Thank you for reacting to this, not many people react to Two Steps From Hell, and even fewer people react to Thomas Bergersen's pieces, so I really appreciate you reacting to this entire first part of this album, this was a great analysis, please, if you get the chance I would love to see you react to part 2, which is out now

@@ChristopherSiu Can't wait for that :) I know you mean that you'll wait because then the content ID won't censor your video, but just so that you know, it will be way better if you listen to the album on spotify, because on youtube, some tracks seem to be shortened in a weird way which doesn't really show the full picture. I'm referencing to one track in particular that was uploaded just few days ago, and was cut by half of its length ! but it might be the case for other ones too, so yeah, just so that you know :)

@@FlavienB yeah I would definitely agree, I enjoyed "We Are Legends" a lot more in its full version, the shorter version doesn't do the original full piece justice

they aren’t. their music is. orchestral producers are valued much higher than edm and hip hop producers.

Awesome reaction/review. Thomas Bergersen is a true genius and an incredible composer. His music always packs such a punch whatever theme he happens to be going for. You should check out some of his other work as well. I highly recommend Sun. It's such an awesome album and was my favorite music album of all time until Humanity: Chapter I stole it's spot. Also, I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this yet, but yes, this album is recorded with a real choir and orchestra

@@ChristopherSiu Humanity Chapter II is now on Extreme Music, I think that means that you can upload the songs on youtube with permission from the artist

@@koen2715 TSFH blocks videos sharing their music until it's been uploaded to the main "Two Steps From Hell" youtube channel. Extreme Music only allows you to purchase a license to use the music and claim ad revenue. He could theoretically buy one and then be exempt from the video being taken down, but they can be ridiculously expensive. As far as I know they're sold on a per track basis, so he'd have to buy each individual one which is kind of absurd for something like this. It's way more reasonable to just wait a couple more months.

If there's one thing that irks me about this album, it's the naming scheme for Beautiful People (EDM Mashup). Despite the name, it's not an alternate variant of Beautiful People-it's actually this awesome 9min mashup of all the other songs in the album! Hopefully you got to listen to it off camera!

I’ve loved Thomas’s work for years, but I haven’t really watched any analyses/reactions to his work before. This was wonderful to watch and listen to. I hope there are more Thomas reactions to watch! I’ll definitely have to check out other videos.

Humanity albums has accomplished what I've never experienced from music before. And it came into my life at the best possible time. If you've never experienced tears of joy 😂 and uncontrollable explosion a raw emotion in the best way that inspires you to make the steps in your life you've always been afraid to do . "Orbital" is a different version of his previous song "In Orbit". The vocals are literally from it. "In Orbit" is more poppy, I think, but I still love them both.

This is the most in-depth analysis of Thomas Bergersen I've seen, really good stuff! I've been a fan of TSFH for many years now, and I love seeing how more and more people are learning about this music lately. Would love to hear your thoughts on his tracks "Emerald Princess" (Bergersen's tribute to Avicii) and "Return to Sender" (one of his proudest pieces and my personal favorite).

Were you a vocal major? I was trained to be a music teacher, and mainly played French Horn, but learned the other instruments also. Music makes us brave. I wish we had music like this when I was in school. We traveled to perform, but we didn't have music like this. :)

There were copyright claims put on the video, and while I tried to dispute them and they said the claims were released, it's still blocked worldwide.

So funny story, they blocked my ch. 2 video worldwide, and after trying to dispute it, they lifted the claim but the video is still somehow blocked worldwide, and I don't have any further ideas to get it unblocked.

@@taufanaugusta8884 Probably the best indicator that the block has been lifted is when autogenerated uploads appear, because afaik they are blocked just as user uploads are. Recently I've read that Ch II uploads are still blocked and I haven't seen any non official uploads of it either. No idea why they still block it though. Maybe they forgot to lift it, just as they sometimes forget to block uploads and then suddenly copyright strike everyone who had uploaded, which happened to Chris too.

chapter 3 is gonna be out before you react to chapter 2...by the time you react to chapter 3 chapter 7s gonna be out lol Also I don't know if your up for this but an idea of how you can bypass the need to wait till after the yt uploads is you can upload your commentary and we can listen to the album ourselves in another tab and you give us ques to start the music like how yourmoviesucks.org does his movie commentaries ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I5mX1t-HZJc.html anyways its just an idea

@@sakulreyel1 The mastering, specifically. To my ear the loud sections are pushing the maximizer and limiter too far - causing distortion and loss of dynamics. That’s just my opinion, though.
