My understanding of the song is they wanted to convey how they as Mongolians revere and empower the women of their culture. In the same way the women of ancient Sparta were revered as without women there are no warriors to fight the battles.
Mongolia had pretty progressive notions of women even in Genghis Khan's time, especially compared to a lot of other countries at the time. He even took his mother and primary wife's opinions and advice in mind as far as battles and politics were concerned. They had and, going by what I know of a couple friends, still have, a very high opinion towards women as the song would lead you to believe.
Very true. Mongolian women were very much held in very high regard in society. They had rights no other societies gave their women. They could refuse marriage and were not just ornaments or housekeepers. And to add to your comments Genghis Khans wives presided over their own personal courts called Ordo. And they were allowed to rule over those courts without any interference from the Khan.
i'm an old man. i've seen every side of woman. not always pretty. but at the core, i'm totally on board with everything Lzzy and the Hu. have to say. great song. reminds me of all the things that make women so important in all our lives. brilliant. why did it take a Mongolian band and Lizzy to finally get it right?
Their culture honors women and they are totally awesome men in how they live their lives because that is who they are and they do many good things for their country and not only their people but people all over the world.
This song brings to my heart a sense of respect, love, and pride for my mother and woman. A song like a noble and proud woman. It's so beautiful and very hard to describe my sense in word.
Very cool your reaction. The Hu came to revolutionize the way of making music. It is a true work of art. Here in Brazil they have already won big fans.
Wow, why in my concept, women are only the partner 'till now? Yes indeed she are my mother, daughter, and sister. Mom brought me to this world and makes it possible me to hear such a beautiful music like this. Thank you mom my first beloved woman and forever.
this reminds me of the Peter Gabriel Yousoo Endore Classic Shakin the Tree all about the subtle artful way women are the nurturing backbone of civilization as we know it both of the songs have and will still bring tears of Joy to my whole being .. this is the 5 th time I have listened to this masterpiece and my eyes have tears of joy again .. my Mother had 4 boys and 4 girls she was our rock sadly she passed in 2011 at the young age of 64 I still miss her so very much every day
Well Ms. Sarai, you have really found something quite different but amazing. I will be looking for The Hu on Spotify after this second outing on your channel but even more so, when all of this Covid-19 pandemic has passed I will be keeping a look out for whenever they may be appearing live in my neck of the woods. That would be one hell of a great show I'm sure. Being Irish I'm well used to traditional performer's crossing over with contemporary styles and performers. The Chieftains have won numerous Grammy's for their collaborations with everyone from Alison Krause, Kate Bush to the Rolling Stones. The Hu have it seems really taken their own cultural music and given it a real western rock/metal makeover. Definitely a Wow! 👍🔥♨️
This song ufff brings tears in my eyes and heart. My mom (104) just past last april. Cat you should now react to the past song release of spiritbox Constance. Prepare for an emotional journey
Anyone out there thinking of 'I am woman', 'Song of Women' seems to be the upgrade. but it has only been 50years between the two. A very primal, tribal and extremely powerful song. thank you.
Great reaction! The HU is pronounced like "who." And yes, this song is a tribute to all women. You can google the lyrics if you like. Try The HU's "Yuve Yuve Yu" or "The Great Ghinggis Khaan." Both have subtitles.
Another band for your consideration: The Warning. It's a 3-piece power trio of sisters from Monterrey Mexico. They recently played (8/2020) in a fund raising virtual concert. The lineup also included Lzzy Hale who was so impressed by The Warning that she started to recommend them on her social media platforms! Here is the song that captivated Hale, its called "Dull Knives": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YymrYzxpePg.html. Quick bio: The guitarist is Daniella Villarreal (20), the drummer is Paulina Villarreal (18), and the bassist is Alejandra Villarreal (15). They've been playing concerts since 2015 +/-. I think that you will enjoy them! - Wil.

Great reaction to an epic song! Methinks you would also enjoy reacting to Nightwish, another artist that makes you feel the music. Any track off the Wacken 2013 live concert is great, but Ghost Love Score is always a good place to start. Subbed.. Cheers!

Speaking of Lzzy Hale, she's tweeting that she wants to go on tour with The Warning - 3 sisters from Mexico, now 20, 18, and 15 years old. Their cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman went viral in 2014 (21+ million views). They have an EP and 2 indie albums out and just signed a 5-record deal with Lava/Republic. Love you, Gen-X peeps. In our day, the generation before us solved pretty much the last of the physical world. They ran roads to our homes. They beat actual Hitler. They thought up actual vaccines (polio, et al), they provided a safe, easy world for us to live in. Born next was a generation of convenience but cultural void. Necessity being the mother of invention, we thought up Star Wars, we though up Metallica, we though up Michael Jackson, we thought up arts. Born next was a generation of luxury and decadence. They never needed to imagine. They had decades of content on their phones. Now we must live in their world. They have been domesticated by out arts and luxury. Do not judge. They have their own journey like we have before them.
Well, this is popping out of the 80's jukebox, and into contemporary music. Okay, contemporary it is. Have your heard of these ladies and their song? -Angel Olsen, Woman -Molly Burch, First Flower Keep on....
@@Toroonoo1 - I'll forgive you for your liking HHH as a wrestler,he bores me to tears - my idea of hell is Trips vs Orton in a 60 Min Ironman match but as an executive is class and if they ever got a Mongolian guy in NXT he'd be using these guys 100% .
Alpha Omega haha each to their own I guess. I was lucky to witness Attitude Era when I was grooving up in my teenage years. So you could say all the big names like The Rock. Steve Austin, Undertaker, Brett Hart, Shawn Michael are my favourites. Yeah but DX stable was something else.
Check out a Mongolian movie called "Single Ladies 4" just released on Oct 1st in Mongolia. The movie depicts XIII century Mongol armies included female warriors in their ranks. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1KynAubWre0.html
