I agree with you that it is inexplicable that a child of seven can sing so emotionally and she has continued to do so. It is as if she reads the lyrics and immediately identifies the emotions within them and then "lives" those emotions when she sings them. No other singer, young or old, can do this. I am in awe of her and as an almost 88 year old, cynical male, it is rather embarrassing :-) Abnd I wouldn't have it otherwise because I now have a reason to live to see her reach her maturity.
@Albert Tenfoot a 66 year old cynical male here, actually much more cynical than most after three marriages, and this child brings me to tears and I am not embarrassed in the least!
Angelina is some kind of musical genius. She is too young to have learned what she seems to effortlessly do. She injects emotion and passion into songs like she’s been doing it for 50 years. She carries a huge talent stack: Voice, timing, pitch, rhythm, emotion, etc. Everything she needs she masters.
Angelina sings since she is 1,5 years old - so she said herself- with JAZZ of all music. Even when she entered this contest, she already was a pro. Have a save 2021.
Sometimes ,there are certain things that can't be explained, especially if God is involved! The stars at night,trees and flowers blooming in the spring, the energy coming from the sun and Angelina! Oh, all the pointy heads on the planet can tell you all the scientific reactions taking place when a flower blooms, but can't tell you how or why! Sometimes ,we have to take things at face value and enjoy them as they were meant to be enjoyed! Some things just defy logic and explanation and Angelina is one of them! Even though this was only the semi-finals, The Judges, the Contestants, and the audiences, both studio and at home knew the contest was over and they were just going through the motions until she was crowned in the finals
This was the semi-finals of 2014 Norway's Got Talent, and Angelina had just turned 8 years old. Many contend that she won the show with this performance. Although her finals performance of Gershwin's "Summertime" was equality as good. "Bang Bang" was composed by Sonny Bono, and recorded by both Nancy Sinatra and Cher. Both recordings were hits, but Cher's had a much faster tempo than Nancy's. Angelina's version is much closer to Nancy's, and like her's, Angelina's is performed with just a single guitar. I prefer Nancy's over Cher's, probably because I like the slower tempo. For me, Angelina's version is as good as either of those. I've listened to all of her covers and originals many times, and sometimes I enjoy going back to the beginning to experience the AWE of her amazing talent at that young age. The judges reactions were a lot like your's Emerson---"How Can This Be"?? I always enjoy your reactions to Angelina, and I believe you have done a lot to advance her career. Thanks for your reaction! May be, these young singers of new generation, like Angelina Jordan, Amira, Dimash, Diana Ank-va etc. are special coming to our planet to save her and us. Despite young age, they don't sing kids songs about flowers or sunny-bunnies. They are very talanted, have a fantastic voices and choose an emotional, sensual adult songs with a beautiful and deep meaning lyrics!They are young people and stay away from the political games,wars or national problems. Their songs about peace, love and feelings! That's their World, their Time and their Planet! They teach us, adults, to appreciate this wonderful life and fantastic world. Through the songs they touch our souls, that's why we are crying, when we listen them. Bravo!

I prefer the other way of critique, not the new RU-vid rules. I think Angelina channels or is being used...the voice of another comes through her. That's my opinion.
I believe some old soul was reincarnated in Angelina Jordan. I'm not sure to believe in that are not, but now I'm a believer. How can a young child sing with a soul love of old music as she does unless it's given to her.
