as an autistic person, THANK YOU for gentle parenting your child!!!!!!!!!! I grew up with split parents and my mom was gentle parenting me before it was a thing, and my dad didnt, he yelled and spanked etc. And its traumatizing. period. but autistic people are even more susceptible to trauma, we pretty much all have cptsd(because our nervous systems are so overwhelmed, so its impossible to not have cptsd for an autistic person in the world we live in)

As someone who has been watching you since 2016, seeing your growth and watching you grow up has been insane especially since you’re one of the few RU-vidrs I’ve actually grown up with and have been consistently watching despite me growing up and growing out of my old favorite media. It’s so weird. You’re amazing.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! for sharking this news (to us) about Noah. I am a therapist for toddlers with Autism and know with 100% certainty that other moms will see this and it will help them. I have had more moms in the last year tell me that they were enlightened by social media. Even if you don't think your helping someone directly, you are still softening the stigma by identifying yourself as existing in this space! You're normalizing life with child with an ASD Dx. Thank you, as a practitioner I am grateful for you.

I wish me being autistic didn't go unnoticed for as long as it did, all throughout my childhood and college I struggled in ways others didn't; I only recently found out I'm autistic at age 22. It has been so revolutionary because so much just makes so much sense, but at the same time it makes me sad because if anyone at home noticed I could've gotten help sooner and maybe a lot wouldn't be as confusing. I admire how you and Nassim do everything you can to help Noah, I appreciate you sharing.

It has been the coolest thing in the world to watch you go from my cool, imaginary big sister to a phenomenal and devoted momma. My nephew was diagnosed with Autism at 2 years old and is now thriving at 19 years old, greatly due to early intervention! I am now a pre-k teacher, and wish I could make every parent out there understand how beneficial early intervention is for children. The way you talk about, love, support and parent Noah goes to show that you were destined to be his momma. You have created such a beautiful family, and I am so happy for the peace and love you have found. Wishing your family all the best!

Omg! I’m so happy you shared your child’s autism; because my daughter is exactly the same. She also just got diagnosed…. And I have so many people with autism like you said who are unique. I want to help other families get into early intervention. Now having a child and knowing the different signs whether they be small or large; EARLY INTERVENTION IS 100% going to change them; detrimentally. But; it’s so fricken hard to get the resources. They make it so hard and I’m on the phone (for instance today) for hours trying to fight for my child!!!! I wish I could talk to you because it’s so crazy.

I remember commenting last year(?) that our sons are very similar - they both got a sensory processing diagnosis around the same time as well... So no shock that my boy was diagnosed autistic too! They would have a lot of fun destroying shit together haha

As a mom to 25 yr old identical twin boys, we've all lost our cool with our children. The fact that you apologize to him teaches him that even parents aren't perfect. I used to take mommy timeouts. You're an excellent mom.

As a parent that couldn’t produce and had to switch exclusively to formula at 4 months, thank you for your donations. There’s nothing wrong with formula, but it broke my heart not being able to breastfeed and if we had an accessible milk bank in my city I think it would’ve helped a little emotionally.

With me being on the Autism spectrum (I have a learning disability called fragile x syndrome). Thank you for sharing that cause honestly I wish my parents gentle parented me. Now that I'm an adult I am in therapy, being on anxiety medication etc has helped me a lot. I'm now working towards getting a job in web development, I learned to web code on my own 😊♥️, even coded my own website. It's definitely my biggest dream to live independently on my own, it's something I truly truly am trying to achieve. Thank you again for sharing that cause it's a reminder that I'm not alone 😊♥️♥️

Hearing you talk about parental approval a little felt good. i don’t think it was ever intentional but my parents definitely pushed some narratives onto me and my siblings a lot like college and this and that and when I decided not to do that kind of stuff I was terrified to tell them I was terrified to hear what their response was because they always push this narrative on so hearing that you won’t do that to your kids really just I don’t know made my heart smile so thank you 🤍

I’m not a boy, so my perspective is obviously very different, but as a woman who got diagnosed as autistic at 20, it can be so freaking confusing and upsetting to learn how your brain operates so late in life.
