Yeah, this song predates not only any video game but, also predates spaghetti westerns.

16 Tons was my introduction to Geoff, from there I found Voiceplay and I've been hooked ever since. Ratings aren't necessary, for me everything is a 10 for me.

It's Goff, Jeff, Geoff, Daryl and Jeoph. 😂😂 Marty Robins wrote and sang this back in 1959 when I was 5 years old. I love his adding lyrics to it made his own.

As you don't know the song you won't know that it had only verses in the original, recorded by Marty Robbins, it had no bridge or chorus, so Geoff added some. Geoff did give his clones names for Way Down, based on how some people mispronounces his name and then added one more for Ghost Riders, but you can just call them the Geoffs. Huldra Draco has made a video comparing the two versions which shows Geoff's additions. You do know that Geoff has done a Red Dead Redemption one? Unshaken. Geoff doesn't use falsetto much but he went very high in VoicePlau's short video of Peaches. Actually he only reads out the highest level of patrons, the lower level are listed, and the lowest don't get a mention. It's just one of the perks of paying more.

I so love this song. It's been running on repeat in my head for weeks, since Geoff released it on Patreon. He originally did a short version after so many of us requested it and then we just kept badgering him for the full song so he finally gave in. The original is by Marty Robbins, released in 1959 and had in Geoff's words 8 verses and a 5 word chorus, what do you do with that? Well Geoff added I think 4 bridges and created, IMO, an even better song. If you're curious Huldra Draco does a verse by verse comparison on her channel. She does a lot of great content related to VP & Geoff so please check out her channel. I believe this song was used in Fallout: New Vegas ( I think that's the correct name, I've not played it). By the way Geoff's buddies are Jeff, Goff, Jeoph & Daryl. I'm not sure what order they're sitting in except Geoff is in the middle. They kind of look alike so it's hard to tell them apart! 🤣🤣

I didn't know this song pre-Geoff and it's so dang catchy. I now find it playing in my head (in Geoff's voice).

I would love to see geoff and mitch do something together. That would be insane.

It's also been in Red Dead Redemption 2, and Fallout: New Vegas. Geoff loves to stay relevent while proclaiming himself "old and boring."
