Another great reaction Samantha. I'm sure you can sing "Moana" in your sleep after watching the movie 5 times a day, at the request of the kids. 😄. Anyway, who doesn't like Voiceplay. They are so theatrical, interesting, entertaining and funny. I love how Rachel & Geoff play off one another. Her voice is so high and clear and of course Geoff is down in the basement. With Geoff's acting ability, I'd love to see him in the next "Pirates Of The Caribbean" movie as a singing pirate.😁
Acapella in general is very unappreciated and underrated in the music industry, I wish more of it would be on the radio. If you want to see more of Rachel with VoicepLay check out their covers of the Phantom of the Opera and Attention. And if you want more Disney from them, the Frozen 2 Medley is a great choice.
We the people of the earth need to make it happen for independent groups like this to be on the radio. It's not going to happen unless we get involved. Thank you Samantha.
There are videos on RU-vid of Rachel Potter doing the US X Factor, not sure how many songs she did, maybe 4. You can't go wrong with VoicePlay, or Geoff Castellucci's solo covers. I call them solo but Geoff is a one man acapella group on his own. Country Roads, Blackbird, HIgh and Dry, Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold. As for VoicePlay, so many, Boy Bands in 5 minutes is a lot of fun, Queen in 5 Minutes is dramatic, Can't Help Falling in Love is romantic. Tennessee Whisky is good. But too many to choose just one.
The Voice Play versions of "This is Halloween" and "You're a Mean One Mr Grinch" are all fantastic. And of course their collaboration on "Just Sing" will make you smile. Remember to turn on subtitles for that one!
Yes.. Copyrights... Sure. In Italy there was also a different reason, that people gloss over in polite company. Moana was the stage name of the first big Italian pornstar/socialite/tv personality/politician who became a household name despite her chosen profession. I have to think that too played a role in the decision to steer clear from the name
