DPR IAN has commented on interviews that the various door references through the videos represent memories. If the door is open, or he can open it, he has access to the memory. If the door was locked, as was the case at the end of So I Danced, it's a memory MITO has that he keeps from Ian. I believe Peanut Butter and Your Tears "takes place" after So I Danced. As such, the doors at the beginning are the memories that Mr. Insanity unlocked at the end. Maybe some root trauma as a trial which helped generate MITO in the first place as a protector persona.
So basically the guy in so I danced is Mr.Insanity which represents his manic highs, and the one with one eye and in dark clothes is MITO which represents his manic lows. These two characters are shown a lot throughout the storyline and will make more sense in order. Thank you for your reaction and welcome to the other side!
Thank you for your reaction! Your discussion about the alternate universe lens was quite interesting. It made me think about my dissociation thru different perspective. Also, I'm very bumbed that I never came up with it myself bc I consume a lot of au fiction iykyk. Anyways thanks, I will be overanalyzing it for the next week.

I wish we could do reactions together, I think we would have a lot to talk about 😄 (my reactions are on a different channel and IAN is my favorite artist for all the reasons) But please don't censure yourself, I feel like way too many reactors do that to stay in tune with the industry, and we need to break it down a bit imo.. I totally agree with you on the topic of not letting artists express their darker sides, fake happiness isn't really relatable and it gets tiring when all we want is to connect with others (now more than ever). IAN for me is a catalyst for the shift we need, especially in certain countries who suppresses the darkness. Keep it going! ❤
