i think it is very easy to say one brother is better. they may have both done bad things but the difference in WHY and how they handle it is so incredibly different. stefan almost always has his humanity off or has given in to his addiction when he’s doing something wrong. and most the time he doesn’t even choose to turn it off. and once he’s back he feels remorse he’s sorry he learns and he’s an overall good person who just wants a normal life and wants to atone for everything he’s done. damon continues to be the worst person you’ve ever met with no remorse, kills people with his humanity on every time Elena and him fluctuate a little bit and has no moral code , accountability , or empathy. You can love both brothers, but one is a better man than the other. that’s literally the point of the show lol. good brother vs bad brother.
I didn't know my comment was that controversial lol but I just distinctly remember Klaus as a character being written to have an affinity for witches and who else would he have sought after if for nothing else than raw power? Bonnie. He wanted to build a freaking hybrid army, but had to go to Bonnie for the fix for why it wasn't working. Went to Bonnie to get he and his siblings unlinked from Esther's spell. Went to Bonnie for help with the other two fools to take down Alaric. Went to Bonnie to have his soul transferred out of Tyler's body where she put him to save everyone's lives. You seeing the pattern here? If they could fit something as nonsensical as Klaus falling for a carbon copy of his bratty sister then he certainly within canon could have fallen for the witch that nearly ended him. Another nugget for thought. Who was the first character Klaus hooked up with in TO? Genevieve who was a witch and understood Klaus had a thing for witches..... I'm just saying. Bonnie could have been the one that got pregnant with Hope in season 4 while Bonnie was tangling with Expression and Silas, given birth in season 5, maybe becoming a hybrid of her own if she was killed in childbirth by Silas or something thus rendering the whole spinoff show completely pointless, especially given the fact that Nina left in season six of TVD. Season six could have continued on without Nina and it would focus on Bonnie, her tribrid baby and her hybrid baby daddy. Sorry for the long comment!
Kat graham has chemistry with everyone so she could be shipped with everyone also i think why Klaus never wanted to kill Bonnie was not because he liked its because she the last Bennett witch and he could use even in the og he calles her asking for help about the other side a Bennett witch is very useful
I don't think Tyler was wrong to go after Hayley. Considering that he was a hybrid of two supernatural beings that act on impulsive emotions...and his mom was just freshly killed.. she deliberately set him up to get his pack killed by Klaus just for some information, as well as because of her betrayal Tyler lost his mother. She then just skips town like it was nothing she could care less about. His mom was the last constant thing he loved in his life. I think in his traumatized state of mind he was more so thinking an eye for an eye. Logic and reason go out the window when your family is murdered. He had the supernatural means to inflict revenge. Klaus had one thing he truly loved at that moment in time...his legacy. Take away that, plus revenge on what Hayley did just drove him over the edge. Matt was basically used as the voice of the humans still getting terrorized by the vampires of the town. People watching the show needed to be reminded of the trauma and casualties in their wake. I hated the actor for his racists antics against Katerina Graham, but I sympathized with Matt for wanting to keep his humanity in tac and being a reminder of the forgotten people of Mystic Falls. Bonnie's and the Salvatores' ancestry were the whole reason for the supernatural elements to the retconned backstory of the town, yet she was used as a plot device and not even secondary to Elena. Caroline had nothing to do with any of the major plot lines, except for season 7, and yet got more screen time and story arcs, with a rapid character development overnight, as soon as she became a vampire. In the books she was Meridith and wasn't really necessary. Julie sabotaged all connection between Bonnie and the Salvatores. With Stefan, he was the one that would physically look in on her, even though he initially came to her for help. The writers and execs wrecked it by keeping them apart...just like early on when Damon and Bonnie started to have a close connection ( starting with the 60's dance) because they had too much chemistry together. In the later seasons their close relationship was unsubtly ripped apart do to the agenda of Julie and Caroline to project their their fantasies into the show. And it was clear that Elena was replaced as bestie by her own boyfriend, because he was the one looking out for her, and making her character stronger...just as she helped him be a better Damon and didn't enable his bad behavior like Elena did. It's funny how the speech a ghosted Rose told Jeremy how he challenges her and blah,blah, blah when that speech fit more for Damon and Bonnie, but not in a toxic way. Bamon was robbed. Although, both Micheal and Kat made Bonenzo believable in love, the truth is he was the substitute for what Damon was supposed to be for her. I hate that Paul had to complain about the lack of development of his character Stefan. He was sabotaged and reduced to secondary because of Julie's obsession with Ian. He had to have other characters to play in order to get some intricate story arc. How did it make sense for the originals and Tessa to not connect or speak with Bonnie on her ancestors and their greatness.? Why would Tessa be happy to inflict torment on her last and powerful descendant? The writers didn't care, is the answer. Killing off Enzo was just a big F.U. to the Bonnie and Bamon fans that pretty much got her together on social media and in the conventions about her treatment of Kat and her character Bonnie. Another of the biggest issues I had with the show was the lore inconsistencies. For example: in order to excuse Elena of being a shitty person for sleeping with Damon the same day she breaks up with Stefan, they give her the excuse of being a sire bot ( basically). When she later keeps ignoring his sire commands she insists that she is in full control of her will. Then....when she loses Jeremy, suddenly she sire bots her emotions away because he told her to. Well, which is it? I also can't help but feel Julie tried to rip off as much from the Buffyverse with the styling of her story arcs and characters. There's inspiration and then just copy paste with a twist. I can't ..😤🙄
Agree with point about Tyler! I can't believe that so many people don't get. It was so sad to watch. No one really stood up for him or made him realise that revenge wasn't the answer. He literally lost everything
Fun fact: the show had 171 eps total and Stefan was 171 years old when he died at the end so yes I do think Stefan was the main character, but think about it elena was used to tell his story, even the writers confirmed that, I do agree that it was executed poorly if that was the case, Overall it wasn’t about if elena picks Stefan or Damon, it’s about Stefan’s relationship with his brother from beginning to end.
@@romieonfilm You definitely need to get into this because it's some of the best writing I've ever seen and makes it apparent just how much potential was actually wasted in these godforsaken shows.
I don't know if its unpopular opinion but I always shipped Bonnie and Damon and thought they should be end game. I think Elena should have died and Stefan should have left Mystic Falls to live his life and finally be free. I hated Steroline. I hated Delena, although I did like them being a fling, not end game.
Matt and Tyler do not deserve the amount of hate they get. I don't blame matt for how he acted like come on, run away dad, crap mum, damon turned his sister then stefan killed her. Tyler was a di* at the beginning but just like alot of ppl he grew so much, I felt bad when damon killed him. I personally prefer matt and Tyler to kol and Rebecca And i prefer matt and Caroline to klaroline
I genuinely do not understand the Matt Donovan hate. He had good reason to not want to be involved in the supernatural world, and a great reason to not like Stefan and Damon. He was just a guy trying to live his life and was constantly being dragging into everyone else’s drama. No saying that Matt was my favorite character but he is far from last
i actually did like tyler a lot, he has a great character develoment, has so much reasons to wanted revenge over klaus and him and caroline were such a cuties
The only time Matt character was good when he had a traveler in him . And the writers could done more with Jeremy as the hunter he could have been stronger and more powerful as a hunter , if you are a hunter you should be able to defeat all vampire and werewolf and other creatures because if you against these things and you don't win you shouldn't make it out alive . Why was every vampire kicking Jeremy behind it should have been the end other way around even Stefan and Domen and Enzo and Klaus and Kol , Jeremy should have been strong enough to fight them off on his own . Because if this was real Jeremy could say wait a minute let me get stronger and then I defeat you .
