ummm chicks are actually not vegan according to my encyclopedia of veganism, chicks are baby chickens and chickens are made of meat and using the m word in a sentence is against the policies so maybe you should rethink your wording.
bro that shit was so annoying like, BITCH YOU WERE GRILLING HIM FOR EATING AT TACOBELL, THEY SAY WHY THATS DUMB, AND YOU GET ALL DEFENSIVE AND ACT LIKE THEYRE BEING WEIRD
@@abagofchipzlol3667 for context's sake, 3:34 is the first mention of Taco Bell, with Brandon explaining what he orders. 13:09 is the second mention. 13:24 Patty and Elizabeth very calmly and non-confrontationally say that there are vegan options at TB. 13:48 Erin flabbergasted that her word isn't taken as gospel and pretending they ganged up on her.
It was completely unfair for Erin to attack Brandon the entire time and then when the rest of the group stood up for him a little bit she victimized herself??? Hello???
I am so HAPPY Erin didn’t root out the mole cause it shows her condescending behavior and supposed “expertise” wasn’t good enough to do the one job she had.
@@ianmccombie2476Wasn’t it glorious watching her lose and have her soul crushed right in front of us? Lol it couldn’t have happened to a better (or worse) person. People like her trick themselves into believing things that aren’t true, strictly based off of the fact that their narcissism causes them to believe they’re correct about everything 100% of the time. Man, she was SO obnoxious. Idk how people like her have friends, if I’m being honest. I truly couldn’t be her friend lol 🤷♂️ Side note: Meat, particularly steak, is a gift from God and should be enjoyed by all humans 🐮🥩🍖 🥓 Bacon as well lol
@@ksina5458 Nerds are vegan which is why she kept pressuring him to name another one and once he said sour patch kids she went all crazy even tho they r in fact vegan. She ignored the nerds response cuz she knew damn well those were vegan
Erin is the textbook definition of insufferable. I don't think I could spend more than 10 minutes around a person like that without having to excuse myself from the room.
Exactly, the goal is to consume less meat to reduce animal cruelty not live a militant vegan lifestyle. If Americans ate meat one less day a week that'd be a huge shift not that Erin would care about that.
@@Lucarioguild7I’d even go so far as to say you can have the ultimate goal of living a militant vegan life style, but trying to impose that on others in such a vicious and frankly annoying manner is counterintuitive.
EXACTLY, even if you can reduce meat consumption a few times a week, that is very helpful. Imagine if half the world that eats meat didn't for one day a week or something, that would be a great start!
as a vegan, erin INFURIATES me. most of us want so badly to be inclusive and accepting so others get just as excited or at the least more open minded than the norm about alternative options and the sustainability of the lifestyle, and people like her give us the worst rep. she’s actively doing damage that she’s attempting to stop by belittling people and making them feel unsafe/unsure within themselves to try anything new
Right I have a vegan friend from my first ever job and she would always let us try her food and her like impossible meat and answer our questions about veganism which made and makes me consider being vegan but Erin was just so aggressive for no reason and he said he just became a vegan lol
I bet that Erin was fighting with the producers afterwards like “well technically Brandon isn’t a REAL vegan so we should still get the money because we did vote the NON vegan out 😤”
I've been vegan for over ten years, and Erin's behaviour is really disheartening, it's about minimising harm, and encouraging people to become aware, not being competitive and morally superior. And sour patch kids are vegan, jesus h.
This was made a few years back, I remembered ppl harassed her into disappearing off social media but idk what happened afterwards. But she sure got the memo haha
Guarentee she's the one who's gonna have a breakdown in 5 years, go to town on a cheeseburger and decides to give up on veganism altogether. Been a vegetarian for years, it's always the most strict who do the least because they end up giving up.
What sucks is Brandon was a new vegan so obviously it makes sense that even if he was doing it for more than just food (which in itself is literally fine and normal lol) he wouldn't have every single thing figured out yet. Poor guy. I wonder if he's still vegan today, or if Erin traumatized him too much lol
Also, Erin is so not knowledgeable about veganism outside of her own bubble. I'm not even vegan and somehow I knew that people can be vegan for lots of reasons. When she said "his ethics didn't match" I went ???? ok???? There's no ONE single reason for people to eat vegan lol she's wild
Love how Erin believes she has the moral high ground because she's a strict vegan when being rude and disrespectful to someone is probably one of the most immoral things you can do. I get this was a game with a cash prize but you couldn't pay me to be that mean to someone.
she’s definitely made him not want to be vegan. shes made it out to be like a religion, and I know I left my religion and found it to not be the truth because of others making me feel unwelcome and that I was doing everything wrong. I really dislike people like her who think they have some kind of superiority over others in that way
The fact that Brandon was the ONLY on getting grilled is so funny. Poor dude was just trying to be vegan step by step. The fact that every food he named was vegan is crazy.
Brandon is the person I’d most want to be friends with and learn about veganism from, if I could choose anyone in this group. His story and motivations were interesting and I kept getting frustrated when he was cut off or judged.
They way Erin behaved sucked and Brandon seems like a sweet guy who’s trying his best but he actually wasn’t vegan. Honey isn’t vegan and if he’s still eating it, he’s vegetarian. Which is fine! When I first tried to be vegan I also ate honey because I didn’t know it’s not vegan. Depends on how you act after people tell you that the things you do/eat aren’t actually vegan.
@@kj285 Tbf there is still debate within vegan communities about whether it's ethical for vegans to eat honey. Honey production is very important for the environment. People usually raise bees for the honey and considering the decline of wild bees due to pesticides and urbanization of the environment, raising bees is a very very good thing. Removing honey generally doesn't harm hives and hives can even become "honey bound," requiring the hive to move altogether as there's no longer space to lay eggs. It is a nuanced issue and Erin is quite unreasonable to insist *no* vegans eat honey.
As soon as Brandon said he went to Taco Bell all the time and got a crunchwrap done fresco, with beans instead of beef, I knew he was vegan. Same, brother.
as a long time vegan, tacobell is literally the most realistic & easily veganizable fast food spots and sour patches are famously vegan wtf is this girl ON
Fun fact for the crazy vegan- the honey market (most specifically local farms) actually HELPS bees because the process doesn't harm bees and it helps bee populations :)
dangerous half knowledge: The problem is dieing of wild bees. So domestic bees often dont help or even do harm. But im with you, honey eating isnt that bad.
YeSSSSS THIS! Eating honey actually causes the least harm for bees and the environment so it is in line with vegan morals. I always find it so funny when hard line vegans are so literal
Thats not neccesarily true. A lot of beekeeping does damage to the enviroment (w certain pesticides for instance) and als o sometimes uses cruel or exploitative practices like clipping the wings of the queen bee. There's plenty of non-harmful beekeeping (look for local small-beekeing-byuisnesses and traditional beekeeping) but it bothers me to consistently see this misinfo being spread that all beekeeping is ethical when in reality a lot of it is bad for both the bees and the enviroment.
she's right though, veganism is an ethical belief to minimize animal suffering as much as possible, and it's not just a diet. this undermines the whole movement, especially when people just use it to be trendy and go on and off. but tbh she could've taken Brandon aside after the show and talked in private about things like 'hey if you still use/consume animal products you're not vegan but just eating a plant based diet, because veganism is a lifestyle choice' and give him tips on how he can change things like suggest good candy and explain why honey is not vegan. and maybe suggest some documentaries or something 100% agree with what she said, but 0% agree with the delivery and time and place too.
Not everyone is as educated on veganism but at least he's trying. She wasn't helpful at all, she was pratronizing and condescending. She's exactly the type of person to push people away from wanting to be vegan. Him wanting to do it for his overall health is his main reason which is still considered veganism seeing as there are different categories of veganism. He was still very new to it so having someone from that community come in and completely bash him and his willingness to try is just gross. @@vaniitasstore
I just hate how Brandon was literally questioning himself because Erin has a superiority complex and made him feel like because he wasn’t making sure if the soap he used was vegan he’s wasn’t a real vegan. Also she asked about candy then says she doesn’t eat candy like wtf why did you ask?
cause she knew the candy one would be an easy "gotcha" for someone who isn't super vigilent with every single ingredient. Lots of candy "seems" vegan but in reality has gelatin or colouring made from bugs etc.
@@eedaj The most annoying thing is they are basically vegan. There are some potential ethical issues with the processing of some cane sugar (using bone char), but they don't directly use animal products. If she actually knew that she could've lightly suggested that maybe the production isn't as ethical as would be ideal. But she flat out stated it wasn't vegan which makes me think she pulled it out of her ass.
Right?? And not only that, he TOLD her that he went vegan only a few months ago, where she's been vegan for TEN YEARS. Of course he's not going to be perfect.
@@veemaxine5257she said 10 years COMBINED, which means she must have fallen off the wagon once or twice. She should be able to have empathy for those just starting out and softly correct their honest mistakes; every vegan should be excited for those who are putting in any kind of effort to be more sustainable. Unfortunately, her superiority complex makes her absolutely unforgiving. Funny how she targets Brandon the entire game, but plays victim when everyone softly corrects her on a mistake SHE made.
@@zig_da_pigI’m not anymore, but when I was vegan for 6 years taco bell was a savior. You can order anything “el fresca” style & they will replace all the dairy with salsa. That’s probably not good enough for bougie raw vegans, but it is better than nothing and accessible.
@@abbyz13 I know, but she was trying to tell the other guy that Taco Bell couldn't be vegan because there's eggs in the tortillas, but that's just false. She was just lying or she just didn't know the truth.
its the way she interacts in the competition. like no tact, politness. idt this is how she necesserily is in normal settings where theres no prize to win
13:44 her victimizing herself after everyone said she was wrong about Taco Bell drove me nuts. People are trying to tell you because you’re wrong. Doesn’t want to hear she’s wrong but I bet she’s the kind of person that tells people they need to “educate themselves”.
especially bc she was talking down to newly transitioned vegans. diets are hard to change, and you can’t look up all the ingredients to every single thing all the time…god forbid she make them feel welcome.
Erin is literally the kind of person that makes people staunchly anti-vegan and makes people think that making better choices has to be 100% all or nothing. I feel so bad for Brandon being bullied by that weirdo.
@@paradoxicalmadness4507 around 1% of the world is vegan, in the us and eu it's around 2%. thats 1 in 50. so unless you never left your house and never interacted with anyone outside since you were born, the odds of you not having interacted with tons of vegans over the years is practically zero. it's like saying you've never talked to an orphan, obviously you have but they just didnt mention it :)

As a vegan (over ten years now) I hate people who approach veganism like Erin. How are are we supposed to convince people to become vegan if they feel harassed 😭 never understood the aggression if you’re not being insulted first!
I've been toying with the idea of having specific vegan days in my week, like only eating vegan foods on Tuesdays and Thursdays to at least *contribute* to the good that vegans are trying to do, but I feel like I'd get reamed if I told people I was only vegan sometimes haha - I know that's only a handful of the vegan population but they are SO vocal and aggressive that it scares people away
She gives me the same vibes as a person who quit smoking cigs for a few months and just starts levitating two inches off the ground everytime they talk to someone who still smokes cigs
right, and it's funny she pushes people away/gaslights people who are trying to be vegan when she thinks that's a good thing. also, serving raw food doesn't even make one a chef, so she needs to check herself (lol kinda joking)
i wish the producers fact checked during the episode so that after the conversation they could tell erin "btw taco bell wraps and sour patch kids ARE vegan"
@@TylerWardhaha Yeah andI feel like when Brandon got eliminated he definitely searched it up and realized he was in fact right. He seems so sweet tho he prob didnt say anything
Bruh as a korean that eats buckwheat, that buckwheat comment from Erin made me laugh cuz for someone who practices things other cultures like yoga, she certainly isnt very open to the possibility of other cultures eating more uncommon foods
Ikr, eastern european here, we eat that stuff all the time. Hearing this ascended being go wHo eAtS bUckWhEaT with such a condescending tone made me roll. Millions of people, missma’am.
I hope Erin knows honey isn’t that bad especially if it comes from a local farm, just go to farmers markets. So many vegans substitute honey with agave not knowing that 1. Agave is high in fructose and 2. It’s not sustainable
Honey is also super high in fructose! Im fructose intolerant so i found out the hard way haha. But yeah i hope erin knows too, but she doesnt seem like someone who wouldnt believe it after being proven wrong
as a vegan myself, i can promise that most of us strive to be as unlike erin as we possibly can in our day-to-day lives LOL. i myself went vegan when i was 16 for animal ethics reasons but i also think it’s important to remember that it can be scary for people to make the transition that initially seems so drastic when that’s just the way they were brought up. i don’t believe at all in judgement & guilt-tripping, but couldn’t recommend veganism to everyone enough, even if it takes the tiniest baby steps to get all the way there :)
I really love that while reveling in her own self proclaimed ethical superiority, Erin is so obviously wearing fast fashion brands which are some of the biggest contributors to environmental devastation and sweatshop labor. But whatever. Enjoy feeling better than everyone else because you don't drink milk.
I’ve revisited this episode time and time again just to think to myself “This is exactly who I do not want to be” and it keeps me level. I can be a bit of a button pusher online out of fun but in reality just be kind and not a prick. Looking at you, Erin.
Lmao at the entire group convincing themselves NOT to raise their hands at the end, despite their very visible uncertainty, all because the loudest/most obnoxious people in the group (led by Erin) bullied them into a bad decision. They all deserve it for not standing up to her. I wish the producers had just done a plot twist and given Brandon the prize, to make up for his bad treatment.
Dude said ONE word and you caught him 👏👏 God, Erin really thinks she's the leader of an exclusive club that no-one else is good enough to be in. Imagine knowing her in real life. I couldn't.
Erin ruthlessly grilling everyone about how pure of a vegan they are. They softly correct her about taco bell, "I dont know why you guys are trying to tell me what-"
For me the issue is that Erin sniffed out the most insecure person in it's veganism and that was Brandon, because he wasn't vegan for that long and then she just went to town on him. It's just sad to see people take a morally superior stance over people instead of encouraging them or being understanding. Sad.
She's the perfect example of why people have a bad opinion of vegans. When someone says they're vegan we think of someone exactly like her: militant, pushy, angry, lecturing, judgmental. You don't want to be around someone like that. You can't be yourself because they're constantly judging you. And it's even worse if you aren't vegan. So for someone like Brandon who is new to veganism, meeting someone like Erin has to be demoralizing and embarrassing. I can see why he was questioning himself. Erin was the worst person for him to meet. I wouldn't be surprised if he said "forget it. I'll just go back to eating meat. Apparently I'm messing this all up and have no idea what I'm doing."
It's sad cause veganism isn't bad in itself at all but the vegans that gatekeep and bully like Erin make it such a toxic community that actually prevents other people from considering veganism. Instead of encouraging people if they take a step towards becoming vegan, they're always like "that's not good enough, you can't have this" "you're not a REAL vegan", I've literally seen a lot of people stop being vegan or vegetarian cause of that doubt Brandon was feeling after being grilled by Erin. She may as well just say "you can't sit with us" lol this literally has the same vibe
If i was vegan and met someone like that, I'd straight up chow down on a rare steak just to put her in her place....shes not a vegan shes someone who needs an excuse to enforce her "presumed superiority"
I need Brandon’s therapist bc if I was in there I would’ve started screaming at her. Also, love how she ganged up on him and everyone else but as soon as they started pointing out how Tbell and other places can be vegan, she acted like she was the victim 😑😑
Erin is exactly the type of person who does more bad than good for the vegan community. You cant be that self righteous and aggressive and have people be open to your message of veganism.
People aren't even open to the idea of being actually healthy, yeah they don't care about veganism. Most people eat garbage and have chronic health issues.

Erin makes Ellen Degeneres look like an angel what a horrible human being Cody kept me here cause I definitely wouldn’t have stood a chance making it to the end of this one without him
@@maryschlidt6693 Same, I’ve been vegan for a few years and haven’t met a single raw vegan irl in that time. I think it’s because in order to eat fully raw, you need an amount of money and privilege that a lot of people will just never have. The cheapest and longest lasting vegan foods are things like dried beans and rice bought in bulk. Fresh produce is expensive and goes bad fast so you have to go shopping several days a week. Most people can’t afford that and don’t have enough free time to make salads and smoothies for every meal 🫠 and coming from that level of privilege can definitely make a person out of touch with reality, thus the bizarre way a lot of raw vegans act
they’re not actually, the way they process the sugar it’s filtered through bones or something. i don’t remember exactly but i watched this video when it first came out so i looked it up
@@soybeanokra that's an extremely old way of processing sugar and it's highly unlikely they still do it that way. also it's one of those things most vegans don't care about bc it's nearly impossible to avoid.
😂 dying over Cody’s impersonation of Erin! The accuracy 🙌 and poor Brandon deserves an award for being berated by a demon! Cody called it tho so that was awesome! Lol
Honestly though, so many of the group members standing up for Brandon made me feel a lot better about vegans. I thought they would for sure pile on to him, and they defended him. It was neat. ❤
if i had to guess, probably super insecure and undefined. she acts like she found all her self-worth and identity in being vegan, which allows her to feel like she’s inherently better than others.
Well she did say she had a substance abuse issue so she probably didnt form any identity or self worth. Then she found veganism and used that to elevate her self worth.
They use bone char in the sugar refining process and it is slowly becoming easier to avoid that but a lot of vegans don't know that or can't reasonably avoid cane sugar. I wonder if Erin avoids cane sugar. I did work at a gluten free bakery that acknowleged cane sugar making things non vegan but I gave servers at other places the option of making their vegans question their decisions in life or slightly increasing their tip by selling them dessert
