I felt so bad for Brandon. He seems like he’s really trying his best and has such good intentions but after this it seemed like he was discouraged, questioning his identity, and feeling like he didn’t belong to the vegan community. I just wanted to give him a hug and tell him he’s doing great and that he CAN sit with us.

Erin said that she used to be a heavy drinker before going vegan overnight. A lot of people who give up alcohol end up replacing that part of their life with something else that they have to get incredibly zealous about. I think that’s what happened to her.

I've seen dynamics like that before. Erin was so strong in her conviction that she swayed the whole group to her side against their own choices. I don't think some members thought it was Brandon but going against Erin was too hard for them. In the end, they preferred to agree than to face the possibility of being wrong. In the end by not standing up to their gut feeling, they lost.

This is Elizabeth from the video and just wanted to say I was definitely nit-picking people's outfits/makeup to spot the meat-eater but in reality I think people can 100% wear cruelty-free makeup and nail polish. It was taken a bit out of context and we all were reminded that being vegan is way more than skin-deep and it's a different journey for everyone. Thanks for the video though!

I'm a vegetarian now. November first I'm going vegan.

When someone i know says they want to go vegan i tell them not to say they are vegan to anyone else because might run into someone who speaks to them like Erin and make them give up. Idc how many animals i don't eat I'll never say I'm vegan. I get so many rude and snotty remarks just for saying vegetarian or plant based. People wait for you to fail and they are sure to point out when they THINK I am eating something with meat in it and quick tho say I'm wrong for not giving my toddler meat. It can be very stressful. Even knowing I have up meat because I had breast cancer years ago and eating this way had helped so much. They make jokes until I give in.

Erin was the worst TBH and people like her were a huge part of the reason I was hesitant to go vegan or even tell people about it once I did go vegan. Get Brandon on the show hahaha you're right, he would totally fit in!!!! PS your channel helped me SO MUCH when I made the transition, and it took me close to a year going from vegetarian to vegan...if I hadn't been exposed to more open-dialogue and accepting channels like yours, I honestly don't know if I would have made the switch at all!

Booyah, my choice was right! Yeah he just gave me the vibe that he was the mole. I felt sorry for the people voted off too, especially Brandon! That irked me so bad how Erin was treating him, no one deserves to be harrassed like that. I'm pretty sure she isn't perfect either, as no one is, so she has no right to come for anyone like that.

Okayyy Elizabeth was also recently in a video called do all vegans think the same . Which is why I knew she was “vegan.” But all of her opinions and actions she spoke of in that video leads me to feel like she’s way more flexiterian than vegan. One of her opinions is that people are still vegan if they “cheat” once in a while . Not if they slip up , not if they accidentally eat something non vegan, but if they “cheat.” 😪

I have felt like people would talk shit about me being vegan because I don't look the part. I have actually gained a significant amount of weight after going vegan ..... the junk food is too good! For four and a half years ... I've been a bit 50/50 on whether or not to tell people. I am proud 100% of being vegan for the animals. I guess I think people will try to use me against veganism. My meat eating sister said two years in, "why are you vegan? You aren't losing weight. " Everyone assumes it is just some diet where you under eat. I was also VERY scared to go to a vegan festival ... I thought everyone was going to be perfectly thin and gorgeous and I would stick out ... I almost didn't go. So happy that I did ... like what was said in this video .. there were all sorts of sizes and colors etc.

Do people in US really not eat buckwheat? It's such a normal food in Russia, a lot of people eat it since childhood. It's probably as popular as rice here. Oh and I'm not talking about vegan diet just everyone eat it.

I remember when I went vegetarian last year for one month and literally lost 20 pounds because I went from eating a bunch of processed foods to making my own meals every night or meal prepping for the week. I eventually went back to eating meat as it was harder for me not having that much support from the people around me, but even though I eat meat now I eat way less processed foods

what got me with erin is she’s saying things that are objectively wrong as if they’re fact. sour patch kids ARE vegan, and you can eat vegan at taco bell. she ruined it for everyone by claiming someone wasn’t eating vegan when they were. i get being passionate but damn she should know what she’s talking about if she’s gonna act like that.

I love how open you are! A few years back I watched freelee and that group of youtubers who were very militant and when drama started getting worse I stopped watching all vegan youtubers. I used to feel bad for not eating a super clean vegan diet aka raw til 4 etc. But you guys seem so nice and well not militant at all.

I'm just 4mins in and you girls are right on the money. Your critical thinking skills far exceeded Erin's. And this is the problem with self-appointed "leaders" and essentially bullys. Diversity of thought wasn't a priority. She selfishly self-appointed herself as the arbitrator for the group and ultimately led them to failure. At least that's how it seems. I'm willing to give the benefit of doubt as an editor can shape the narrative. For all, we know Erin wasn't as chatty/confrontational, but I somehow doubt it was a malicious editor.
