Their producers leez and ollounder have been with them since debut, it’s honestly insane how they keep coming up totally new and experimental stuff.

the thing is about dreamcatcher, the rock (sometimes anime-ish but not always) vibes are simply what gives them their edge and unique flare in the kpop industry, but the more you dive into their b-sides the more you'll realize they can do anything really, basically everything the kpop industry has to offer they can do, they're just that talented, the producers and the girls alike, and even if you don't like that kind of sound you come to appreciate it once you've seen just how terrifyingly versatile and at the same time different they are, at least that's my experience with it

Dreamcatcher's songs let the instrumental breathe when the song calls for it. The bridge of Sleep-walking, one of my favorite b-sides, is purely instrumental and goes so hard. 🥰

Really appreciate the more musical insight into the songs as a fellow (bass) guitar player! There are definitely not a lot of groups in kpop that give so much room to the instrumentals to shine on their own as Dreamcatcher does. Their main producers (Leez & Ollounder) really have a good grasp on how to introduce various different musical genres and mix them together with some more traditional kpop elements to bring us outstanding songs such as this one! I noticed that their producers love to experiment with them (and they have the same producers since 2017). Partly must be because the girls have ranges that suit most of genres when blended together. If you want to take a look, here are my favourite Dreamcatcher's B-sides: - Diamond - In the Frozen - July 7th - And There Was No One Left - New Days(written by one of the members) And hopefully you'll pick this one for you next reaction from them - Whistle (my most favourite b-side so far) Edit: adding one more - 'Poison Love'

The instrumental outro is even more amazing to me because of the title of the track "Silent Night". The vocals are silenced but the instrumental are getting faster and faster and are adding more and more different sound giving some kind of emergency feelings. And love the nerdy talks. Many InSomnias are found of nerdy instrumental talks! Dreamcatcher even performed with a band composed by fans for one of their B-sides "Mayday" and released the video on their official channel. Thanks for continuing with Dreamcatcher B-sides which are gems.

If you liked Silent Night then I recommend In the Frozen which is similar... but BETTER (imo). B-sides you'll probably like are Black or White, Wonderland, Jazz Bar, Whistle, And There Was No One Left, July 7th, Can't Get You Out Of My Mind, Poison Love, Lullaby, etc. You probably won't like Sahara or Break the Wall, due to the rock/metal elements, but the MV's for both were self made and are the girls just being their crack head selves lol (Handong was in China for both Sahara and Break the Wall so she's not in the MV's, but they made up for it by making her the MC of Poison Love which was made after Sahara and Break the Wall! It's hilarious! x'D). I also still recommend Deja Vu and Piri of their main tracks (Deja Vu was, admittedly, made for the King's Raid game, but it's SUCH a good song and the MV is like a movie! It's my favorite of their MV's. And Piri while it still has a rock element, it's a very interesting song and has some traditional elements via the piri instrument, which is like a cross between a flute and an oboe).

This made me think you'll like Sleep Walking (budget m/v) or Diamond. The members are also working to be more involved in creating their music if that has appeal. Dami has written her raps for quite a few songs. JiU, Siyeon, Dami wrote for Black or White, a song with a powerful message and partial homage to Michael Jackson. It has a great m/v with Dingo music (free for reaction). JiU wrote and composed a song to Insomnia called Dear, a soft ballad the complete opposite of Dreamcatcher expectations.

Dreamcatcher tracks love instrumentals. Their albums all have short instrumentals intros as track #1, followed by their title track. I didn't know you were a 'rock' guy, or else I would have added more to the suggestion list in that last video comment. But I'm pretty sure some others will suggest those tracks, poprockmetal fusion

I'm glad you like the two Dreamcatcher songs that you reacted to in the channel! \(^o^)/ I'll drop some recommendations here for Dreamcatcher that aren't that anime type music in my opinion (though I'm a bit ignorant of what video-game type rock sounds like) in no particular order: - Jazz Bar - And Then There Was No One Left - Wonderland - In The Frozen - Poison Love - Break The Wall - Diamond - Scream - Odd Eye - Shadow (drama OST, only Dami and Siyeon) - Shadow Slow Ver (drama OST, only Dami and Siyeon) - Black And White I'm sure there are so many more, and other less scatter-brained Insimnias will be better at recommending them in a more organized manner. What I really wanted to say was that Dreamcatcher truly has some very good songs that have rock elements or are primarily rock that are not that anime-ish sound they debuted with. I myself was lukewarm to that sound, but I fell in love with their performances instead at that time. Oh and they actually sang the opening song for an anime (an anime I didn't like but the song was good imo) and collaborated with a couple of games, so yeah, I love how you kinda caught onto that vibe without knowing this, I wasn't genre savvy enough to notice. xD Anyway, I'm rambling now oops xD Thank you for the reaction, have a nice day! ^^

This song is really nice, I just ran to it earlier today haha. Like you mentioned, the album Dystopia: The Tree of Language that 'Red Sun' came off of would be a good listen as it has a bunch of different styles of songs.

Silent Night was actually kind of a turning point for DC, and for producers LEEZ and Ollounder. Up till now, their title tracks had all been pretty much rock-inspired pop. Silent Night was a bit of an experiment in injecting more EDM into their music, and it proved so popular with InSomnia that they decided to follow down that route with their follow-up title track, Scream... 9:25 "Eden just entered the building..." I assume you're referring to the producer Eden? Because I'm not sure if you're aware, but these guys are also part of his Edenary team that work with Ateez... 😉

since you are going through their non-rock b-sides, try ones with special clips videos like "and there was no one left"
