Reacting to the WATTSON MOVEMENT GOD (insane) 

I've only been playing apex for about a year and a half My understanding after a while was: Wattson = Shit/Average I saw Lamic for the first time a month ago, now I fear any Wattson who even remotely knows what they're doing and has movement.

One time i got set up by wattson door trap and damn that was traumatizing

If his shields are full, yes. But also to create cover. Playing around the pylon is very effective when you get pushed.

The difference is between the fact wattsons are normally trash or dont know how to use her but even so you probably arent getting the value that he does with wattson so in all you would be getting mre value on an easier legend

@Solo_Ult_Me for sure Lamic and all those top players get way more value outta their mains, but I can assure you I’ve tried all the legends out and Watty has been an absolute blast for me with abilities that perfectly come in clutch for me, where other legends’ abilities are more novelty for my play style. She really lets me push onto fights with more confidence than any other legend. I have more wins with her than I do kills with most of the others

Watson is still in need of a huge buff when you reach pro player skills when it comes to movement aim and positioning it doesn't matter how mediocre the legend is you're playing with you can still make 20 kills

What you see in this vid is just not doing justice for lamic. Like yeah, you see his movement and aim skill in this vid but that's arguably not the main reason why people watch him, it's the crazy fence plays. His top dmg game you see here is very lacking in those, and that's just what makes lamic unique from every other player

Absolutely right! I used to watch Kasellos, and he's also good. But Lamic is just on another level.

Wattson is not OP and could actually probably benefit from a small buff, but Lamic does really push wattson’s abilities to their limits for sure. Even if you don’t have lamic’s movement, you could probably still learn and replicate a lot of his fence tricks with practice.

Just pick caustic- hes just better in the end.

@@darkness4839 I don't like playing the big boys. And for me, caustica traps are not as good as the fences. Two fences right behind each other, that's 40 damage and a stun. Two gas barrels activate and they just cough a little and destroy it. Besides, the pylon cancels almost every tactical and ult that comes into my direction, it serves as cover and even recharges the shields of my team and me, that my friend is a livesafer.

@@_-J. Hm... Caustics Ult is what carries his kit. But the barrels are pretty much objectively better than a fence. You get all the stuff Watson gets, stun, detection, damage, annoyance, but it's just better because it will stop a team. Whereas fences only do 10 damage and dont require a cell. Not to mention Caustic is crazy at pushing any team or building, even at locking down endgame cover. It's a bit clear that Wattson is worse in abilities or versatility. But in a 1v1 I think Watson would win because of the hitbox difference. Though that's her only strong point.

@@darkness4839 @Darkness I know what you mean. Caustic has this one big push he can do with his ult and all his barrels, his barrels recharge faster than the fences and so on. The biggest difference is the "defensive visibility" Wattsons is visible, caustics barrels can be placed behind doors, so more unvisivble and sneaky. We can discuss all we want, Wattsons ult cancels out almost every ability and ordanance in the game. Would it be portable on her back, things would be different.

@@rajithshetty4869 As far as I know, RTSS is outdated compared to NVIDIA's updated driver-level frame rate limiter, which offers the same smoothness at a lower input latency. I have tested it myself and while it does make the game a lot smoother, it also increases input delay way too much for my liking. On top of that, it doesn't actually get rid of this feeling of significantly reduced visual clarity when looking around. I think what is happening is microstutters or hitching which temporarily increase input delay, throwing my aim off. I'm used to 600FPS+ on CSGO and my setup is pretty darn solid. My aim is also really sharp on that game compared to Apex, so I'm guessing it's actually just some setting somewhere that's causing the issue. Optimumtech did a video on having the smoothest/fastest experience in Apex and he explained that capping frame rate doesn't generally prevent hitches when your frame rate drops below a certain level unless you cap low enough to where you lose out on a lot of performance. Getting the most frames you can is more important in competitive FPS titles than having consistent input delay when you're already above a certain frame rate threshold, especially in games where hit registry is frame-dependent like in CSGO (and I think Apex also). I have been trying a few new settings recently: I switched to a 4:3 resolution and overrided Apex's scaling mode to do scaling on the GPU, which seems to have improved FPS and reduced stutter (the FPS boost is from lowering the resolution, and using the GPU to scale the image ensures that the signal resolution that is sent to the monitor is always native, which has been known to prevent some issues related to Fullscreen mode in Windows), but I can tell that the stutter still there when compared to CSGO capped at 300fps side-by-side. I have heard from some people that running Apex in high priority mode can cause stutters, but I don't notice any difference with it on or off on my setup. Any suggestions at all would be very much appreciated.

you want to have a stable frame time instead of just higher fps with way too much jittery frame time. Thats why people frame limit with RTSS or something similar

I wanna get good with movement because(coming from someone who started with titanfall 2) I think movement is just really fun and even if it doesn't make you harder to hit or give you any advantages it makes you feel good at the game
