A lot of reasons you don't hear about CL until recently was because her company basically held her hostage. They had her on contract but wouldn't let her release music. She is beloved in Korea and in America. Her company just treated her terribly. She finally has a new start.
A great follow-up to this video to watch is Chuck. A more recent song with the same dancers and choreographer. The choreographer is now pretty famous. She did Rihanna's Superbowl performance. CL becomes friends with and stays friends with everyone she meets from actors like John Malkovich to singers like Beyonce and designers like Jeremy Scott to name a few.
