REACTING TO NINTENDO DIRECT - June 18, 2024 

Honestly such a breath of fresh air to see someone not discredit/insult games that are slightly not their preference. A lot of these games I am not the target audience for, but I can respect and acknowledge that the more diverse the games are the better it is for us consumers.

Metroid Prime 4 is the highlight for me.. I've been looking forward to that for soo long. 🔥 And the new Zelda game with her as a lead is nice too. 🙌 Also Dragon Quest 3 remake looks pretty good as well with the HD 2D graphics (like the Octopath games). Overall Pretty solid direct so far. 💯

"Is it the first time that you play as Zelda". Canon-wise, yes. You could play as Zelda on Hyrule Warriors (Age Of Calamity) which is a prequel to BotW but not considered to be canon.

The chat telling you Mario & Luigi is not like Paper Mario gave me cancer. YES, the Mario & Luigi franchise IS like Paper Mario. Many of the devs that worked on the originals actually worked on the original Super Mario RPG (including the original directors and composer), and the Mario & Luigi games are turn-based RPGs with the same Action Command system that the earlier Paper Mario RPGs have. They also have the "Metroidvania" complexity with their overworld, where the game will actively tease you with puzzles you'll have to come back to and solve once you've progressed further into the game and acquired the right ability.

Lol super Mario RPG came out way back on the super Nintendo.

46:13 now that’s *Spectrobes* and there is 2 games on DS and one on Wii… think of it as a mix of pokemon, pokemon ranger & being an archaeologist at the same time… *you like some kind of space ranger travelin to different planets in outerspace* and you be a whole archaeologist digging out the pokemons (but they called Spectrobes) and bringing them to life from they fossil forms & you even dig out the food they eat to level up and evolve (minerals) also some you have to fight off the evil monsters (called krawl) & they travel in tornadoes 🌪️ and they are planet eating creatures 😅 but them purple tornadoes are their most common form of traveling throughout outer space and on/around any planet

FANTASIAN neo dimension is a enhanced port of an Apple Arcade game that finally out of that service… it includes voiceover in English and Japanese which the original game didn’t have… and also difficulty options again the original didn’t have this… it comes out not only on switch but ps4,ps5, xbox series x and s and PC this winter

They won't announce the Next Gen Nintendo until sometime between Jan 2025 - March 2025

Metroid and Zelda look absolutely amazing. Mario Party looks great too, and I'm super happy for Mario and Luigi fans. Other than that, the direct was pretty mid for me.

24:38 Perfect Dark (2000) was a spiritual successor to GoldenEye (1997) both developed by Rare. Perfect Dark allowing the studio to create their own IP that just happens to be a spy game but this time with a cool cyberpunk setting and a female protagonist.

You might not be familiar with it but you should play Danganronpa one day!! Its not that long, it just depends on how long and fast you play it 💯

It is me again with another huge comment, but I wanted to give you some backstory to Metroid Prime 4 and the series as a whole so you can understand how hype it is to see it in this direct for us long-time fans. For more context, the Metroid Prime series of video games holds a very special place in my heart. I played the original Metroid Prime back in 2003 or so when it was on the Nintendo GameCube and it impressed upon me an assortment of factors and qualities that make me the gamer I am to this day. I played through the game countless times over the years. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes came out in 2004, also for the GameCube, and it quickly became my favorite of the trilogy. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was released in 2007 for the Wii and it blew me away with its updated visuals and motion-controls. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption has a MASSIVE story cliffhanger and the fans waited for years to see if Nintendo would ever make a follow-up. It wasn't until ten years later, in the summer of 2017, at the now-defunct E3 presentation, that Nintendo announced and revealed a teaser trailer for Metroid Prime 4 being in development on Nintendo Switch. This was seven years ago as of this year. In early 2019, Nintendo had released an update video regarding Metroid Prime 4, and told us that they had to restart development with a different studio, as the studio chosen prior wasn't creating the game that Nintendo envisioned. Thankfully, this new studio that took over the helm was none other than Retro Studios, the developers that created the original trilogy in the first place. Thus, this announcement was a bittersweet moment in the development cycle of Metroid Prime 4, but I welcomed it all the same because I knew Retro Studios would make the game right. After this, there was nothing but silence. Complete and utter silence. No mention of the game. No acknowledgement of its development. Nothing. Nothing from early 2019 until June 18th, 2024, where the game has finally been fully revealed in a nearly two minute trailer! I am so ecstatic and excited that this game is finally seeing the light of day! So now you have an idea of just how HUGE this reveal is. Us fans have been waiting SEVENTEEN YEARS for this game and it looks like we may have to wait one more depending upon when it comes out in 2025, provided no delays happen. This is a truly special moment for Metroid Prime fans!

Probably the first Zelda game I won't be picking up. I play those games to play as Link. Oh well.
