@@abrahamrangel2326my biggest issue is priority on lighter weapons I hate you don’t have priority after landing an r1 I understand there are ways around it but man it’s just such backwards game design to me I landed the attack it’s my turn to be aggressive yet someone can just HA out of hitstun. Maybe it’s just me being used to traditional fighting games idk just don’t seem or feel right to me.
that'd be hilarious, and since most OLPs are their friends anyway i don't see the harm in it. Maybe non PW summoned randoms shouldn't have FF but for PW summoned OLPs? 100%
@@nidusprime7233you can outplay murky by good spacing and curved weapons. And instant remove weapon for no weapon parry. Since murky player intend to spam R1
@@nidusprime7233murky is 100% OP no doubt and a select few other things in ds3 like any straight or curved sword. But the counter play is good timing and patience im not saying i win always to murky i certainly dont but ive beaten some murky builds just using a greatsword such as onyx blade(you definitely need a good amount of stamina tho)
Friendly fire in Seamless Coop is very fun so all players don't grind the shit out of the bosses. It should definitely be a thing for the multiplayer in general
I still think at the very least, making projectiles break on a teammate's hitbox would be a great first step. So an invader can use phantoms as a shield between them and a mage.
I remember this clip, its legendary. Its so sad to me that nothing even close can be replicated in elden ring, where you have to go out of tour way to host fucking 2v2s and survival is completely dead. And also yes friendly fire would make the game way more interesting for the host party, even if the friendly fire is reduced damage like for honor
This could never happen in elden ring. If host and their phantoms had friendly fire, they’d fall apart in seconds due to their own spam and lack of attack discipline. Really cool vid, excellent plays.
There is no fucking way we are getting another DS3 vid before GTA VI, Nah but jokes aside yesterday while watching the stream I was thinking about asking you if you are going to do a "Highly requested DS3 stream after 2.5 years" and now we got this, Elden ring gotta be so bad that you had to do this. Finally. Thank you.
All the comments about friendly hit stun and friendly fire, they absolutely get it. That clip of four reds trying to get you shows how fair it makes it when they can't just whiff attacks through each other harmlessly. It changes the whole dynamics, and modded forms of Elden Ring with friendly fire looks so fun, because you can't just curbstomp with numbers anymore, as positioning matters now.
I've always wondered "why not have friendly for for everyone?" in these games since they tout challenge and are revolved around learning to mitigate punishment from poor decision-making
Absolutely agree, in fact, I would be fine with even just friendly stun. It would completely kill skill less spamming and would require hosts and phantoms to get better at the game, which is what souls is all about right?
Im convinced they can at LEAST, make weapons bounce if hitting an ally. Pve is much bigger and less mobile than a player, all you'd have to do is use your head and hit the huge hitbox first...
My ex and I actually played seamless with friendly fire on for her first time ever playing a souls game and it was fun as hell. Wish we could've finished the game before we broke up lol
Love to see a comparison. I have seen so much of your content, but haven't seen this clip yet. Recently I got bored of Elden ring PvP and switched back to ds3 for a bit. Ds 3 PvP just feels so much better in the close combat department. Also the 6 player base... its so good
10:31 "That's why mods were made. FromSoftware won't do anything we want, but the fans themselves will." Like Seamless Co-op on PC? Weapon reworks? Boss mods? Or even adding in missing content or making their own weapons and armor? I used to be heavily against mods because they would ruin the game. But given how the gaming industry has been going on a decline, especially with FromSoft, they're the only few that keeps video games afloat. I seriously do have a bad feeling FromSoft will be next on following casual gamers just for quick and easy money, just like so many other AAAA devs. I hope I'm wrong.
@@glatykoffi6672to be fair they still listen to the fans and nerfed a lot of op ganker shit like rivers of blood so they are kinda in the middle right now they havent fully betrayed us just yet
Friendly fire would be unprecedented for summons/the host. Considering the direction FROM is taking their title in recently I 100% doubt they'll ever do this. More so, friendly fire would 100% be used by bad players grief hosts. Even if they did no damage and only stunned, it would be a tool for griefers.
Personally i dont think we should be basing pvp balance on ganks... Should be working to dismantle ganks altogether. Being able to turn off invasion spots the same way we can with summoning pools would let people remove all of the gank hotspots. Also ER damage is still one of the biggest pvp issues. If they would just change buffs to stack additively instead of multiplicatively that would both allow for more mistakes in general and reduce the gap between the least/most optimized builds. Also the damage of overlevelled phantoms still just needs to get nuked. Turning on friendly fire for phantoms comes with a whole host of issues
As someone who still invades in ds3 I knew Jee was about to win that 4v1. As long as you keep letting the invaders hit each other, you're most likely to win. I want to like ER, but it just seems like a game made for gankers. Spam L2 to win.
I never played pvp in ds1 ds2 or ds3 elder ring is my first and I wish I would have been there over the yrs but I was more focused on sports in high school graduated is 2012 so now I'm officially going back to the roots of ds3 and making a 125 build lol
My theory is jeenine is playing ds3 in his free time but he only streams elden ring because it gets more views and this is a silent cry for more people to play ds3, (def not cope) ( plz dont molest me )
I said this before Elden Ring came out... I said Elden Ring would disappoint, and DS3 would have a revival in the community... Wouldn't you know Jee dissagreed with me and said "Thats not likely" Jokes on you Jee.
@Jeenine Unfortunately, you may be right, Jee. The jump mechanic is still trash.. We all see you reminiscing about the DS3 days.. We all are. Look at your comments. 🤌
I don't see the friendly fire comparison, invaders still hurt each other in ER and hosts/cooperators can't hurt each other in DS3. If anything it's the player limit of ER that stops it being the same since you're constantly summoned to 1v3's. They could make it auto taunters tongue when the host has 2+ summons and it would still be fair with how easy it is to cheese
Friendly fire will change how coop works fundamentally. Imagine locking onto your teammate during a boss fight… also all the big AOE spells would just mean team kill.
@@JD-kl9xw it would be questionable to make a fundamental change just to accommodate such a minor part of the game. Making TT enable friendly damage would be a good change tho and shouldn’t be hard considering you can do something similar in Seamless already (Dried Finger + Judicator’s Rulebook)
I think this clip is a really good example of the main differences between the two games and it shows how much depth it had DS3 compared to ER, this clip is possible for these reasons: - Friendly fire - Keeping prio after landing a hit - Hardswaps when in hitstun opening up Jee multiple options after getting hit - Actually good and fair backstabs - No passive poise - No dumb powerful spammy ranged options (specially in physical builds, we only had Arb+Ebolts which required a ton of skill to use it effectively) Man this is how I feel about FS, they actually did some really good things with DS3 PvP (it still had it's flaws don't misunderstand me) but I feel like with Elden Ring they saw DS3 PvP and they went like "hey we don't give a fuck about what was good or bad was in the previous game we're just starting from 0" which is awful approach because that way they just don't learn from their previous experiences, new problems arise which weren't present in DS3 and some of the old problems of DS3 still are present in Elden Ring and saying that I think that the conclusion is that FS are just clueless, now all my hopes lies in seamless Coop for the future of ER multiplayer which is just a mod and who know how far it can go...
