still need starting pitching, and they’ll have to sign some arms since they haven’t developed many. But yes, hats off to the o’s farm system as a whole, it’s undeniable.
Yeah, the owner is going to kill that great vibe the front office has provided with the farm system! They won't pay the young players a bigger contract!
Grayson Rodriguez is going to be 100% fine. This is the first time in his career he has ever come across adversity he’ll make the adjustments and he will succeed.
I love the Owen Caissie respect. He was striking out a lot at the beginning of the year, but is putting on one of the best 20 year old or younger seasons in AA this century.
Joey Ortiz is an elite defender at SS and has great bat to ball skills. His ceiling is limited with the lack of power, but he's definitely a great prospect.
17:17 Mayer has had comically bad BABIP luck in Double-A so far, and it’s been documented that he was playing through injury during a large part of his AA stint. Not worried about him at all.
yea i’ve be trynna to people this also .2220 BABIP and a shoulder Injury playing through i’m not worried now next year if this happens then it’s time to worry
I’m not worried about Mayer cause every prospect goes through this but the Red Sox have him Anthony teel Rafaela in the top 100 also got yorke and bleis just outside
The numbers for Orelvis this year are a little misleading. He hit like .090 in April, but since then has been a different hitter. He’s still very much power over hit, but his approach has improved significantly. He’s 100% earned his way back into the top 100 conversation this year
His younger brother looks like he could be an amazing power hitter in the mlb eventually..All depends on his strength training and upping his bat speed. (Which is insane for his age)
the fact that PCA and Caissie are as high as they are and are STILL underranked as hell is amazing. PCA being outside the top 10 is baffling, especially now that he's hitting up over .300 in AAA and getting on base with some power to go along with it. and of course his 80 grade defense in center
Seems like some bias in this list to prefer younger “rising fast” players instead of “who is the better player right now”. Like with the 17 year old being in the top 5. We can all agree he’s playing out of this world at 17, but if he was 21 he would be ranked in the bottom half of this list with those stats.
It's insane that the Orioles have promoted 4 top prospects in Grayson Adley Gunnar and Westburg, AND THEY STILL HAVE THE BEST SYSTEM IN BASEBALL with the top prospect in Holliday
I was a little shocked Connor Norby didn't make Pipeline's top 100 this go-around. The Orioles system is that good that Norby & DL Hall & Bradfield Jr. didn't quite get there. The future is bright in Birdland.
Carson Wisenhunt pitched for ECU with Gavin Williams. Was a year younger but still on that team that played Vanderbilt in the super regionals and lost 1-0 when Gavin Williams pitched against Jack Leiter
Lifelong Tigers fan - happy about our representation on the list. and for SOME reason, I've always liked the Orioles, and I'm really happy they're playing well, and have so much really great young talent coming up this year and through the pipeline in the near future.
I'll say for Orelivs that his eye has gotten better at the plate this year. Walk rate is up about 6%, K rate was down 8% in AA compared to last year, but his K rate has gone back up 8% in AAA. He's still only 21 and has a lot of power and he looked a lot better in AA this year than last year. I'm sure next year in AAA we will see a similar improvement to what we saw in AA this year.
Good video Marc, minor league content is something I need as a fan of a bad team. A little perspective on Veen, he’s been out since June with wrist surgery for an issue he’s had since last year, and you can see the effect it had on his power, so hopefully he’ll be ready to go next year. I still believe he can be solid, and he is an absolute demon on the base paths
Pfaadt got blown up in his first two stints but has looked a lot better (not perfect) lately. Strikeout numbers are very promising and he could absolutely develop into a very solid starter.
The recency bias is so crazy lmao MLB pipeline isn’t consistent enough for me to take it seriously , they are also bias against entire teams a lot , my team happening to be one of them. They are never accurate with us. Basically they are good at the top 3 and that’s it.
Mayer has also been dealing with injuries, I think when he gets back to full health he’ll show that he is still a top 6-8 level prospect. Imo he’s a better prospect than lawlar and Merrill despite the struggle
Did you say Luciano should be in the 60-70 range?!?!?!?!? LMAOOOOO He was a top 10 prospect 2 years ago and he hurt his back but then he came back and worked his way all the way to Triple A with a high avg, obp, power and ops, got called up this year to the majors and they sent him back down not because of performance but they wanted him to learn 2B so he can play there since Crawford is back healthy. So 27 is actually blasphemy in itself to go from top 10 to the 30’s and do all that work and still be 27?! He should be top 15 easily.
As a Mariners fan, especially if we think that big dumper can consistently hit for great power, and play good defensively at catcher unless we think Harry Ford can move to a different position, which is very likely I would consider possibly trading him, especially if you can maybe use him to get your way out of the Robbie Ray contract because if we do that, I think we have a very real chance of getting Ohtani that extra money could be the difference also, I must say especially with how fantastic we are at developing pitching. I think that Castillo trade is going to look really bad a few years from now because he has looked kind of bad recently and I’m still extremely high on Edwin Arroyo and Marte hell even Williamson, another prospect we gave has looked really solid so far for the Reds
Keep an eye on Anthony solometo. I only know him bc he’s a friend of mine but he’s super hard working and has a ton of talent. He’s been tearing it up in A and AA this year and he’s only 20. Dude has a bright future so long as injuries don’t slow him down
I think Marc needs to review Edwin Arroyo again, sturggled at the start of the season. Ever since than, lights out, pop, speed, XBH, fielding, hes playing like a top 30 prospect as of late. He has had an over .360 OBS in each of June, July, and August, and over the last 30 days, .412 OBS and slugging .569 with 17 XBH. He's gonna be great.
I know he's already been in the majors for 2 months but Patrick Bailey is just amazing. Dude already feels like a superstar and in a big market like the giants that's kinda crazy.
I don’t think he should be top 100 but I don’t get why there is such a big gap between Zac Veen and Robert Hassell lll. They were both - Back to back picks in 2020 out of high school - Good Speed and Defense - Hit over Power profile - Veen had his season cut short to injuries and struggled in AA - Hassell is recovering from a Hamate injury which generally takes a while to fully recover from but has struggled in AA Currently Veen sits at 100 while there is 4 prospects in the Nats system alone ahead of Hassell that aren’t too 100
I think I read something a while back from Pipeline that they were more concerned about Hassell’s lack of power, plus a good showing at the AFL last year probably boosted Veen’s stock
What’s up with MLB pipeline’s measurements? Got PCA at 5’11? Mayer at 6’2? Wood at 6’6? A lot of players are listed 1-2 inches shorter than they actually are
Josue De Paula is a name to look out for. He’s already top 5 prospect in the Dodgers system (he’s 6th on pipeline) he’s 18 in low A but should rise pretty fast.
@@HeadEnterprise The Nats would not have won a World Series with him in 2019. His departure opened the door for Soto. Harper also was the last out of the 2017 season for the Nats. He had his chances.
Biased Dbacks fan, but I’m high on Lawlar and Jones. But also James Wood. I’ve been buying his cards since he came out in 2022. I especially have been trying to buy his stuff lately before they skyrocket.
He didn't get hurt in early July he got hurt last year after the Futures game. He was trying to play through the injury in the hope of getting called up this year. He got surgery on his left wrist and is done for the year. That's why his numbers for the last year or so have been low.
Everyone talks about how loaded the Rangers farm is, but they only have 2 in the top 20 and then nothing until the bottom. Hopefully Carter is everhting everyone says he's gonna be
yeah but they have guys with crazy talent just off the list, that could easily climb back in the top-50 with minor fixes in the off-season like Leiter Rocker and Gutierrez
Yeah he got hurt last year, he's done for this season after getting left wrist surgery, that's why his numbers have been low, he was trying to get called up this year and was trying to play through the pain.
wasnt exactly snubbed but i think roman anthony is like having decent enough numbers against lefties to be top 15 and i think he should very easily be top 30/25
He started the season hitting around .360 and it’s just been going down since, so it’s more he has stopped hitting the cover off of the ball and came back down to earth a little.
