Thanks, Frank; I appreciate a lot of what you have to say, but C. S. Lewis was NOT a Christian (*he was actually, at most, a theist), as he seemed to deny the purpose of the Atonement, and also falsely and blasphemously, attributed Psalm 137 of Holy Scripture to the enemy; and he denied Inerrancy in other ways, as well.

Some people think God created the Universe; some people think nothing did. Which is the funniest guess? The nothing people make fun of the God people they say God doesn't exist; ok maybe, but do you know what definitely doesn't exist, nothing. That's the defining characteristic of nothing is that it doesn't exist. So what are we talking about, either you think it's God something you can't see, touch, taste, photograph and science can't prove, or you think it's nothing something you can't see, touch, taste, photograph and science can't prove. I think we can all agree that if nothing, if your nothing spontaneously erupts into everything that's a pretty miraculous nothing. When you ask the nothing people what happens when you die they'll tell ya nothing you go into nothing. Do they mean that they merge back with their creator???

@@gi169 Human rights come from the United Nations declaration of human rights, 1948. Upholding and respecting human rights is what humans have collectively agreed to do. That's how we get them. Your Christian religion didn't invent human rights. The Christian religion is actually ideologically anti-human rights because it doesn't recognize the freedom of or from religion, for example.

Not sure what you mean by inherently. If you mean by default, naturally, I think all are. Maybe some more than others. But keeping hygene to today's human standard is hardly natural. If we take into account the use of modern stuff, pretty much all of them can be performed in a sanitary way.

@@katamas832 heterosexual sex (penis and vagina) between a healthy man and woman does not necessarily cause any diseases. In fact it is too healthy. You might make babies that way. However, there are risks to your health for anal sex, even between completely healthy couples, gay or straight. You can get feces in your urethra and get a urinary track infection or even a bladder infection that may kill you in a week if untreated. Ask a doctor for details. This is what I mean be inherently unsanitary. Do you really think the gay community is going to admit that condoms are necessary in their sex acts to protect their health. They can't. For that's the same as admitting that there was a good reason to prohibit gay marriage before condoms and lubricants were available. And they would rather think that it was only prejudice and patriarchy that was suppressing their otherwise perfectly healthy activity.

However, as far as I'm aware, there is no physical harm in the act of sex between mature and healthy heterosexual couples. There can be complications in pregnancy. But that does not necessarily have anything to do with the sexual act itself. You can still get those problems with artificial insemination.

When he said "It's not make them believers in Jesus Christ, it's make them Disciples" that hit hard. The Word is right there in front of our eyes. I think, some of us as believers, become so passionate about God that we miss such a simple thing. So many people, from both sides at times, try to push and shove a narrative rather than listen and learn from all views. I think that what Mav is experiencing is people who push, scream, and shout "Repent" ,"You're going to Hell", "Turn or burn", etc. These things screamed are not a conversation, nor a way of discipling. This is why, in my opinion, Mav counter reacts in the same way. If, we as Christians, actually sit down and talk with people and have a "Monologue", I think that people like Mav would have an easier time talking to and getting along with Christians. Such a good word from Cross Examined. Amen!

Hello sister, I hope you had an awesome Sunday. In our study of Revelation this morning the pastor told us about his trip to Hungary as part of the mission they evangelized in some park and one of the ladies with our church was there and an "atheist" was asking her questions that she couldn't answer, so she shared the gospel for every one of his questions. The next day he came back and told her that the night before all he could think about was the gospel she shared with him in the park the previous day. He is saved now. I read a bunch of comments you made to FrankyC, and that was most certainly the Lord commenting through you to FrankyC (moist robot) he does not realize it. Thank you. Be well and God bless ..

Come on DannyBoy, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. If you affirm a sin you are sinning. You will help no one mired in sexual sin by saying someone can be anything other than a Christian. A Christian's identity is in Jesus Christ, not in their sexual proclivity. You are lying for your master the adversary by saying that a person can be both mired in sexual sin and be a Christian. Now, the truthful statement would be that a person can struggle with sinful thoughts and believe in Jesus. Christians are justified by belief in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, but we still are imperfect people. In our belief we are justified and thereby saved from death, but through the Holy Spirit we become scantified, and when we go to the Father we will be glorified. I doubt you have the capacity in your hardened heart to comprehend this, but that is your answer to your acceptance of a sin.
