Like others said, it's just one big alien guy maybe with different forms (depending on the show) The other mechs/space ship miniatures you see are just support. A lot of the other cast you see are pilots/operators/science officers etc.

Funnily enough, the show you said would be fun to watch, Ultraman Z (2020), is officially available on RU-vid with English subs. It's often regarded as among the best in the Ultra series. Z himself recently ranked as the 3rd most popular Ultra Hero in Japan. Speaking of the Ultra Heroes, they each have their own origin, but they're all giant guardians of the multiverse that either merge with a human or disguise themself as one.Typically, they work together with a team of humans and aliens to battle rampaging monsters (kaiju) and invading aliens (seijin).

You should definitely watch Ultraman Z! Every episode is actually on RU-vid and I think the easiest way to answer your questions is to watch it. Though to simplify, Ultras are "Giants of Light" that usually lend their power to humans (sometimes by fusing with them) to help them protect the world from aliens or kaiju. The human will have a changer that allows them to change into the Ultraman/Ultrawoman they have gotten power from.

Ultraman made by different company which is Tsuburaya Production. A company that made by Eiji Tsuburaya, former Toho worker that contributed in Godzilla Kamen Rider and Super Sentai made by Toei Company based on Shotaro Ishinomori's manga

I guess Ultraman are just doing better than Kamen Rider because I wonder if Tsuburaya pays its actors better than Toei , Ultra's always seems to get people back easier than Rider. Why is that? Hibiki: got no anniversary every single year while his Predecessor Ryuki got awesome appearences other than just fight scenes , Kiva: Wataru was not in every media unlike Jiro who appeared in Zi-o and Nago or Taiga is not in Outsiders , Fourze: also got no anniversary in 2021 and won't get a 10 years movie unlike W and OOO that got their new Fuuto PI and Core medal of resurrection , Wizard: The most underrated Heisei Phase 2 ever that only never gets new toys and 10 years movie.

Ultraman history started when Gojira(Godzilla) arrives and creating the Kaiju genre, then Kaiju genre become so popular so they make Ultra-Q, furthermore they make Ultraman as a hero to beat up all those kaijus from Ultra Q

Nexus is one of the darker seasons. Ultraman join up with a human host to fight monsters, but they have a timer on the suit and can only fight for 3 minutes a day. I hope for a metal heroes reaction. You may recognize some from vr troopers and beetleborgs which were also made by Saban.

The latest in the Ultra series is Ultraman Decker (not shown in this intro here) which just concluded in January this year. It is also another great series. But to make full sense of all storylines in Decker, it is best to start from Ultraman Z, another great series which here have recommended in earlier comments. Ultraman Decker is itself also a commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Ultraman Dyna series, whose 2nd intro song you have reacted to here. Just to give you a further guide should you choose to react to an Ultraman series from Tiga onwards: The series from Ultraman Tiga to Mebius is on average about 50 episodes long, excluding Ultraman Nexus (37 episodes), & Ultraman Max (39 episodes) Meanwhile in Ultraman Ginga, the series is only 10 episodes long, followed by another 16 episodes in Ultraman Ginga S. From Ultraman X onwards to current (Decker), the number of episodes are fixed to 25 episodes per series.

Ultramen are just alien or rather a supernatural being of light I would say, doesn't belong to any org or smth, however for most series the Ultraman need to have a host or disguise as a human in order for them to fight on Earth because their energy come from light and sun ray ain't enough for them, normally they can only survive three minutes to survive on Earth but well, that feature doesn't really seems to apply for post-Showa ultras. So anyway, if you're interested in watching any series, I would suggest Ultraman Z, it's a really nice season to get into Ultraman, it touch some original concept of Ultraman, not too heavy nor too light, and even better, the official Tsuburaya channel has all of the episodes on RU-vid so you didn't need to buy cd's or dive into illegal sites lmao.

2:01 Ultraman Tiga actually your first pronunciation which is Tiga was correct but after the second time it was wrong. The correct pronunciation is = Tee-ga or T-ga You missing 1 more opening after Trigger and it is Ultraman Decker(2022) and also all the opening songs of ultraman before Tiga

Ultraman Tiga made in year 1996 but the story set in 2007-2010 and different universe from his predecessor Series. The World Peace achieved in 2005 thanks to Terrestrial Peaceable Consortium (TPC). However, the peace not last longer when alien and monsters attack. TPC subunit, Global Unlimited Task Squad (GUTS) changed from investigator team into defense team. One of the member, Daigo is reincarnation and descendant of ancient giant, Ultraman Tiga. When the monster appear, he secretly transform into Tiga. Ultraman Dyna is sequel of Tiga and the series set in 2017. After the "Great Darkness" defeated in 2010, human civilization and TPC develop and terraform Mars. However, new threats appear and Daigo cannot transform into Tiga anymore. The new warrior, Ultraman Dyna appear and save humanity. Ultraman Dyna choose a young man from Super GUTS as his human host.

These shows typically deal with philosophy and morality and the darkness in people's hearts, dealing with themes of forgiveness and self-growth, redemption, etc. Ultramen are described to be "beings of light" and "giants".

I don't know if someone already wrote this in the comments section but these what is really interesting about Tiga. 1. They ranked first in NHK's ranking show. 2. The main character of the Ultraman Tiga, Madoka Daigo is one of the members of V6, the group who sang the song (and yes, the same group who sang the first opening of Inuyasha, Change The World). 3. The manager of V6 during that time is Dave Rogers (most known for the song Deja Vu of Initial D and the other euro beat in that anime. he even have a version of Ultraman Tiga opening Take Me Higher in his channel) 4. The opening song of Tiga, Take Me Higher has dance steps (somebody in Japan explained how the steps are) Edit(another trivia): One really funny thins is that because of Tsuruno Takeshi (Ultraman Dyna's main character Shin Asuka's actor) have a weird/ doesn't have a fixed form of running on a slope, the next and the rest of the ultraman leads have to run on the slope during their audition 😂😂😂 (he keeps on apologizing about it on the Ultraman special on NHK ranking) and this (might) become a tradition in the ultraman auditions.

odd, the playlist skipped Ultraman Mebius opening 1... For some reason also you're starting with the 2000s ultramen, you haven't started from the very beginning, which in a way is understandable (not sure who gave you that playlist..) the first originals were great but the openings were lacking in a sense, you barely saw the heroes in them. It doesn't quite get to our 'standard' of openings till Tiga (tee-gah)
