​@richardcarson3596 I disagree, most of the hate mob probably will have given up after hating part 2, if abby isn't present in part 3 to appease them, ND have essentially given into the hate mob by giving them what they want. However if Laura doesn't want to do it again, then absolutely, Neil should respect her decision as will most of us who love part 2

@@mkpieris1 there is no story there, so there is no appeasement if she is excluded. neil said (or lied) that tlou is about joel and ellie. abby, while a literal skinover of joel is not joel or ellie.

i think the pacing could have been done much better. one of the major mistakes of the story was that joel died after 2 hours into a 25-35 hour game, there was no build-up and it felt definitely forced. joel and tommy conveniently running into the guys that were after them and conveniently saving them and them being conveniently very open with strangers while they were in a small closed basement and then another convenience that ellie came right when joel was tortured. i just really think that this major part of the game felt WAY too coincidental and got a lot of people way more mad than necessary, because again, there was no build-up to a loved character’s death whatsoever. but overall, the rest of the story was good. (sorry if there are any mistakes, english isn’t my first language)

@@queenc9570 They were definitely going for shock, and it worked for me. The rest of the game I was dealing with the emotion I felt after what happened, just like Ellie. But everyone responds to things differently, of course. I didn't want Joel to die but I was happy with the story I got. The problem with Troy's comment is that everyone has a different "better" in their heads and you just can't please everyone.

It’s not out of context at all. It was specifically in relation to people saying the violence against women in the game is sexism and too much, which is bullshit. I found that part refreshing and relatable.

the main theme of the game is literally “hatred makes nothing but another hatred” yet she’s in that circle without noticing haha
