REACTING TO SEASON 9 OF THE NEXT STEP (E16) 

Eldon's writing here with him constantly trapped in the past and always talking about his team and what they did to the point of being mean the this team feels like a reflection of the fandom tbh😂

I like that they're making Anthony a lot more likeable this season

In my opinion, Pete is really standing out as a senior dancer. Every dance he's in, I feel he stands out, especially in the 9b opening dance. I hope he's featured at Internationals. No full team again...giving me season 7 vibes. Completely agree about the auditions, they need to give an explanation why some dancers are just cut from potential feature dances! Heath for example, so under utilised, it's a shame.

i like how they have like an eldon figure throughout the series in Gen 1 it was Eldon Gen 2 it was Noah and now in Gen 3 i feel like they are setting it up to be Anthony which i really like

Season 9 tns writers be like: Yeah you know your bro Eldon. The man the myth the legend... Yeah, lets make him suck this season.

I think everyone needs to give Anthony and Adele some grace… this is Adele’s first season and Anthony very much likes her and Adele kinda likes him back… it’s just kinda awkward to watch because they are both young teens… they aren’t James and Riley who had 3 seasons of development leading up to their final dance at Internationals… they just haven’t been given development yet since Adele’s introduction episode in episode 3… i personally think they are really cute based off of how similar they are… they are both quite reserved and kinda disciplined but show a silly side to each other ❤️ I hope Season 10 progresses on them and we see more of them together ❤️

Imagine if they brought back bangers and mash ups with Henry Kingston and Ozzy

I really want there to be a bit where Anthony is really stressed with maybe coreographing alone and has something like a pannic attack or something like that and Nick sees and finally stands up to Eldon, who raises he went to far taking his anger out on a child

Pete and Jett definitely had the best duet out of the pairings! The way they were sync with each other was really fun to watch and there was a really good flow to their duet once they sorted out their connection. I thought Ebby and Niall’s duet was okay but lacked a bit of energy from the start. And while I love the chemistry between Anthony and Adele, their duet felt a bit underbaked with the lifts feeling a bit too safe and the bench prop felt a bit interrupting but the potential is definitely there. They’re definitely setting up Kenzie’s future and that scares me because I’m not ready for her to go. She’s the last thread of the previous A-Troupe. I still hope she chooses Internationals before deciding on going to audition on tour with Freya. She led her team to Nationals and now Internationals so it would suck if she didn’t actually participate in it. I’d rather she decide on her future after Internationals is over. But they’re definitely setting up the seeds with both her and Ethan (in the last episode with Piper) leaving and I’m so not ready to lose them yet.😭 The Eldon and Anthony drama was juicy. I actually think it’s definitely in character for Anthony to snap because he does that a lot when he bottles up his emotions. A bit of a nice parallel with Olive snapping at Ariana for both the solo and betrayal but I’m glad they made up quickly. But I knew Eldon was gonna take him off the duet! He’s so petty! Lmao! This definitely made me question further in what on earth is going on with Eldon but episode 17 perfectly explains his behaviour and I can’t wait to see your reaction to it. And the upcoming return of Michelle!😁 The Nick and Olive scene was nice too. Not a bad episode but the next episode is definitely better.

I’m really interested if they will show clips of other countries dancing at internationals, because they did show quite a few different countries dancing for the home field advantage whilst the globe was spinning. So I really hope they don’t deprive us of them when internationals starts, cause otherwise it won’t really feel like internationals if it was just Canada and France shown 😅

I got mad when I was watching this episode and at the end Eldon cut Anthony from the duet but now I understand why he did it because of episode 17

3 things: 1. I feel like this is the second time in a row where the first half of the season is really good and is showing promise and the second half is more messy, I can cut S8 some slack since it's a new A troupe with less eps to work with but not S9. 2. I think this is the 1st time this season that Nick has talked to a new A trouper 1 on 1 and not in a group and said something of real substance. 3. What Eldon did to Anthony and Adele was pure SPITE and I don't recall him ever being spiteful and I'm very tempted to call it character assassination even with what happened next ep, but I'll speak on that on the next video.

Eldon, we know you... If you don't like someone, just dance battle them already. I mean, you're perfectly fine with doing that, as we have experienced.

Eldon has been so insanely immature I can't believe at his grown age he's acting like he's still a teen. I am so excited to see your reaction to the next episode, though, I have many thoughts about Eldon.

Sidenote, I wish CBBC would work a lil more to get TNS in the US somewhere. It sucks not being able to watch new episodes easily.

i agree like why wasn't everyone considered for the duet, it's so not fair like if i was heath, and i was the most senior male on a troupe, id want to be considered to either be the soloist or be considered to be in the duet, like they won nationals bc of his contribution with daisy's duet too. eldon was sooo pissing me off until ep 17 i just couldn't understand but i guess ep 17 explains more about why he's like that so not too mad abt it in a way. i definitely think they should have said who Freya is like imagine being a Canadian viewer and not knowing who Freya is, like im sure they explained who Dytto was in season 6, so im sure they could have done the same lol. i think this will be kenzie's exit, mostly because of how they set up exits on the next step it always starts with someone auditioning for something external to the team in most cases 😭 only 5 more eps to go nowww

oohhh anthony's eyes in the end!! can we just get rid of eldon and get michelle now to be the internationals consultant? there needs to be a resolution here 'cause eldon really is not a good leader like that. he's great at choreographing but leading the team, nope. i feel like the first half of the season was great as it focused on ariana's plot, but the moment they shifted to internationals "preparations" they lose their footing. like they cant seem to know how to handle these scenes already. no grown ups deciding what to do (yes at this point im not thinking of eldon as a grown up). even the entire internationals is so weird. sure they want something new and fresh maybe but seriously it's not giving anything at all.

I can't imagine any of these people doing the duet. I guess the last time at internationals the stakes were very high (since it was a tie breaker and not just a "normal duet") and Jiley's duet was very emotional and it was kind of the end of an era. I don't think another A-troupe will be able to get to that point again if that makes sense 🤔

These new episodes are not hitting the same - I like that there's more Anthony but I thought that this season Heath, Daisy, Izzy and Kenzie would have bigger storylines. I feel like they should have been highlighted more than Ariana, who is new, but I still like her character. Just not what I expected for this season.

I somewhat enjoyed the episode. I didn't like how Eldon was being disrespectful towards Adele and Anthony, mainly Anthony when he was telling Adele and Anthony that it was their turn to perform and while doing the rehearsal. Anthony was telling the truth and was honest. The Anthony Vs Eldon situation is like Eldon Vs Hunter; Eldon was being arrogant and proves that he is better than everyone else while Anthony is being humbled. I enjoyed Anthony and Adele's duet; it was incredible and the connection was there. Pete and Jett's duet was amazing, it brought the musicality. Ebby and Niall's duet was okay but it lost the connection in places of the dance. Eldon taking off Anthony of the duet was completely wrong. Even in Niall's face that he feels guilty in taking the dance away from Anthony. I love Olive and Ariana's scenes; I love their friendship. I'm glad Olive and Nick are having a heart to heart conversation. I'm glad everything was working out for Olive and Ariana. Ariana admits that she didn't want to hurt Olive or take the solo away from her was so pure and honest. I'm curious why the other dancers couldn't audition for the duet like Ariana, Olive, Ethan, Heath, and Izzy. And why the duets are partnered like that by Eldon. I think Eldon is treating like this because of how Nationals went for Eldon when AcroNation lost which is why he came back to The Next Step as the International Consultant based on how he was treating everyone; this is not a spoiler for the next episode but it's a prediction. I'm looking forward to your next reaction video.

I completely agree with everything you said

While what Eldon did was wrong and it's true that he talked a lot about chemistry just to put together two dancers he hasn't seen dance with each other, I think Niall and Adele would have good chemistry even if obviously not romantic bc at the start of the season we saw them (and Olive) spending time together in their free time, laughing while challenging each other with some dance moves and they did a great trio, so it's like we have never seen them even talk or like they don't interacte with each other. Just saying.

I just thought Ozzy never auditioned for A Troupe he just joined Michelles team as she was desperate for members and when they merged he just went on A.Troupe so we will never know if Ozzy is actually A Troupe material

I dont really like adele and Anthony as a couple, because their relationship and chemistry seems very forced and couples like that dont get anywhere. Eldon talks ab the riley and james duet tiebreaker and he said thats wat adele and Anthony should do, they'll never have the same chemistry as James and Riley 😅

I liked the Olive and Ariana plot in this episode, and I will say, although it seems slightly out of character for someone as level-headed as Anthony to blow up at Eldon but it made sense to me because everyone has their breaking point and Eldon is just so annoying (Anthony's a better person than me, I would not have been able to tolerate Eldon for this long). Also, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but was this the duet from the BTS that Ben choreographed?

Maybe the others arnt there because they’re in studio a rehearsing due to them not wanting to do duets

I like this season but I do feel like the team is barely together at all. There’s no team unity with A troupe since s6. I do like how each character in the team has a storyline but u feel the constant changes from s7-s8 and even now in s9 has ruined the development. You can tell daisy leaving was a huge thing as the writers had to make new storylines with new characters to fill the void of her and heaths development as partners. I’m glad Jet got a lot of development but it doesn’t seem tied to the team, just her alone. Plus I wish kenzie was still there it seems she got sidelined in her own season as the main character.

This epsoide is not good Eldon was trying to help with picking the duet Why Naill . I hate that transision is bad i wanted Pete and Adele for the duet , Pete was trying to talk with his girl in France and Olive should been the soloist make ariana to be a alternate and that is what i thought and Eldon should leave TNS 9 and bring back Piper to help
