"I just don't trust anything that bleeds for 5 days and doesn't die." Is one of those perfect jokes that can't be replicated. The situation of a teacher telling students who have no idea. The reasoning of why this man would say this to 8 year olds. The fact the teacher is gay. There are so many factors and layers to why this joke is so funny is mind boggling.

If im not mistaken, this movie was originally called "All hell breaks lose" but the MPAA wouldn't allow anything with the word "Hell" in it, so they had to change it

i saw this in theaters when i was like 12 or 13, and i don't think my mom knew what she was letting us watch because she went to see a different movie while we watched it lol but they had popcorn bags for the movie and i had it hanging on my wall for years, when i finally took it down i realized there was still some popcorn sitting in the bottom of it

In response to your intro: Yyyyup, I'll be 40 next March, and during the summer of 1999 when this movie came out and I was an innocent young lad of 13, my mom snuck me in... and DAMN did it change my life!! The theater was PACKED (people even sitting in the aisles!) and the audience was laughing so hard you could only hear every third line. To this day, one of the best theater experiences of my life!!

I was 20 years old when I saw this movie in the theater, I was vaguely familiar with South Park but wasn't a fan. While watching the Uncle F'er song I literally walked out of the theater... for a second because I was laughing so hard, I couldn't breathe! 😂

I was 11, and whether or not you were allowed to watch South Park was a big dividing point in middle school. I was too young to be allowed in the movie theatre, but my dad loved the show and let me rent it the minute I could. He also bought the soundtrack for me for my birthday. It had all the original songs, but also every song had a cover by a popular artist at the time (I’m Super by Rupaul, etc) 25 years later and I would still pay any amount of money to fly anywhere in the world to see it live. BEST MUSICAL EVER.

traditionally, Ike is voiced by actual toddlers. hes gone through about a dozen different VAs as they age out. trey parkers daughter did the voice for a bit in the 2010s.

I saw this in theaters when I was, gulp, 23... The entire theater was howling the entire film. I clearly remember my sides and face hurting by the time it ended... "Uncle F***er" and "Kyle's Mom is a B***h" are two of my favorite songs from any musical ever....

I was 9 when this came out. I watched it on VHS because my mom let me rent it from Blockbuster and watch it with my brother. Im not even 35, but that comment makes me old as F with how little of that is possible now haha

According to Marines, Saddam Hussein not only saw the movie, but liked it. Saddam Hussein was shown the movie while he was in prison. He autographed a picture of the movie and soldiers from the US Army's 4th Infantry Division gave it to South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker. Stone and Parker were proud of the photo. In a 2000 interview with ABC News , Hussein 's former information minister , Mohammed Saeed al - Sahhaf , stated that Hussein had seen the episode and was not offended by it . He even found it amusing and thought it was a good satire . However , in a 2002 interview with the BBC , Hussein 's son Uday reportedly expressed anger towards the show and threatened to sue its creators .

Yes, I saw this in theatres. I also saw Beavis and Butthead Do America on the big screen and watched the 1st episode of The Simpsons when it aired. Side note - at the time, the real world "V-Chip" was supposed to suppress/block profanity on TV

You can get lots of recommendations in the comments. One of my favorites is Season 3 Episode 11 "Chinpokomon". Also, you'll probably have better success getting the reactions up if you don't put the name of the show in the video title, and don't say the name in the video.

Might be shocking but some of us were still in the single digits when we saw this movie in theaters. The irony and meta was not lost on me as kid. Luckily my my dad was parent that did not give a crap what we watch so he enjoyed the message maybe even more than I did.

You may also like Trey Parker and Matt Stone's other movies, Cannibal! The Musical, Orgazmo (though it would need to be heavily censored for RU-vid) and Team America. There's also Baseketball, which they starred in.

My two favorite musicals of all time: Chicago South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut 11:11 It isn't Metallica, but it is their lead singer, James Hetfield. Sadly, it doesn't appear on the soundtrack. An underrated gem that they should play at shows more often.

US Government played the south park movie for sadam while he was captive, they just played it on a loop thinking it would piss him off, whether it did or not is unknown... but the soldiers guarding him heard him a laugh a few times at it

Always funny hearing from young youtubers that this would not play, today. Except South Park, Family Guy and a lot of other shows that 'should be canceled' because of the times, hasn't been. It's more how people think what must be on versus what is actually on TV. People are not as politicially correct as many give credit.
