this was such a great solo debut, I'm glad you enjoyed it ! as you said, vocals were most definitely vocaling, especially that vibrato part in the first part of the chorus ... chills if you have time I hope you can check out H1-KEY's debut song Athletic girl, I'm pretty certain you'll be blown away

Also if notice... The song it's not only talking about boys, bur talking about her old company (soumu) GFRIEND make they popular and when already popular they disbanding GFRIEND... This is same like part chorus Lyrics Just my theory

This song was produced by *MZMC* *(Marz)* who was a music producer at SM. He's the person who made EXO - LOVE SHOT, TEMPO etc..... He has made 50+ songs for SM. Most of them were hits. Unfortunately he quit SM after the Tempo era. I'm very interested in his work. He has produced songs for artists outside SM too, for example, CIX , etc... The quality of his work is TOP NOTCH. Lastly, I loved this track. I was kinda getting that RnB vibe from this song. This is flames 🔥. I'm gonna stan Yuju now.

If im not mistaken he had issues about fee w SM, but idk..however he involves alot w Konnect ever since Daniel's Magenta, and now Yuju as well..he's part of Konnect main producer.

@@icyonih yeah he had some issues. He said that the Chinese companies paid him more than SM. Obviously there's more to the story than that, cuz I've read on a reddit post that he was himself a problematic person. During his time in SM he supposedly made some bad comments about a non-SM group (I'm not sure if that's true or not). He had some plagiarism accusations against him too. The only plagiarism accusation against him that I know is about LOVE SHOT. A particular melody (D.O.'s part in the bridge where he says, " People come and people go ") in love shot was found to be very similar to a Louis Tomlinson song. I can't remember the name right now. But that issue was settled very soon cuz the appropriate credits were given original songwriter. Konnect entertainment sure has got themselves a great producer. Ive already listened to KANG DANIEL and i like his music. I actually stan all SM groups cuz they make music that fits my taste. I'm an RnB/Soul lover and SM has never disappointed me with their music.

In Gfriend Yuju known with her strong high vocal, to think this is first time I've heard this low deep voice from her. This definitely something new for Buddy even herself. More than that the concept even beautiful. I also love the instrument, it's called Gayageum/Kayageum, Korean traditional instrument.
