@@captainbirch9835 here's the thing, since she doesn't have sight, her brain can pick up on it instantly (since humans have a slight delay due to visual ques). Without sight, anything that moves, she will see instantaneously, whereas with sight, people have a 1-3 second delay before their brain can actually process movement and what you see.
@@satunko8565 you're ignoring one very important factor, since Toph doesn't have sight, her reaction time is far better as she no longer has the 1-3 second delay from her eye's to her brain. This means the moment someone moves, she knows and her body, due to a lot of training, has the ability to react instantaneously to it.
Except, blood bending can only happen under certain circumstances. Plus Toph is at most large building level, Gaara is mountain level as a low ball. Toph is weaker than Gaara so she won't be overpowering his chakra infused sand. Toph also doesn't have the speed to compete with Gaara, this fight was lazy and poorly researched.
@TheSmashMaster9000 She may be the strongest Earthbender in her universe, but that doesn't mean anything outside of it. She still needs to overpower Gaara's chakra and the sand's chakra, which is unlikely because she's probably only city block level at best.

He said toph could beat an entire army by herself that's it. Gaara stopped a shitload of meteors from hitting earth with just his sand. Gaara has saved the earth so many times. Toph has only saved villages

Toph best an entire army by herself, won Earth Rumble 6 multiple times, held up an entire castle, (which not to mention is larger than any village Gaara has encountered) she held up an entire mine for hours also. She even invented a new bending technique that was used generations later.
John Mormando no matter how strong toph is she can't beat garra. She doesn't have the speed and in that bullshit part when she took the spike off and stabbed garra with it. The sand is too strong. It's IMPOSSIBLE to sneak up on garra because he doesn't control the sand his mom does so in that bullshit part where she hit him from behind would have never happened.

Its her holding the giant libary only for less then a minute and she was only able to do it with her earth bending powers without it toph physicall power is not enough to break wood(iam not kidding it is shown in the series) and her durabaillity is thet of a normal human so the only thing she can use to shield herself is stone iron and maybe steel wich means she hase no way of defending against kid garra let alone adult garra so you need more proofe

Out of all the Death Battles I've watched, which is probably only around 20 of them to be honest, this is the one I most disagreed with. I'm a major fan of both of these franchises and they left out major details from both. Specifically they get a lot wrong with both Toph's ability to bend metal and see through sand. Toph can't see clearly in sand even when she has direct contact with it and she can't actually bend metal unless there are a significant amount of impurities in it. That's plenty if she wants to bend large pieces of metal but she would only be able to bend metal dust if each grain had a large enough impurity for her to sense. More importantly Toph actually needs to move her normal human body to do any sort of bending. Meanwhile even as a genin Gaara's sand could move around as fast as Rock Lee with him doing basically nothing. They mention in the video that you need to be near the speed of sound to avoid Gaara's sand but they kind of ignore that point in the battle. In a serious fight Toph would be dead before she even had a chance to earthbend. Honestly most chunin or jounin level ninja could probably kill a civilian with a kunai before they could move and physically speaking Toph is basically a civilian by the standards of the Naruto world.
Gaara would've killed toph with his sand, considering he buried a whole forest with it and it badly damaged a dude who was several times stronger than steel, this was when Gaara was young too.
@@paradox2707 First of all, she doesn't have the speed to keep up with Gaara and secondly, Gaara vastly exceeds her AP threshold. She has never demonstrated feats even close to Gaara.
@@paradox2707 Just being able to sand bend isn't enough. Many characters in Avatar are able to bend the same elements but there are still people who are vastly stronger and weaker than each other. Toph can easily bend other people's rocks because she is more powerful and skilled than them, but not every Earthbender can do the same to Toph. This is just like that, Gaara is vastly above anything Toph can do. Plus his sand isn't normal sand, it's imbued with his own and his mother's chakra, so Toph would first have to be able to overcome those before she gets to his actual sand. But before all that, she gets blitzed and oneshot, the speed difference is too high.
